Chapter 8: Homeless

The car drove away and while Victoria tried to stay unaffected by her boss's presence less than a meter away from her, she couldn't help but sneak a glance at him. She hadn't heard about Alex before she only worked in his company . She had searched for him online but nothing about him was there,Ronland also searched but to no avail . Is he so powerful that there is no information about him ? "I need to be careful" . She said inwardly.

Victoria thought that he looked young. Alex hair was moved to the back smoothly with two strings falling on his forehead. Her gaze trailed down to his jaw and she didn't know why she suddenly swallowed. She was not aware of how she wa so attracted to his manliness uet beautiful looks . Have jawlines always been that sexy to her ?

Realizing that she had been staring for too long, Victoria adjusted her eyes away from his face and scanned the interior of the car instead. Alex actually noticed her stare but pretended that he wasn't aware of it, a small smile cast in his lips though he tried to hide it.

" Intresting choice," Victoria muttered as she scanned the interior of his Rolls Royce Boat tail.

" Hmmmm?" Alex closed his closed tablet and turned to face the person in question.

" your car …..! I find it intresting that you chose this , sir". She continued to look around the car.

Crossing his legs , he found a comfortable position he asked her " Are you knowledgeable about cars ?"

"Not that much but I used to work in a Lou art car dealership when I was younger so I know a thing or two. Curious , she looked at him and asked , " why did you choose this particular car?"

Alex found it engrossing that this woman talked about other things apart from anything related tj his identity, his wealth , or his interests in women . It was one of the reason he asked his other secretary to resign.

Since he was in a good mood, Alex willingly conversed with her, " I like how it is comfortable, you know its fridge , rotating cocktail tables , matching tool set and it is sexy and classy , that's why ?

" Hmmmm..... it fits you ," she whispered softly but he still heard her.

Victoria big her lips , her stomach's grumbled wildly and she felt thirst and hunger. " Driver go and get Miss Nightshade something to eat" Alex said . " No need to worry sir", Victoria tried to stop him . " hurry up driver ",he said giving no room for her to talk.

They were done for the day and she went home. The moment she got home Victoria put off her heels and started walking towards her apartment. Her legs and feet were tired from wearing heels all day .

She headed to her apartment and then she saw her mold outside all of them with grim expression. And then she saw fire in the building and they were putting it off. She went to ask her neighbor Miss Kate what happened. " Miss Kate what happened whose building caught fire". " All of us at the backside " Miss Kate answered tearfully . " What !!!!!? That is where I live".

Damn it she has not gotten her pay so she was still broke what will she do, where would she go she had no money . Even her credit card wallet were inside. She was officially homeless. She moved towards her burnt apartment and she saw a paper that said " How do you like my gift". She remembers that three months ago when she took down a family of vampires a mysterious man had come and told her that he would destroy everything he owned and before she could catch him he had escaped. " is this him, is this his revenge ". "Hmmmm....." she scoffed . " so petty", so this is all he could do ". She said as she took her phone to call Belle and Vivian desperately and they agrees to meet at a bar.

Victoria got to the bar and only saw Belle there. " where is Vivian?" She asked . "Ohh! , she can't come her dad did not let her come here". Belle answered. "Ohh!!! Okay".

" sooo... what happened?" Belle asked. " My home has been burnt can I stay at your place for the night , I would have asked Viv but I know her duty with her father". Victoria said . "Victoria I have no problem with you staying with me but me too I am Syrians you know , my money is barely enough for my family , my mom will not say no because ig is you but things will be difficult. But do you have where to stay". "Ohhh… yes I do". She knows Belle was struggling a lot after her dad died , her mom was the one taking care of her dad family members na use her grandmother is sick and her grandmother is 107yrs and is too old t with. And it was her mom taking care of them so she told her yes because she knew Belle was struggling. "Belle go home my ride will soon be here I will stay at a hotel and find my way late ." " bye" Belle said cause she needs to go her younger brother is so sick and her mom needed her help .

After Belle left she knew she didn't have enough money to stay at an hotel.

She saw someone approach her " Good evening " she her heard the man sag my name is Walter ". " Hi walter nice to meet you "
