The Ghost spent the rest of his day in his manor thinking over his next move. Beastmen servants and Bash were all on standby.
You're thinking about fighting him...Aren't you?
No shit Temper.
If you do, I need to know that you'll fight with the right convictions.
I want a city where all races can live in harmony.
The Beastmen and Demon servants stopped hearing this.
Master Ghost, do you mean...
Yes, all of your. I see you as my equals, and I want everyone to treat you as equals.
Why is that?
I don't want to see a tomorrow where people are put down simply based on how others look. I care not of what I must sacrifice to make this happen. I will get our city back.
As the sun was setting, the Ghost pushed past the city guards and made his way over to Overlord Pat.
Ah Ghost! I take it you've come to make the right decision?
Yes, I hereby challenge you to a duel. I win, New Ottawa is mine, I lose, you may count the Southern District in your efforts of world domination, and if necessary, you may claim my head as a trophy.
I accept. We fight in the arena of Ashfeld. Prince Zane was kind enough to allow us to use it. You have an hour to prepare.
As the Ghost makes his way back to the Southern District, it was as if civil war had just been declared within this city, tearing everything they'd worked so hard to build into pieces.
Juno, I want the LLPR mounted to my arm, combat armor will suffice. I want the world to bear witness to my strength, with out the armor.
Her eyes went wide in fear as her team readied for the first unpowered test of the LLPR. The Ghost closed his eyes and remember the rage energy transfer method Temper had taught him. Rather than an orange beam of energy, this was a deep crimson red blast of energy the melted through the lab walls and into the dirt.
Holy shit...
Dragon, see to it my family here remains safe.
You can count on me.
We're coming to watch the match.
I'd hope so, have Constitution on guard, make sure nobody enters this area who isn't loyal to me.
As the time drew near, the Ghost dawned the LODA or the Light Ottawa Defensive Armor and coveralls. His sledgehammer was slung on his back and the LLPR was attached to his skin as he entered the arena. As the Ghost and Overlord took their positions, It was as if two worlds were colliding, getting ready to clash and one would crumble.
As trumpets blew, King Zane appeared with his court to watch the battle. Everyone was eager to watch these two go toe to toe with the new strength they possessed.
As the final trumpet sounded, the Ghost gripped his sledgehammer ready to fight. As the iron gate was lifted, the Ghost entered the arena to see the Overlord decked out in his own Powered Armor suit, The New Ottawa Overlord Defender, or NOOD for short.
Let this match begin at the call of the King!
3....2....1....FIGHT!
