A Pawn Along

Both Joan's aunties and Adebayo's mom were all furious as they had expected Joan's father to have left them more properties than he did. Adebayo's mom was even more furious because he didn't leave anything for her.

"This has to be the biggest joke of the century," Joan's elder aunt said in anger.

"No, hold on let me tell you the biggest joke of the century," Joan's mother said as she got up from her seat. 

"Mom please," Joan pleaded with her mother to ignore them, but she refused.

"The biggest joke of the century is you coming in here with so much boldness thinking my husband would have left something for you in his will. Have you no shame at all? After all, you did to him while he was alive, you still have the nerve to show up here to have a share of his properties? You must be completely delusional, more delusional than I thought! You should even be thankful that he even left anything at all to the two of you. Rubbish!"
