Chapter seventy 70: JEALOUSY

A year and few months later

Lisa and her family where brought to the dust as they were in an unspeakable state, they tried to get in touch with Lee but was very unlucky as he had skyrocketed and had tight security around him, while working with Adria he attained greater heights and the past few months they had gotten used to each other as Adria was the only person he trusted apart from himself but that didn't change the fact that Adria hated him and they couldn't stand each other but with every passing day they learnt to tolerate each other.

"You have to stop staring at me and think of what to say when you get there." adria said as she handed Lee his suit which he had toss lazily on his office table.

"Hmm."

"I thought you said is a big deal."

"Hmm."

"So why do you look less concerned."

"Nothing." Lee said as he came closer to her.

"Distance Lee." Adria said as she stepped back.

Lee kept moving towards her as he said "Why are you acting like you could stop me if I'd want to make a move huh."

"What rubbish." how could he say that so bluntly she thought to herself.

"Oh please don't act like we haven't been there before, how do they say it been there done that."

"What!? what do you mean by been there done that, we haven't been there and from what I remembered from that night at your stupid party you threw yourself at me FORCEFULLY." she stressed the last word.

Lee chuckled as he got very close and bent forward "Don't worry scary cat your not my type, I like skinny and petite." he pressed few body behind her and went back to his previous position.

"Uh so am fat now huh."

"Oh why would you care, do you want me to like you deep down."

"No you aren't my type either your too old." Adria said as she threw her face to the other side.

"What!? Adria I'm 29+." Lee said as he was astounished by her comment.

"Hmmm too old, I need a man with a little age difference."

Getting tired of the conversation he switched his tone and the topic immediately "Whatever from tomorrow natural hairs only."

"What? what do you even mean is that a punishment or." immediately the elevator door opened and they stepped out.

Entering they met someone who welcomed them "Ahh welcome Mr Lee."

"Thanks slot dear, where's everyone?." Adria replied as she knew the spoilt brat of a boss won't reply.

"Oh they are waiting at the meeting."

"Thanks....."

"Alvaro."

"Ahh Alvaro." Adria repeated but got dragged by Lee.

"What's that?." Adria asked as she was stunned.

"Stop flirting with them Adria have some shame." Lee said as he stared down at the man at the back.

"Wait what? so helping out with your pathetic bad attitude is flirting now huh." Adria blinked a few times as she was trying to get her head rapped around what he just said.

"Oh please Adria I'm not joking right now and I don't want to see you near that dude again till we leave here." Lee said with a serious face devoid of every warmness.

Adria stared at him in disbelief, what an ungrateful man.

"Are we clear." Lee said as he didn't get any reply from her and he was angry by how close and nice the guy was to her.

"Yes."

"Good." he said as they both walked into the room "Ahh finally your here." one of the board member said.

"Hmm." Lee said as he had his seat, leaving Adria standing like a statue as there wasn't any other space for anyone else to seat where he chose to stay.

Alvaro came in and saw Adria standing "Ahh miss you shouldn't be standing as the meeting will be quit long why don't you come seat here there's a lot of space here."

"Thanks for the offer Mr Al.."

"Alvaro."

"Thanks Mr Alvaro." Adria gave a subtle smiled, she never knew Spanish guy were this sweet.

Lee stared at the scene with disgust as he didn't like how this guy was trying to get close to his Adria by his Adria he met his assistant he gave a fake cough and then spoke " hey please get me an extra seat." when they did he ordered them to place it very close to him and when they did he ordered Adria to seat there when she did he said "Learn to utilize your hands and brain, try not to ask for pity." he said and almost everyone heard it.

Adria felt embarrassed by his word but had to act professionally, she gave a calm smile and a nodded her head as the meeting began.

Everyone ignored the scene as they were already used to Lee's mean attitude, they were even suprised by how gentle the assistant was and how she didn't react to Lee's mean words.

"So we are saying that the price in the spain chart and that of the others don't tally." the coordinator started the meeting.

"Hmm I know Mr Gu but that's because there has been a bit of inflation in Spain lately and that's why we tried to keep our price at a beneficial level so we don't get affected negatively or loss our business." Mr Alvaro spoke.

"But Mr Alvaro you do know that this agency was originated to control the price for this particular product, you should have considered that this will affect the other countries as you did that." another person in the table spoke.

"No even before doing it, it would have affected everyone you guys didn't think about that what happened to consulting the board huh." another person backed the previous person up.

"I know but-." Mr Alvaro got interrupted by someone else as he tried to explain.

"But nothing." Lee who had been quiet for long spoke up "Reducing your price to such a level affected the rest of the people in this table and instead of accepting your mistakes you try to make up excuses for them?."

"Mr Lee it wasn't my intention and as all of you know I'm nothing but a representative and we are really trying to make some adjustments as we speak, we contacted the branch in India, Pakistan and china we were planning to straighten out the issues and compensate all the affected, Morte please show them the base." he called out to his assistant.

They talked for a while and at the end the meeting was concluded, in the meeting everyone wanted to hear from Adria who was quite all through as they thought she was welcoming and nice but it only aggravated Lee when anyone of the men from different branches in the world called out to his assistant, she wasn't the only female here neither was she the main focus, whenever they called out to her he'll cut the person off and that's how it went till they came to an end of the meeting.

At the end of the meeting most of them came to speak to lee and would cut shortly just to have a long conversation with his assistant, getting fed up lee pulled Adria and they entered the elevator just for few others to join and beginning a conversation again when the elevator opened Lee didn't even let them say goodbye as he dragged Adria to the garage where they parked there car when they were walking down Montero, Alvaro assistant approached them.

"Hey." he hurried to met up to Lee's big steps as he tugged Adria.

"What do you want?." Lee turned to him with a very threatening look.

He ignored Lee as he was scared and didn't want to aggravate the young man he immediately turned to the woman by his side "Miss my boss said I should hand this to you." he fished out a card from his pocket and handed it to her.

"Me?."

"Yes, he said you should call." he handed her the card before the card could get to her or before he could get a reply Lee tugged at Adria.

"re-."

"let's get going." Lee dragged her but she managed to get the card and then they got into the car "Your gonna throw that right."

"No, why would I do that." Adria frowned upon his comment.

Lee turned to her and scoffed "It's an order."

"No I am not."

"Yes-."

"No Lee, I ain't playing by your rules."

"Oh yes you are Adria, may I remind you, you signed a contract."

"That doesn't give you the right to treat me shitty ok." Adria said this time with anger and her voice a bit higher.

"What do you mean?."

"Disrespecting me in front of everyone that's the limit, I work for you but I'm not your slave, you can't just embarrass me when you please and what hurts is this isn't the first time, you don't do that!." and with that she got out of the car.

"Come back here." Lee screamed from the car.

Adria picked her phone and began to book an Uber ignoring the calls from Lee. Lee got upset and got out of the car and strolled to her, he snatched her phone and cancelled the ride.

"Give me back my phone."

"Not until you get into the car."

"No."

"Now Adria, I don't want to argue."

Adria stared at him and did as he said they got in to the car and back to the hotel they booked, Adria didn't speak to him as she went straight to her room and shut the door.
