The pit left on the ground was so deep and scorched that it was enough to disappear the bodies of a thousand mammoth elephants .Xerxes was in pain of his own .He did not have the energy or desire to look at a hole in the ground .His body was changing on a fundamental level as each cell was birthed anew .Xerxes' giant wolfish body was undergoing a change from its core .His front legs were the first to change as they rapidly morphed into humanoid hands with claws so sharp they left ravines in the ground .His hind legs followed suite as humanoid legs replaced them except that his knees faced the wrong direction and the claws and fur further separated them from normal human legs .

Xerxes stood up with his body reaching a staggering 200,000m.His ears pointed upwards and his sharp canines could clearly be seen by anyone with interest. Xerxes' face also rearranged itself to look more humanoid but with far more hair and blood ruby eyes and hid head was filled with white hair whose strands were as wide as ropes and flowed down to his back .The roots of the hair were blood red giving hin a sinister but harmonious look.

Xerxes opened his mouth to howl at the sky but what came out was a guttural growl that no animal or beast could ever make due to its unnatural sound .

Xerxes looked around and he felt invincible . He could sense the feebleness of the world .His sheer might ,he sensed that it could dest4oy the world if he so willed or was careless with his actions .

The forest had been destroyed and the once green trees were now broken shard pieces of wood .The residents of the nearby city were mortified at the sight of the giant beast that stood in the center of the devastation that had befallen the forest ,their most lucrative source of livelihood or ,it used to be.

The beast seemed to look at the residents with a grin on its face and hunger in its eyes.

The city mayor, a short fellow by the name Murong Ba stood on the city wall with his two million soldiers who were wielding weapons of all sizes and designs, sabers, swords ,spears and even halberds but one thing was constant ,they were all pointed at the giant .

The residents were not wrong in their observation, Xerxes was hungry and unsurprisingly, humans were on his menu. He started running towards the city at incredible speed. Wherever his feet landed ,a large foot print was left and the ground around it was left cracked and devastated .

"Fire "shouted mayor Murong Ba as he waved his right hand pointing towards the giant. Archers on the wall released arrows from their bows at incredible speeds .The archers employed a unique technique that set their arrows ablaze mid flight .

The arrows hit Xerxes but they had no effect whatsoever. He simply continued his mad dash towards the city .On seeing this ,the faith of the soldiers was shaken and many wanted to flee immediately but their fear of the mayor was still greater and their belief in the mayor's might was almost unshakable .The mayor was in the earth monarch realm .Earth monarchs were a realm above the life realm which seemed to be the cultivation realm of the monster attacking their city and although it was just one realm below the earth monarch realm ,the life realm was no comparison to an earth monarch .One hundred cultivators at the peak of the life realm were no match for a single earth monarch.
