052 Threatening Her

Claire ignored her unpleasant words and she crouched down. She opened the bag and carefully checked if everything is there. "What about the jade? Did you take it?" She checked again and found out that it was the only thing that is missing. She remembers it because her mother would often wear it like a necklace and kept saying that it was to be ggiven to her when she grew up.

Alice sneered, "Do you think I would take your belongings? Claire, I have money now. As well as status and identity. I won't take things that belonged to the dead."

"I clearly remember that piece of jade. Hurry up and return it to me." Her voice is resolute.

Alice actually knows where that jade is, but she wanted to make Claire miserable. "If you want that piece of jade, fine. But you need to agree to one condition. Not only will I return you the jade, I will also give you a large sum of money, enough for you to live a very luxurious lifestyle." Claire laughed coldly, "And if I don't agree?"

Claire froze. She did not expect Alice tto be this merciless. Thinking about it, Claire guessed a little of what Alice is thinking and asked, "Is this related to Dempsey Wilson?"

Alice's mind went blank. With an unhappy face she coldy replied, "What does it have to do with him? I just don't want to see you. I hate you!"

"Alice, how did you have much achievements? Was it because you work harder than everyone else? Or is it because you relied on someone else? He is the one who brought you tto your current position." Claire laughed sarcastically.

Every word she said is like a knife slicing through Alice. Her hands and feet turned cold. With a pounding heart, she stared straight at Claire's eyes.

Seeing that she could not speak and her ashen face, Claire knew that she guessed right. "The rumors said that you are Dempsey's girlfriend, and he contributed a lot to make you a big star. Just now, at the restaurant, Dempsey said that he wanted me to go to his private room to drink with him, you became anxious and said that you will return my mother's things. I was wondering, Alice, are you afraid?" Claire stood akimbo, looking calm and composed, but her every word caused Alice's face to turn paler and paler.

"You left the country five years ago. I thought you didn't want these trash anymore. My friend liked it, so I gave it away. It's not worth a lot of money anyways." Alice replied with disdain.

"Alice, you are going to far! I'm warning you. Take back the jade immediately, or else, I will go outside and ruin your reputation."
