THE LU MANSION
"Mom Dad, Good morning," Kamlyn said hastily running down the stairs. "Darling don't run be careful," Elena said with a worried look directed at kamlyn. "I'm sorry mom and dad I will be more careful." She said apologetically. "Anyway, why did you wake up so early today it is barely 8 am," Elena asked kamlyn. "Mom you guys are leaving this evening I want to spend more time with you guys," Kamlyn said to Elena with a cute pout on her lips. "okay darling, mom is gonna take you shopping okay. You are going to spend your day with mom today." Mr yang said directing a smile at her. "What about you dad, I want to spend the day with both of you." Kamlyn stated acting like the spoilt princess she is. "Mmmh about that princess, Daddy has a lot of work, since he will be going soon he needs to round up everything quickly." Mr yang explained to Kamlyn. "So you won't stay with me today?" She asked almost on the brink of tears. "No baby, Dad is just busy okay. I promise when we are back, Daddy and Mom are gonna stay with you for a week okay?." Mr yang promised her with an over caring voice showing his love for his daughter. "okay I understand dad." kamlyn replied with a sullen voice. Elena who has been watching the father and daughter, finally spoke up. "come on darling, for the mean time you will be staying at the Lu mansion okay. won't you like to stay with your favorite God mother Lina." Elena asked kamlyn with a smile. "Your aunt will be very happy you know." She continued. "Yes mom I will love to." Kamlyn said putting on a little smile. "Good girl, eat up okay. It's you and I today, we will go shopping to shop for your favourite things and spend alot of time together. Daddy is gonna miss alot, we will make him regret not coming along okay." Elena said with an excited tone trying to cheer kamlyn up. "yeah Mom you are right." Kamlyn replied with a hearty laugh forgetting her sadness. "You guys are plotting against me right?." Mr yang said feigning a sulking expression making Elena and kamlyn laugh. "Daddy deserves it " Kamlyn replied happily. "Yeah he does sweetheart." Elena seconded with a smile.
"What time will you be dropping her off at the Lu mansion?" Mr yang asked Elena. "4 pm since the flight is by 6. So we will be ready before time." Elena replied. "If my meeting is done by then, I will come with you guys to the Lu's mansion. Have you got her things ready?"
Mr Lu inquired. "Yes, I have informed her nanny about it so her things will be ready on time, I have also spoken to Elina about it so arrangements are no problem. Elena explained.
Watching her parents discuss about their departure, kamlyn some how felt sad. But she cheered herself up with the excitement of the time she will get to spend with them once the are back. Not only that, it has been a long time since she spent time with the Lu's. Another wave of excitement came rushing in. admitting that she will really miss her parents, but she couldn't deny the fact that she really missed her God parents too, it has been a while since she last spent up to a day with them and now she is going to spend at least half a month with them, truly she was excited.
The Lu parents have two son's which she have never seen before upon spending so much time with them. Not putting that to importance, because she believes they will not be around just like every other time she comes around. "Kamy dear you are not still sad right?" Elena carefully asked kamlyn. "No mom I am okay." She replied with a wide smile, confusing her parents for a minute there. "That's my princess." Mr yang said with a cheer.
With that the happy family of three continued their breakfast. As if knowing it was their last, like they knew things will never be the same again.
After breakfasts. Mr yang was already ready to head to the office. He slowly entered the car, waving at his wife and daughter who were in turn waving back till the car drove out of the residence.
Letting out a sigh. "I will miss dad." kamlyn voiced out suddenly. "Don't worry dear, Dad says he is going to be back to drop you off right?." Elena soothingly said. "Yes mom." kamlyn simply replied. "So don't worry okay, and stop pulling that sullen face of yours, it doesn't sooth you." Mrs yang said with a joke. "Mom… you, I don't believe you. Dad said I look cute and pretty which ever face I make." Kamlyn stated with a cute pout. "Huh and you believed that." Elena said with a mocking gesture, infuriating kamlyn more. "Mom… I am done here. " She said while turning around to head back inside while feigning an annoyed expression, leaving Mrs yang laughing outside, at her daughter's tantrum. " Get ready by noon okay. we will be going out." Mrs yang shouted from outside still laughing continuously.
Kamlyn quickly went into her room while hiding a smile, her nanny was already there packing up her things she decided to go on and assist. "Oh thank you dear that's so kind of you." Her nanny thanked her. "No need aunty, I have told you numerous times already don't always thank me okay, or else I will stop assisting you. Besides this is my room, how can I do my own things and get appreciated, it is not appropriate aunty." kamlyn said with a toothy smile. Her nanny, Mrs Lin just stared, smiling fondly at her. Indeed she is going to miss this little soul. Mrs Lin was just a middle aged woman. She usually treats her like her own child. Not just because that is her job, Kamlyn's is a very vibrant child, and not as spoilt as society thought she is, she is a down to earth person unlike all those rich heirs and heiress's. That is the reason she is loved by many who knew her. Kamlyn is not just the princess of her parents, but the princess of the whole household. "I will really miss you dear." Mr lin said with a sad smile. "Aya Aunt I will miss you too." kamlyn said dramatically inviting a playful slap from Mrs Lin. "I am serious here dear." Mrs Lin said feigning annoyance. "Don't worry aunt it is just half a month, besides Mommy said you will be coming over too. Errmm I remember someone was always complaining about me and needed space from me because I disturb a lot huh." Kamlyn teased Mrs Lin while clearing her throat playfully. "You… I was just…just. That is a completely different thing." Mrs Lin stuttered her explaination. "Really aunt?." Kamlyn replied inquisitively with a raise of her brow. "You…you brat I will hit you with this if you don't quit teasing me." Mrs Lin said while raising her broom to Kamlyn. "Aunt you are bullying me calm down okay." Kamlyn said acting scared. "You are something else child. Come on let us get this done with immediately so you could get ready for shopping with your mom." Mrs Lin said with a laugh.
At noon, 12 am sharp. Mrs Lu was patiently waiting outside, in the gazebo of the yang residence, beautifully adorned with expensive jewelries and a nice outfit. She was having a conversation on her phone when kamlyn came outside prepared and ready to go. Turning around to sight kamlyn already done. She resumed her call. "Yeah she is here already we will head out now, Yeah I got it. okay darling bye. Mrs yang ended the call. "You are ready right, that was your dad he said he will be free by 4 so he will surely be there to drop you off at the Lu mansion okay." Mrs yang passed on the message. "Okay Mom great." Kamlyn cheered with a wide smile. "Let's go." They both went out towards the car awaiting them, the driver quickly opened the door so they could go in.
It was a long drive to the mall.
Finally reaching. The car stopped In front of the mall, Mrs yang gently came down with kamlyn before the drive drove away to the parking lot. Mrs yang majestically walked in while holding kamlyn's hand. They did a lot of shopping, From clothes to shoes and then to bags. Everything needed was bought. Kamlyn really did spend her Dad's money, that's what she loves to do.
Kamlyn suddenly requested for ice cream, but Mrs yang refused to grant her request. She Sulked all the way, which did not sit well Mrs yang, finally giving in. "Okay fine but just this once. No too much of cold things, you hear me?." Mrs yang ordered kamlyn who just nodded frantically with a wide smile. "I don't trust you I have to inform Elina too." Without waiting for kamlyn's affirmation Mrs yang added. They walked around the mall's park looking for ice cream, they found one by the corner of the park which Mrs yang bought for Kamlyn. "Okay look it is 4 now let's call daddy so he could come pick us up okay." Picking up her mobile phone Mrs yang dialed her husband's number. "Dear we are done now, Yes I already sent them to the Lu mansion…yes." Mrs yang dropped the phone after the call. "Baby dad will be here soon okay."
They didn't have to wait long, after ten minutes they could see the car in which Mr yang left in this morning, approaching them.
Kamlyn quickly sat near father hugging him tightly. " Hmmm someone really missed dad huh." Mr yang said with a smile. Kamlyn quietly nodded.
