Lee had come down stairs a while ago and he had been listening to the argument and watching there movements as well.

"I'm very disappointed in you Sofia how could you stood this low." Mark said as the other employees began to look at Sofia in a disgusted manner.

"Such a cheap lady." one of the employees spoke

"She's so stupid how could she do such a thing." Another commended.

"Now no other company will grant her employment." One said sadly.

"What's going on here." Lee finally made his presence known as he was tired of the side talks, everyone stared at him as they had never seen this face before.

Stephen immediately went beside him "Sorry boss there is a little misconception but it has been resolved now."

Everyone was stunned did there acting ceo just call this young guy boss? That means this young man is the owner of this company.

So he is there super ordinate they thought he'd be a bit aged as they had heard of his brutality and heartlessness but he looked nothing like these names people has given to him he only appeared cold.

Lee stepped into the office which the argument was held he looked at mark who greeted immediately.

"Good afternoon boss."

Lee ignored him and turned to Sofia who was crying bitterly as she packed her things.

"Sofia." He called out to her "Can you explain to me why your packing?."

"Sir I have been accused of…of something I don't know about." she said as she cried bitterly.

Lee stared at her and then back at mark before he asked her "What happened." He said as he handed her his handkerchief.

Everyone who was present there was stunned.

"Wait he knows her name." One commented.

"And he also handed her his personal handkerchief."

Sofia looked at him she hesitated to take the handkerchief but took it eventually cause it would be rude to reject a gift from her boss in front of people.

She collected the handkerchief and cleaned her eyes she tried to speak but busted into tears.

Mark took the opportunity to talk "Sir don't fall for this act, she's trying to get you to pity her she went against the companies policy and I fired her bu-."

Lee shut him up with just one glanced and then said "Did I ask you." with that he turned back to Sofia and said "Why did you send me those papers Sofia." He said gently.

He called her name again confirming everyone thought earlier they really weren't hallucinating earlier.

"I didn't-." she choked. Lee looked at her and said calmly "Breath Sofia nobody is going to do or say anything while I'm here now stop crying."

Sofia took a deep breath and began to explain "Mr mark approached me on Friday last week telling me to work on that file and ensure to finish it that day and submit it to your office."

Mark interrupted by saying "That's a lie, i never came to your office on Friday."

Lee looked at him and said "Not another word…..continue Sofia."

Sofia stared at mark with disappointment as she continued her narration "He also told me to ensure that when i submit the files I submit it with the other files mr Stephen sent so I did as I was told to. Today sir Stephen asked about the file openly and I called his attention and told him I worked on that file, he asked me who asked me to and I told him, only for him to met mr mark who denied everything."

Lee turned to mark who immediately said "She is lying I never gave her those papers to work on."

Lee called out to Stephen.

"Yes boss." Stephen answered.

"Who does a file pass through before getting to my office."

"Miss Sofia sir." Stephen replied. Saying this mr mark became happy and the workers exclaimed silently

Sofia felt so bad that she held into her clothes and weep.

"And before it gets to her who does it pass through." Lee asked again.

"Her supervisor sir."

"Good." Lee said as he checked his wrist watch "Before she sends it to my office it's being crossed checked I'm I correct."

"Yes sir."

"So who cross checks the work."

"Her supervisor."

"Who's her supervisor?."

"Mr mark."

"Exactly." Lee turned to mr mark, everyone was stunned to hear this, the matter just switched to point at the accuser.

"No sir I didn't see it, there must be a mistake somewhere I never saw those papers." Mark denied.

"Ok that's fine, Stephen when a paperwork is declined for specific reasons it's sent back to the person who supervised it I'm I correct."

"Yes sir."

"Alright get me the paperwork."

Stephen left and came back with the paperwork.

Mark was really shaken by the turn of event.

Stephen handed it to Lee, Lee glanced at it and turned to mark "Isn't this your stamp on the paper Mr mark or are we all blind."

"Sir I don't know how she did this but I promise it wasn't me."

"Are you still lying to my face." Lee said calmly "Would you like to know how much I know about this matter." Not waiting for a reply lee spoke "You were asked to dispose this document as it was terminated but for some reason you withheld it, because you were probably scared of something or should I say someone. When you received some threats from the person you became scared and had to act on impulse because you didn't want to get on the wrong foot with the person you promised. You handed it to your subordinate so she works on it, you thought you were very smart to ask her to merge them with that of Stephen's files that he has already worked on, how you both got your hands on that I do not know but you thought I wouldn't read them as I should have a lot of trust on my acting CEO's judgment. Furthermore you covered your tracks by using Sofia as your pawn, I'm sure you thought of using Stephen too but you were too scared so you settled for your subordinate you asked her to send them hoping I won't see them and if I did you would blame her." Lee paused and gave him a stare before he continued.

"Now I ask myself why would you go through all this stress if you are not gaining anything but it also occurred to me that you accepted money from the Xi's assistant to get the document approved and that why you were so scared of what would happen to you if I found out, hmm so much greed. I pay every one here enough to keep up with there daily life's my companies are rated for there high pay so why did you let your greed consume you now you are here sweating profusely like your close to a volcano that wants to erupt and your heart is racing too." Lee said counting his steps as he approached mark "Why would you do this?."

"I'm really sorry sir I didn't mean to, I wasn't aware those papers were-."

"Stephen send him out of this place." Lee interrupted him as he wasn't in for debates or discussion.

Mark was sent out of the company and the press released a statement of him being a fraudulent person, Sofia got a promotion to mark's position and lee ordered for two vacancies stating that the supervisor for the company must be differentiated from the cross checker of files.

The day went smoothly after the issue, Lee shifted the board meeting to the next day but he addressed them about the market target to be attained after his celebration.
