In the dark room where no light shines through, the despondent atmosphere is filled with eerie silence as the wind blows slowly.
"That was a wonderful performance; it was truly mesmerizing… Though you could've just made it much easier to move around."
Mayward's voice was deep and lacked the thrill that he emitted during past conversations with Arthas.
His voice echoed through the room as heavy footsteps resonated through the floor.
"Sir Morgan has asked me to check up on you, Mayward." A low, deep male voice replied in the shadows.
Footsteps approached Mayward as he kept his back facing the man.
"He is impressed by your dedication and has decided to help in your endeavors. However, expect that it would deviate from the original plan… in exchange–"
"I know. I can find the cure for her daughter, though I didn't expect he would use his daughter to blackmail Francis."
"Sir Morgan can use things to his advantage… even using his daughter's name in vain."
The somber atmosphere added a sense of depth to the mood of the conversation as it elevated the tension within the dark and gloomy room.
"Even using his daughter's name…" Mayward muttered. "Tell Morgan, Arthas can help him. I can convince him to help, but for now, he is too weak to do anything."
"Agreed, we will be the ones to support you and him in the shadows. However, certain trials must be his endeavors alone."
Rustling sounds were heard from behind as Mayward stood still with his back toward the man's voice.
"I gave you these presents and gifts so that you could make something useful. Unfortunately, they were, that's all. Goodbye."
A loud thud was then heard from behind. It took a while for Mayward to look back before judging that it was safe to turn around.
On the ground was a large hand with scales crawling up to the end. The large hand was ripped right off the arm.
"You've got to be kidding me, Arthas. You better survive. From here on out, things will be rough."
*************************
"Maria! Come here, play with us," the kids called the dinosaur as they ran around chasing her in the room.
With the lively festival ongoing ever since the day started, Arthas was given a celebration that was worth more than he expected.
All day he was given food, drinks, and gifts made of wood and a cheerful farewell.
Moltar and the others entertained him, and for the first time, he felt truly appreciated by the work he had done.
Shuna and the others were playing around with the dinosaurs. Morpheus and Nemesis were having fun with being played and touched.
Though Morpheus kept on sleeping and casually opened his eyes whenever he felt something touch him or an intense stare gazes through him.
After long hours of celebrating and dancing, Arthas excused himself, telling Moltar not to disturb their celebration as though he was still there.
Arthas then told him that he would start packing his things and keep everything in check and see that tomorrow would be a day for the journey.
Walking back to his proclaimed home, he shut the door with care as he illuminated the darkness with a candle.
The kindled candle made way for him to allow him to sit down on the bed. As he went closer, he saw a bedsheet of mound.
Upon further looking, he saw that it was Castor and Pollux who were sleeping on the bed.
They silently lay down with a relaxed look on their faces. Arthas didn't notice that they were out of the celebration but remembered that they were running around having fun with kids.
"Ralia, are you there? I need to talk to you about something."
A figure of a girl then appeared out of thin air, with a beautiful glow of light that encompassed her face and the shine of the moonlight hair that continued to glow ever so slowly.
"Yeah? What do you want?"
"We talked about magic, right? How far can you teach me and how well can you teach me?"
The girl sighed and grabbed a chair as she gracefully sat down in front of Arthas, who sat down on the bed beside the small rexes.
"You see, it's not about me; it's about you. Well, truth be told, it's about technique and teachings, but to be honest, it is the aptitude of the person whether they would be void of talent or have the capability to properly utilize mana."
She opened her hands, and a clump of earth began to resonate and formed on top of her palm, slowly but surely visible.
"We, elves, have the affinity and compatibility to use Earth-related magic and the likes of nature in such ways that it makes us feel like we are part of the ground. However, although we are special in our ways, there are still some of us that have discrepancies that would fail to show results."
"So you mean there are people that are incompatible with their element or unable to properly use it even though they are supposed to be very well suited for it?"
Ralia nodded her head, "Yes, that is the case." She blew on her hand as the dirt that was formed in her hand began to dissipate through the wind.
"But what does that have to do with me? I get that not all have the ability to use it, but why start with that boring stuff?"
"Shut up and just listen, will you?" Ralia then sighed a deep breath and closed her eyes as she once again took a deep breath, taking in the atmosphere.
"You might have seen humans do extraordinary things, magic, glowing swords, or maybe even explosions, but humans originally don't have the ability to actually use mana." Ralia leaned closer as her every word echoed in Arthas's ear.
Confused by her statements, Arthas's forehead scrunched, and he tilted his head in response, "What do you mean? Aren't they using it on a daily basis?" Ralia smiled, which looked more like a smirk, expecting that reaction.
'Originally? So does that mean that humans weren't actually able to use mana? Did they adapt to this environment? Is this what they call evolution?' Arthas thought as he kept a steady face, waiting for Ralia's answer.
"Yeah, though it's a long thing in the past. It might even be the thing that instigated this whole cold-blooded war, though that is history, and nothing more can be done." Ralia's nonchalantly said so.
"Isn't that information that you shouldn't just talk to anyone? If people here knew about their origins then—"
"Oh, people know, errr, to be specific. The Kings and Queens know about this, but do you really think that they can do anything at this point? And to answer your other questions, you are now a champion of the dominion; you're bound to know this sooner or later."
Ralia's careless attitude made Arthas skeptical about this whole thing that humans weren't able to properly use magic, but it does make sense considering that the humans on his planet weren't able to do anything remarkable other than science.
'But wait, if that is so, then why can I use magic? Probably because of the blessing, but other than the system can I even use outside magic? Will it even be possible?' Arthas thought about the possibilities.
"Well anyways, that little detour is done, I'll continue with the main topic. Sure I can teach you magic, but remember the deal. I do my part; you do yours, got it?" Ralia's bratty attitude came back right after her teacher mode.
"Uhh, Yeah sure, whatever. Tomorrow morning then. By the way, is there any special part you want to visit in a human city?"
It caught Ralia's attitude as her eyes glowed with passion and excitement, "MUSEUM, I wanna see the Museum. I heard there were some prehistoric things in there! I even heard that they contain one of the treasures of the Hunt!"
Her excitement caught him off guard, but he smiled as he ended the conversation and went off to bed.

For the past few weeks, it has been a tedious, and frustrating week. Midterms are coming up, and things are happening, and more things are sure to come. I will try my best to update regularly again when everything is over. I am really grateful for those that have stuck in this story.
