Fire Hazard

The Red Dominion is a place full of destinations and a burning passion for life. To say the least, it was really hot, it was probably one of the hottest places on the planet.

Lava continued to spew from the ground and random fires erupt from the ground peeking out like it was trapped for a very long time inside the planet. They would come out at random and would shock all the life that was inside.

"Hey, Rexy I think it's better that you should listen to me you know, it should be possible since I summoned you but why the hell aren't you reacting to what I say?"

An irritated voice was heard as it echoed through the large desert, the sandy atmosphere with heat waves that were relentless in their pursuit made it hard for Arthas to properly communicate with the dinosaur.

Its large size was intimidating enough that it easily passed the height of trees in length. It was truly a sigh to behold, the behemoth that stood still and looked at him with annoyance. The Rex watched as Arthas shouted from below him hearing just a murmur from above, however, it was also possible that he chose not to listen to Arthas.

'Snortttt—'

"Oh so now you're gonna snort at me huh? That's wonderful behavior, yes, fuck you"

"Rawrawraawrarwarawrawraw" and with that statement the Rex made a snob expression at Arthas.

"Oh this bitch actually has the balls—ah wait are you even a boy? Wait do dinos even have sacks to begin with?"

"Grrrrrrrrrrr!!"

"Alright, Alright, I won't intentionally look okay? So how are you right now, I know it might be a sudden summon but hey it's fine right?"\

"Rowr"

"I'll take that as a yes, it was a good meeting with you, but I need your help getting out of this hot place"

"Sigh"

'What the? Can a dinosaur even sigh?'

As Arthas gave a request to let him ride the Rex, it bowed its head as it gave a go signal, although they might have some differences and arguments in the end they have this special bond that somehow would let them understand each other.

'Huh, it's like those shitty friends of yours that you can just joke casually and just fight verbally with each other. Even though we just met it certainly felt like that. Not that I have a problem with it.'

Arthas and the Rex continued to walk down the path that seems to be the most reasonable to get out, while on top of the Rex, Arthas was sightseeing around him, although there wasn't much to see from the sandy and dusty environment it was certainly an aberration to see things like this.

'On earth, there shouldn't be like this no? Well, at least I haven't heard of it. It would be cool to have something like this maybe less intimidating but yes.'

Both of them went on a boring journey as they traveled by the hot land, and occasionally the rex would suddenly stumble to the sandy area as its feet were very heavy. But it, later on, adjusted to the environment knowing how much force is needed to properly tread on this type of land.

'This is really weird, I know that this is almost equivalent to a barren wasteland, but there should be lifeforms present in the area. The proof would be that those Tax Collectors somehow managed to stay here, so it's better to assume that there should be more that can live on this situation.'

Time passed and they quickly reached the edge of the Red Dominion, the outside was lush with green and healthy trees that surround the place. Separating between them the atmosphere that is wavy from the intense that seems to be made from mana disguises this place from the outside world.

The wavy air that was from the heat was from the dense formulation of mana and formulas that were tasked to protect this environment. Arthas doesn't know about this but guessed that it has to be something along these lines otherwise, creatures would be here running around.

'It really is quite strange that there are no other creatures that would be in the area. I have to be vigilant.'

"Hey Rexy, be careful, our journey has been quiet. Too quiet to be considered safe that it would be called eerie in a way."

The Rex responded with a small growl as if to say that he knows. The rex looked around the area to also sense that something is different from the environment and everything seemed so easily attained.

"There is no such thing as a free entry in this world much more in an unknown world where there is magic and monsters. Where could they be hiding"

It was silent, it was spine-tingling silent. It was for a moment that Arthas said to himself that he might have been overthinking and might have brain damage from all the events that are happening.

He almost convinced himself that he did until the ground violently shook and the pebbles on the ground began to rapidly bounce up and down like a party that has reached its climax.

"There they are, those sneaky bastards."

"GRRRRRR—"

The Rex squinted its eyes and killing intent began to radiate to the surroundings, the rex showed its sharp teeth to the intruders that chose to snuck behind them. Arthas had cold sweat as he watched monsters from the horizon come after the other, it was hell he thought. There were so many that even a hundred hands wouldn't be able to count them all.

"Fuck" Arthas cursed as he had a huge grin with a scary face that was full of excitement and anxiety as to what would happen next.

The rex roared to the monsters that came to face them, there were many kinds that would be dangerous. Bugs, and of course more deadly bugs. They were way larger than what they were on Earth, it was due to the dense mana that is in this environment.

"Hey Rex, prepare to fight. I will be totally useless against them all, I just hope you good luck"

The Rex didn't reply however, he leaned a bit forward and crouched preparing a stance as the rex waited for the bugs to attack first. It was a terrible situation to be in for both of them.

More Bugs came into view, they surrounded the Rex. Arthas estimated that there should at least be a thousand bugs that are present here.

"This is so fucking weird. Why now? Why come out now? Tsk"

Arthas was scared, it was the first time that he would be placed in a real life or death situation, though it wasn't his first fight it was certainly the first that he would fight gigantic bugs in large quantities.

"Really wish I have some kind of bug spray, maybe fire will work somehow. If I can find one big enough to burst them to pieces"

It was at this moment the final stand between life and death for Arthas who just reincarnated into this world and the Rex that has been summoned to the material world fought with their newly engaged life.
