Waiting For My Apology

"Eternal Soul Magic: Soul Bind."

Drow stood up again, saying, "…I won't hold back now."

"Oh, so…you weren't serious before?"

"…I haven't used the full potential of the Soulreaper. This Karambit holds ancient enchantments that allow it to transform into various weapons, each with its own unique properties. It's a manifestation of my connection to the stars and the celestial energies that flow through me. When I channel my star magic into the Karambit, it responds by reshaping itself into different forms, granting me versatility in combat. The Karambit's connection to the stars allows me to channel celestial energy into my strikes, infusing them with an otherworldly power. This grants me an advantage in battle, enhancing the strength and precision of my attacks."

Kynn said, "Star magic.."

In the stands, Endor thought, 'Star magic, an enchanting and profound practice that delves into the very essence of celestial energies and the manipulation of weaponry, energy, and mana. Its origins lie in the ancient lore of mysticism and the intricate interplay between the cosmic forces and the mortal realm. Star magic emerged from the realization that the celestial bodies that adorn our night sky possess an inherent power, a power that can be harnessed by those who possess the gift. These celestial bodies, the stars, are the physical manifestations of the cosmic energies that flow throughout the universe. Star mages, through their rigorous training and attunement, establish a profound connection with the stars. They delve into the depths of celestial lore, studying the patterns and alignments of the constellations, deciphering the intricate language of the heavens. By doing so, they gain a profound understanding of the unique properties and influences held by each star. Through their connection to the stars, star mages are able to tap into the elemental mana that resides within magical weapons. They channel this mana, infusing their weapons with extraordinary power and imbuing them with the ability to manipulate or even merge various elemental forces with the energy of the stars. This manipulation allows them to unleash devastating attacks, control the flow of battle, and even shape the energy of lingering mana. However, the path of a star mage is not one to be taken lightly. It requires unwavering dedication, countless hours of study and meditation, and a deep respect for the cosmic forces they seek to harness. Only those who possess a true affinity for the celestial energies and a profound connection to the celestial realm can truly master the art of star magic. In conclusion, star magic is an intricate and captivating practice that intertwines the celestial and the mortal realms. It grants its wielders the ability to manipulate weaponry and tap into the elemental mana within magical weapons and their own spirits. It is a practice steeped in ancient lore and requires a profound understanding of the cosmic forces at play. Truly, star magic is a testament to the limitless wonders and possibilities that lie within the realms of magic and the celestial realm. And in Drow's case…he's been practicing this for years. And yet, he's struggling this much. With his rank and status, he should pose a challenge. So why..'

Drow dashed towards Kynn, chanting, "Star Magic: Stellar Sword."

Drow's karambit changed into a sword, glowing with a bright orange and white glow, fully covered with a yellow mist.

Winds blasted from the sword as he jabbed the tip of it at Kynn's face at light speed.

Kynn raised his foot up, and stopped the attack with the bottom of his foot, with his foot pressed against the tip of the blade, smiling.

Drow thought, 'He stopped godly magic…a godly weapon…with his foot?!'

Kynn said, "Too slow."

He barely kicked the blade back, and Drow went flying backwards, hitting the arena wall hard.

The crowd went:

"He stopped that with his foot!"

"What strength!"

Drow fell off the wall, getting up slowly, and when he looked at Kynn, Kynn was smiling maliciously.

Renn exclaimed, "Father! Don't hold back against this brat!"

Saede said to Renn, "…Your father…is gonna get crushed…"

"He's never lost. He won't lose here."

Ley commented, "That Kynn boy is something unique, isn't he? Being the last of his kind and all.."

Drow stood up slowly, saying to Kynn, "I am still not convinced. You wield the power of forbidden Eternal Soul Magic, god-level magic, with the ability to manipulate life and death, the power to conjure someone's soul into damnation itself…all this power…and you want to be a teacher of mana? You want to teach students who struggle with mana to perfect and harmonize their mana, for what? You have a hidden agenda."

Kynn lost his smile, and looked around, hearing the gossip of the arena:

"Yeah, Captain Drow has a point."

"All that power just to be a teacher."

"But maybe he's really passionate about teaching."

From the stands, Aurora thought, 'Father's always been like this, ever since me and Renn were kids: overprotective. He told us that whatever concerns him, he'll treat it like it threatens me and Renn's lives; he takes everything serious.'

Drow started to dash all over the arena, trying to throw Kynn's focus off balance, saying, "We all know the tribes of the Soul realm were brutal murderers; they were born into forbidden dark magic, and they spent their time killing and learning more about Eternal Soul Magic. What foolish trash they were, such cowards."

Kynn stood there, saying, "Shut up.."

"Oh? Am I tempting you? You know what I say is true facts, are you afraid to accept it?"

"I said shut up.."

Up high watching, Kanan said, "What is this madness? What is Drow doing?!"

Endor replied, "It seems like he's trying to make the brat mad."

"He's trying to exploit his true nature. This won't do. Because if something catastrophic happens.."

Endor thought, 'DAMMIT! KYNN, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT GET MAD! IT'S TOO EARLY IN THE STORY!'

Caden and June said together, "Things are heating up! Awesome!"

Volgryr in the stands said, "What is thy captain doing?!"

Renn replied, "Hmph."

He thinks, 'If Kynn goes crazy in front of everyone, then that will expose him. Why would the hero king Kanan allow a brat with a short temper to teach students? Good thinking, father. This is why I look up to you.'

Aurora said, "We have to stop this.."

Ley smiled nervously, "Oh boy, the atmospheres getting dark."

Volgryr held onto Ley, "Do not worry, teacher Ley! I shall protect you from thy wicked ordinances of evil!"

"Haha, thanks."

Saede sighed, "Ew. Gross…"

Drow chanted, "Star Magic: Spear of Celestial Beings.."

Drow's sword then turned into a spear, and from the sky, a fast and razor sharp beam from the sky pierced down and hit the top of Drow's head, making his body glow orange and yellow, and the spear began to flow that color. A large star shaped orange and crest spun above Drow's head and formed in front of him, and Drow stabbed the crest, and the same beam blasted out, and it hit Kynn.

Drow said, "Release your true intentions, young Kynn. Know your place, and know where you really come from. Only the foolish can be fooled, but the wise discerns all things through perseverance-."

Kynn was walking through the beam, unaffected, and he said, "I said shut up…you asked why I wanted to be a teacher?"

"How are you-?! You should be burned to a crisp!"

"..The people from my realm were killed, even babies and children. Most of them looked up to me to teach them things about fighting. Before I had the chance to do so, here comes that stupid Malachi, taking their lives before my eyes before I could show them how to even use an enchantment. So you asked why I wanted to be a teacher? To prevent shit like that from happening again."

Everyone heard him, gossiping more:

"Such a noble cause!"

"He's brave, indeed."

"What honesty, it must be tough!"

Drow was above Kynn, spinning the spear above his head, and slammed it down. But Kynn caught the blade, looked up at Drow, and said, "Don't mention them..ever again."

Hero King Kanan exclaimed, "Captain Drow! That's enough-."

Drow grinned, "Ah, you're leaning closer into your latent malice, Kynn. Embrace the darkness that was born into you. Just like your family, the darkness chose them second as they chose it first."

Kynn whispered, "Eternal Soul Magic: Hell's Paradise."

They both disappeared, and everyone was confused.

"What happened to them?!"

"Where'd they go!"

Renn yelled, "Father!"

Aurora said, "Welp, they're dead. Anyone want to go get food or.."

Renn yelled at Aurora, "…Tch! How dare you not show the slightest bit of care?!"

"He asked for it. Kynn told him to stop. Hey I'm not defending the dude or anything, but father was begging for it."

"Hmph..you side with the enemy!"

"I can tell, Kynn's not the enemy. Hush up with all that. Father is acting paranoid again."

"Then you are blind."

Saede replied, "How is she blind…when she's looking right at you…?"

"Silence, venom wielder!"

Hero King Kanan was about use his magic to locate Kynn and Drow, but a sharp pain was arousing in his chest. He held his chest, saying, "If I try and use my magic, the disease will spread even more…Endor..I'll need your assistance."

Endor responded, "You need me to sniff them out?"

"Since you are a mythic breed of spirits like all mythic beasts from the spirit realm, you can enter spirit-sourced pocket dimensions made from magic easy. Please find them. Drow went too far, I don't want this driving Kynn away from this, he's certainly well in tune with the depths of lore of mana, for the people of Soul Realm were blessed with mana. We are desperately in need of a teacher who can teach those seven students. Those students have potential, but they're mana levels are low and they can't control it correctly, causing those students to only be able to fight for a total of 5 minutes, they'll run out of mana if they fight past that."

"Drow believes Kynn to be the yellow armor man from the Shadow War…"

"I had my thoughts as well on that."

"Really..?"

"But then I remembered that the man in the yellow armor..his goals were to just take Malachi's heart and be on his way; he didn't care about the one who led him to battle us. This one here, he seems to have the same nature and personality, but has similar motives that I have. I created the Arcane Academy to prepare the younger generation for a second Shadow War If it ever happened. He stated that he wanted to keep families from being slaughtered before their eyes from happening again."

Endor thought, 'KYNN IS CLEARLY LYING! HE'S A CRIMINAL! AN EVIL BRAT!'

Kanan asked Endor, "Please, find them. I have faith in that kid."

"You truly believe that, don't you?"

"I do."

"…I'll find them."

Endor vanished as well.

(Kynn's Hell dimension)

Drow opened his eyes, and he was in a river of blood, and the sky around him was pitch black.

Drow said, "Where am I?"

Kynn was floating above Drow a few feet away, and Kynn replied, "Hell. Well, a part of it."

"So it's true…you're the yellow armor.."

"Anyone who's not a familiar or mythic beast that comes in here won't remember anything at all that happens here. Even if some stupid mage tries to read through your memories, they won't find anything. That means, your ass is mine. No weird shit. You know what I mean."

Drow thought, 'This river of blood, it's..draining my mana!'

Kynn laughed, "Haha! Your thoughts are loud too! Listen, I told you to shut up about my realm, and you kept going. I was getting mad, and if I would've released my pissed-offness around everyone, I would've killed everyone by accident. To prevent that, I'm gonna kill you over and over and over again here."

"Tch! I won't let you! My family needs me!"

"Sure, sure. They don't. A man like you? Yeah yeah I get it, you're a family man, an overprotective DAD. My dad was a jerk, so I know what it's like. You wanted to get me pissed off to try and expose me to the hero king. Are you a dumbass? You could've got everyone killed! Even your weirdo edgy son Renn and perfect beautiful daughter Aurora. If I can't contain my own magic due to rage, it could destroy all the realms in this world."

"I…I…"

"I…I…shut up. You still want to fight?"

Drow took a deep breath, and answered, "This place, no matter how much I go all out..none of my magic will reach the outside?"

"Yep. Go nuts."

"You are clearly a menace to this kingdom, a forbidden being. I'll unleash all of my star magic to take you down and this dimension. This kingdom, my family, are my top priority. They mean everything to me. You must've come back for revenge, I will be the one to put you down. My children will then respect me as their father after I bring your body back to them."

"Mhm Mhm, yeah. Try it."

Drow looked down, and saw his body was slowly rotting, thinking, 'Rot..?'

Kynn started walking towards Drow, walking on air as a giant dark red compass formed above him, he said, "Lemme tell you something real quick, somethjng Malachi told me. In a vast forest, there are towering trees, their branches reaching towards the sky, their roots digging deep into the earth. These trees represent the strong, the powerful, and the skilled. "But amidst these mighty trees, there are also weeds, feeble and fragile, struggling to survive. These weeds symbolize the weaklings, those who lack strength and skill. They wither and wilt under the weight of the world, easily crushed by the slightest breeze." Kynn's voice took on a tone of authority as he explained the connection. "Just as rot consumes the weak and feeble weeds, so too does my power consume those who dare to challenge me. Their bodies crumble and decay, just like those stupid feeble weeds," He gestured dramatically, his hands mimicking the decay of the weeds. "And as the rot spreads through their bodies, their strength diminishes, their essence fading away until they are nothing more than a memory, a cautionary tale for all who dare to cross my path. The weaklings will always succumb to the rot, while the strong, like me, will stand tall and triumphant. I'm just cool like that. And everyone from the Soul realm that you insulted were badass too."

Drow's eyes narrowed as he listened to Kynn's metaphorical tale, replying, "Imagine, if you will, a kingdom called Eldoria, a realm of light and beauty. Its people, noble and kind, like the towering trees in your metaphor." He paused, letting the image settle before continuing. "But lurking in the shadows, there are evil dwellers, creatures of darkness and malevolence. They release a toxic mist, a vile toxin that seeps into the very heart of Eldoria. This toxin represents the corrupting influence of their wickedness, slowly poisoning the kingdom from within." Drow's voice grew more intense as he explained the connection. "Just as the rot consumes the weak, this toxin consumes the purity and goodness of Eldoria. It taints the minds and hearts of its people, turning them into pawns of darkness, their once noble souls twisted and corrupted." He gestured emphatically, his hands mimicking the spreading toxicity. "And as this toxin spreads, the kingdom suffers. The light dims, the harmony shattered, and the once vibrant Eldoria descends into chaos and despair."

"You and that Abomination treat me as a villain. I just want them to bring everyone back, then y'all can do whatever with me. I won't kill any of you, until you bastards provoke me."

They both stared at each other for a few seconds, the gaze was intense.

Drow dashed forward with his blade, giving a large battle cry, "Die, demon villain!"

Kynn lunges at Drow, his fingers slashing through the air, leaving behind deep gashes. With a swift motion, Kynn impales Drow's chest, his fingers piercing through the flesh.

Kynn's fingers become deadly claws, tearing through Drow's defenses with ruthless precision. In a gruesome display, Kynn rips off Drow's limb with his razor-sharp fingers. Kynn's fingers find their mark, puncturing Drow's eyes, leaving him blinded and defenseless. With a sadistic grin, Kynn carves intricate patterns of pain across Drow's body. Kynn's fingers become a whirlwind of destruction, shredding through Drow's armor. Drow's screams fill the air as Kynn's fingers dig into his abdomen, causing unimaginable agony. Kynn's fingers slice through Drow's throat, silencing his cries for mercy. In a brutal display of strength, Kynn crushes Drow's skull with a single squeeze of his fingers.

Kynn was killing Drow over and over and over again, using the Soul Bind spell to keep putting Drow's soul back to his body to revive him.

Kynn said, "Apologize, old man. Make it heartfelt."

"No! Die!"

Kynn's fists become instruments of terror as he relentlessly unleashes a flurry of devastating blows upon Drow.

Kynn's fist crashes into Drow's face, breaking his nose and sending blood spurting. With a powerful uppercut, Kynn's fist smashes into Drow's jaw, dislocating it. Kynn's fist strikes with lightning speed, shattering Drow's ribs with a sickening crack.

A brutal punch from Kynn's fist lands squarely on Drow's stomach, causing him to double over in pain. Kynn's fist slams into Drow's temple, leaving him dazed and disoriented. With a bone-crushing punch, Kynn's fist fractures Drow's arm, rendering it useless. Kynn's fist delivers a devastating blow to Drow's throat, leaving him gasping for air. A series of powerful punches from Kynn's fists rain down on Drow's torso, causing internal injuries. Kynn's fist connects with Drow's jaw, dislodging several teeth in a spray of blood.

With a forceful punch, Kynn's fist breaks through Drow's defenses, striking his heart. Kynn's fist smashes into Drow's knee, causing it to buckle and collapse beneath him. A swift punch from Kynn's fist lands on Drow's temple, knocking him unconscious. Kynn's fist strikes Drow's spine, sending waves of excruciating pain through his body. With a powerful hook, Kynn's fist fractures Drow's cheekbone, distorting his face. Kynn's fist delivers a devastating blow to Drow's gut, causing him to double over in agony.

A precise punch from Kynn's fist strikes Drow's eye, leaving him blinded on one side. Kynn's fist slams into Drow's sternum, causing it to crack under the immense force. With a thunderous punch, Kynn's fist breaks Drow's jaw, leaving it hanging loosely. Kynn's fist strikes with precision, dislocating Drow's shoulder with a sickening pop.

"Eternal Soul Magic: Soul Bind."

Drow was flopping through the blood river, sitting up, saying, "I won't apologize! Star magic: "Axe of Eternal Fury!"

Drow's sword transformed in a bright axe, As the Axe of Astral Fury crackled with celestial energy, Drow swung it towards Kynn with all his might. But Kynn, with his extraordinary reflexes, effortlessly blocked and dodged each strike using the palm of his hands, his movements fluid and precise.

Kynn said, "Too slow."

"Damn you!"

Drow swung the Axe of Astral Fury in a wide arc, unleashing a whirlwind of celestial energy. But Kynn swiftly raised his palms, creating an invisible barrier that deflected the powerful strike, sending the celestial energy scattering harmlessly into the air.

Drow thought, 'He's effortlessly deflecting star magic..!' Drow thought, his mind racing with strategic possibilities. 'How could Kynn, a mere mortal, possess the ability to neutralize the godly power of star magic?'

Drow's assumptions about the limits of mortal capabilities were shattered as he watched Kynn gracefully block and dodge the celestial energy with his palms. It was as if Kynn possessed an innate understanding of the celestial forces, a connection that surpassed any mortal comprehension.

The celestial magic, said to be the pinnacle of godly power, was effortlessly rendered useless in Kynn's presence. It was a display of mastery that defied logic and convention. Drow knew he had stumbled upon something extraordinary, a hidden potential that could turn the tide of battles and rewrite the rules of engagement.

As Drow continued to observe, he noticed the intricate movements of Kynn's fingers, their sharpness and precision. It was as if Kynn's very touch could sever the threads of celestial energy, redirecting them away from harm. The sight sent shivers down Drow's spine, for he knew that his own arsenal of weapons and spells paled in comparison to Kynn's innate abilities.

'I won't give up yet! Take him down! For the wife and children. Killing this brat..would ensure their safety!'

With a thunderous swing, Drow brought the Axe of Astral Fury crashing down towards Kynn. However, Kynn anticipated the attack, swiftly sidestepping and catching the descending axe with his palms. The celestial energy surged through his hands, but Kynn absorbed and dissipated it effortlessly.

Drow's strikes with the Axe of Astral Fury became more frenzied, as he desperately tried to breach Kynn's defenses. But Kynn remained calm and composed, his palms moving with uncanny precision. With each strike, Kynn effortlessly redirected the celestial energy away from him, leaving Drow frustrated and bewildered.

Drow attempted a swift overhead strike, aiming to catch Kynn off guard. However, Kynn's palms moved with lightning speed, intercepting the descending axe and nullifying its celestial energy in an instant. Drow's attack was rendered useless, leaving him vulnerable to Kynn's counterattack. In a last-ditch effort, Drow unleashed a flurry of rapid strikes with the Axe of Astral Fury, hoping to overwhelm Kynn. But Kynn's palms moved in a mesmerizing dance, effortlessly blocking and dodging each strike with impeccable timing. The celestial energy dissipated harmlessly as Kynn remained unscathed.

"Then I'm not stopping. Eternal Soul Magic: Soul Chains."

Kynn's soul chains wrap tightly around Drow's limbs, constricting with an otherworldly force, snapping bones. The soul chains pierce through Drow's flesh, draining his life force as Kynn revels in his agony. With a swift motion, Kynn's soul chains tear through Drow's flesh, leaving deep, bloody gashes.

The soul chains coil around Drow's neck, tightening mercilessly, cutting off his air supply. Kynn's soul chains impale Drow's body, pinning him to the ground as blood pools around him. The soul chains lash out, slashing through Drow's skin, leaving a trail of mutilation in their wake. Kynn's soul chains entangle Drow's limbs, twisting and contorting them in unnatural angles.

The soul chains pierce through Drow's eyes, leaving him blinded and writhing in excruciating pain. With a sadistic grin, Kynn's soul chains tear Drow's heart from his chest, ending his life. The soul chains constrict around Drow's body, crushing his bones and reducing him to a lifeless heap.

"..Soul Bind."

Drow was revived again, his heart pounding with fear.

"Stop…"

"Apologize."

"…I'd rather be fed to the bastard wolves!"

"Eternal Soul Magic: Ephemeral Annihilation."

*Ephemeral Annihilation: Invoke the ephemeral souls of the departed ancestors of the enemy to obliterate enemies, reducing them to nothingness.*

Kynn's eyes glowed with malevolence as he directed the spectral souls towards Drow. The souls swirled around Drow, their ethereal forms intertwining with his own, causing him to writhe in agony. With a horrifying scream, Drow's body disintegrated, reduced to nothingness, leaving behind only a lingering echo of his former existence.

"Soul Bind!"

Kynn's fingers extended into razor-sharp claws as he unleashed the power of Ephemeral Annihilation. The ephemeral souls surged forward, tearing through Drow's flesh like a swarm of vengeful spirits. Blood sprayed in all directions as Drow's body was ripped apart, piece by agonizing piece, until there was nothing left but a gruesome and macabre scene of carnage.

"Soul Bind!"

Kynn's incantation of Ephemeral Annihilation echoed through the sea of blood, as the souls of the departed ancestors of Drow aroused from thin air and converged upon Drow. The souls merged with his own, causing his body to contort and twist in horrifying ways. With each passing second, Drow's form became more distorted and grotesque, until he collapsed in a heap of mangled limbs and shattered bones, his very essence consumed by the overwhelming power of Ephemeral Annihilation.

"Soul Bind!"

After killing Drow a total of 1 million times, Kynn stood over him after raising him back from the dead once more, saying, "Ya done yet?"

Drow responded, "Let me..remember this.."

"Why?"

"…A dangerous demon like you, needs to be dealt with by the hero king Kanan. He'll stop you with everything left in him."

"Yeah no. Apologize. Or we're gonna keep going. I got so many more spells I can try on you."

Suddenly, Endor appeared out of nowhere, saying, "I made it! You didn't kill him, did you, Kynn?!"

Kynn turned around and looked at Endor, scratching the back of his neck, "Oh like a million times. This bastard is willing to risk his own life and the life of others to take me down just to protect what's close to him. To me, that sounds insane."

"YOU KILLED HIM A MILLION TIMES?!"

"Safe to say I won this fight by the way. I'm just waiting…for my apology."
