I CAN SEE THE FUTURE

Author had paid heed to Mara's advice. Even dough he never understood what was going on but he had never seen Mara in this state before so he decided to comply and find out later, what was going on.

Everyone in the party was silent as they were trying to understand what was going on as they watched as Author taking Mara's hand and they walked out. Tara was disappointed that her best friend had to leave the party early. But she understood that something was wrong and she was definitely going to ask later on in school.

When Author and Mara left the party, everyone began chatting amongst themselves.

" Did you see that? I must say just in a short amount of time, three strange events have taken place or have I completely gone crazy?

First it was the prince and his eyes. They were glowing.

And secondly, it is that Author of a guy, he left from that end of the hall to the other end just in mere seconds, wich is not what one can see everyday.

And thirdly it was Mara the beauty queen, even with her beauty I must speak the truth. She was behaving like she was possessed or maybe she's a witch."

" Hey watch your tongue, you are talking about my future bride"

" Who would like to marry a fat pig like you?"

" I might be a pig but have you seen your nose?"

" Hey you two cut it out we are friends not enemies remember? We will not let a girl separate us. I mean, I had always taking the negativity away because if two friends are arguing, there should be a third person to take the blame for peace to reighn, so I Arandy have decided to take Mara away from your eyes. Don't worry I will look after her very well."

" I guess you have a point. I will miss you Mara. Waaaaaaah waaah."

" Gary stop crying. You are shouting shouting like a fool. Arandy here is trying to play with our minds. I John Rizzo will grow strong one day that Mara will finally look my way. I will apply to attain the shadow power that was announced by the king. I heard that it makes you powerful beyond your imagination."

" Me too. Waaaaaaah waaah."

" I said stop crying damnit. You're disgracing me."

" Hey you two be careful. I have a bad feeling about this new sort of power. Nothing good comes easy, so I advice you to wait for sometime to see it's effect on others, before taking a step."

" That's true."

" Arandy you can wait all you want but I John Rizzo will go for it. Moreover, The king said it is hundred percent safe and that it is just for the strength increase of this kingdom, to make it more powerful."

" Suit yourself."

The carriage was silent as only the galloping of the horses pulling the carriage could be heard. Mara was lying on Author's lap while Author was looking down at her, but she seemed to be lost in thoughts as she was looking away at a particular spot all that while.

" I know you must be wondering why I asked us to leave." Said Mara as she finally break the silence.

" Yes, and I am dying to know why. Did that Prince do something to offend you?" Asked Author.

" No nothing of that sort. It is something strange. something I have never felt before.

When I passed out, I think I had a dream or a vision, is it? I saw that you were in a terrible danger and the consequences placed you in a near death state. And it it felt so real, I was present there like it was reality."

At this point Author was confused about what Mara was saying. He never understood what sort of danger it is that Mara was talking about.

" Danger? can you explain to me what you saw?" asked Author.

Mara explained the details of what she saw in her vision and when she was finished, there was a look of horror on the face of Author.

" If by some means you are truly able to see the future, then there is a possibility that we can still meet them on the way." He said.

"The future is not always fixed, it can be changed by the deeds of the present." Mara explained.

" So, this means I must prepare before hand." Author said this being more determined than ever before.

' Who would have thought that those guards were part of a very troublesome group? If I have to face them so be it.'

The carriage had been going forward for a while, but suddenly it came to a halt.

Mara stood up and said " They are here."
