Survival Evolved: Incarnation

*ALL CHAPTERS ARE FREE* With little to no explanation for their wiped memory, several survivors, referred to as Arkians, wake up on a beach on what seems to be Earth. These survivors have many differences, but the most defining one is Sky; The one with a White Stone on the back of his left hand. What kind of journey will Sky undergo because of this White Stone? Survival Evolved is meant to take place through the eyes of a teenage boy (mainly), meaning that some things he doesn't pick up on or connect in his mind are done ON PURPOSE. 2. Survival Evolved often describes gore/wounds in a gruesome way. There are many scenes in which slavery, human trafficking, or torture are talked about, so read with caution!

Carl VS June (2)

-1:09 P.M.-

"If you keep attacking me, I won't let you live," I told June, but she only shrugged.

"Some things are so important that you need to put your life on the line. I'm sure you understand that, above all else." She told me.

June started grabbing onto the pieces of her armor around all of her joints and ripped each one off. She was willingly revealing more weak points for me to hit, but I believed her mobility would multiply once each piece came off. To combat that, I charged in and swung at the first open point.

Just as I thought, she blocked the point and bashed her shield against my face, pushing me backward. Blood dripped out of my nose, and there wasn't a smile on her face anymore. We finally got serious.

June took initiative and charged in with her shield. She swung it around widely in hopes of hitting my chest, but she continuously missed because of the way I positioned myself. June was an erratic person, I could tell based on how she swung.

She would tire herself out faster than she could kill me because she never thought ahead. Every time I moved, she struck where I was standing. I didn't think she was doing that without a plan though.

Suddenly, my foot dipped into the ground and my knees fell weak to the angle I bent at. I gasped out in pain and shot backward as six blades shot out of the edge of her shield. It caught my pant leg and ripped most of the right one off. She clicked her tongue in irritation as I panted out of shock.

"One simple mistake is all it takes with me," June said, starting to rip the rest of her armor pieces off. I was completely outmatched, I needed to act smartly and try to figure out a way to triumph over her.

What would Sky do?

June ran at me again and I successfully lunged over the width of her shield and cut a piece of the armor off of her head. She looked surprised. If she wasn't anticipating that I'd fight back, then I'm missing something crucial to the way she thinks.

June seems cocky and confident with no regard for other people. She thinks I'm prone to giving up... I need to take advantage of that!

I swung repeatedly at her shield. After the third strike on the metallic surface, sparks shot out, and one of her blades was inserted into my forearm. I gasped out in pain and threw the axe right past her face. It stuck into the tree right behind her.

Covering the wound that poured blood, I slid underneath her legs again. She attempted to close them to catch my body. Since June took off the armor from all of her joints, the back of her knee was exposed!

I quickly took the knife off of my hip and cut it into the back of her knee. The heavy armor on her body instantly dropped to the floor as blood seeped out of her wounds as well. She was stuck screaming on the ground in agonizing pain as I ran for my axe that was stuck in the tree.

She panted and heaved over on the ground as if she was struck with a fatal illness after I took the axe out of the tree next to her. I grabbed onto it with my metallic hand, knowing she would try to attack me once more.

"STOP! I DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU!" I yelled out to June. I noticed blood pouring through her armor pieces on the floor. What hit her that hard? And why was there blood coming out of her gauntlet?

"That's too bad... because I don't feel the same way." Something shifted in her armor and all in the same second, several blades shot out of all pieces, some even piercing my body. They were all shallow wounds, but the sheer force of the impact shocked me and sent me to the ground dripping with blood.

I coughed as I thanked my luck that the one that shot into my throat wasn't fatal, but that luck soon ended when I saw June get up once more. There's no way she should be standing... what the hell?!

She planted her shield into the ground right beside me and she fell once more, coughing up blood. The marks on the ground that once tripped me finally got to her and gave me the advantage. I got back up on my feet and began to run away.

"Leaving your teammate? That's a shame... I'll go kill her then." June said.

She was right... I was a coward for abandoning Mandi. I wouldn't let her do that, no matter how scared for my own life I was. The person I have to thank for that... or people... would be Sky and Lia.

Those two are unknowingly the main motivation for us all. Sky had drastically changed ever since Tavian took him under his wing, and Lia's allegiance to save us and become our friends was important too. Those two made me want to fight for them, they were natural-born leaders, something from a different planet.

The charisma they radiated, the pumped-up energy you'd feel from Sky every time he gave out orders, the motivation you'd get when Lia stood up once more, regardless of her injuries... they were my heroes.

I threw all of my fear away and jumped onto June's back. The blades already fell to the floor once they exerted off of her body after her latest attack, so I could do this freely!

I put my fingers into her eye sockets and shook her until she fell to the floor, screaming in agony. "YOU WON'T HURT ANYBODY ELSE!" I yelled at June.

June grabbed me by the bottom of my arm and flipped me over her head. My back hit the ice and all of the air left my lungs on impact. After that, she rose her foot up to stomp it into my chest. I slipped the last form of defense I had off of my other leg and held the small buckler exactly under where her heel was going.

My buckler bent out of shape and her heel was digging into my chest. It was a guarantee that most if not all of my ribs had just broken along with my sternum. It was hard to breathe under the pressure.

She pushed straight through both the buckler and my plate mail and put an injury this devastating onto my body. I found my last retaliation to be to stick my metal hand underneath the buckler. I reached to my side to find one of her blades exerted off of her body, and I quickly stuck it into the back of her knee once more. She screamed again and stumbled to the floor in pain while holding both of her legs.

Hearing somebody cry like that broke my heart, but I couldn't have her threaten the lives of my friends!

I finalized my attack by stomping onto both of her wrists, looking her dead in her eyes, and raising her shield over her throat.

"Why are you smiling?!" I asked her. My chest was starting to close up now.

"Because you missed one." She told me.

In a split second, June grabbed my ankle and I felt six piercing wounds shoot me with the most intense pain I've ever felt. I yelled and screamed while dropping the shield. It hit June in the throat and I stumbled backward, digging some of the blades straight through my ankle.

I couldn't feel my foot at all, but my sacrifice wasn't for nothing as I heard June gasp for air like she couldn't get it. Within moments, she fell over, spilling even more blood and eventually being reduced into a pale version of the woman I just fought.

I grabbed my adrenaline shot and stuck it straight into my chest. I knew for a fact that the step from June's heel gave me some issues. I couldn't breathe straight and I felt light-headed. My foot was still shooting with pain, but it wasn't nearly as bad.

I can't get up and walk back... I don't know where Mandi is... shit, am I going to die here?
