The reincarnate finally arrives at the gate, the destination of these past years and however long has passed before that. The walls are made out of a burnt-looking stone, pure black stone with plenty of cracks. Still, it seems sturdy as terrifyingly intricate gargoyle statues are placed on top. The ditch that surrounds the outside of the walls and runs beneath the entrance bridge is filled with lava. the lava suprisngly enough having a habitat of its own. The non-composing bodies pray to the lava's inhabitants or doomed to dwell for eternity. Whilst some "bodies" are alive or rather not quite death yet. The reincarnate now stands on the bridge before the gate, made out of the same burned-like rock. His feet heat up, as darkness clouds his humanoid form, forming as if he's wearing any clothing.
Just as he walks over the bridge, a fight breaks out between two demonic-looking beings. One larger and a clear heavier build, resembling an orc. Unlike the normal associated green skin, the skin resembles that of the burnt stone that surrounds them. Unlike the walls, however, the cracks are filled with lava, resembling the veins of a normal man. The other looks older at first sight resembling an old man. Until one notices the eyeless sockets, actively rotting skin, the different nests of parasites living in his innards as they come out using those eyeless sockets, and the general feeling of dread that the reincarnate has been trained to spot.
The large volcanic orc takes out a great war hammer, crudely made and clearly not properly maintained as the weapon is stained and rusted at some places. Using his pure physical strength, he swings the hammer hitting the older parasitic man right in his rib case. The sound of old weak shattering is clearly heard as the old man falls backward. Much to the delight of the excited orc. The old man stands up, a mixture of flies and insects flying around his body as the old man smiles creepily. A smile of pure amusement, to see one struggle desperately and to receive pleasure from it. The old man did not hide it and neither did the thousands that swarmed out of his body. Going over to the orc and starting to eat his flesh.
The large demonic beast takes out his great war hammer and strikes the one resembling an old man. As soon as he hits, I could see and hear the bones in his rib case shattering. Yet, the old man only gives a creepy smile as thousands of satanic-looking bugs fly out of his mouth and quickly start devouring the larger demon. The orc yells again, trying his best to swat every fly he comes across. Putting an even larger, unnatural smile on the old man. The old man composes himself as he enters the city, letting his insects feast on their own pace.
Seeing their small distraction the surrounding demons, devils, and sort continue in and out of the city. One of them being the reincarnate. He tries to walk past, but feels a weak disgusting hand hold his ankle. Unsure how to react he simply says "let go." The green glittering emerald eyes looking at the insect ridden orc. Its death was slow and inevitable, something worth of pity. But pity does not exist in a place like this.
"Please kill me." He says in his low yet defeated tone. Unlike what Cornelius thought, the orc looked weak. Perhaps just wishing for an assured short end.
"Why should I? You lost, after all. It's not my place to interfere with the result of your duel." The reincarnate responds still not forcing himself free, curious how the orc would respond to something Cornelius thought him. It's said that altering a duel's outcome is completely possible, but stronger demons tend to have a lot of pride. Altering their decision might cause that pride to be hurt, making you the latest target. That's why it's generally not recommended.
The weak had no place in this city. So why care at all?
It's believed that these rules of strength came to be after Luciel lost to Asariel. She realized if the demons allowed any weakness, they would be horrendously destroyed in the war to follow. A lot of her rules were made out of resentment towards Asariel. Even her symbol, A bloodlike crimson red eye that resembles the color of the light above Lucille's light also seem to mock Asariel's blindness.
The orc-like being starts laughing at the reincarnate words, surprisingly more in a sense of mockery than insanity.
The currently being dug-in eyes are once again filled with life. "Scared to kill boy? Scared to strike a dying man? Do you fear the insects as well? That you share this inevitable fate? Coward!" The orc like being yells, the others that were passing by halting. Some coming closer as they can feel another fight brewing. Their eyes actively scan what words hold any truth. Even the orc, that was being devoured somehow manages to stand. The insects digging deeper and deeper, a testament to this creature's strength. "Pathetic little bi..." He says as he forms a fist and pulls backward, preparing to swing.
The reincarnate uses his own magic, creating a spear entirely made out of dark magic. Before the orc could even attempt to hit, the spear already embedded itself in his neck. "Don't even think about bringing those filthy things on me." The humanoid demon with emerald green eyes replies as blood starts to flow out of the mouth and neck of the orc. Some insects seem to prefer the liquid as they actively try to swallow the red liquid.
The lava stone orc looks at his murderer with relief in his eyes. The eyes finally soften as they lose their twinkle of life. The reincarnate holds the spear with the attached corpse farther, the orc's feet dangling in the heated air.
"I'm quite ecological." the humanoid-looking reincarnate says as he throws "the waste" into the lava. Dispelling the spear, the body of the orc does not disappear. instead it floats, before being pulled downward by something.
