A movie set is currently busy with tons of people everywhere. The staff and crew of the set are doing their own jobs while the actors and actresses are also busy preparing for the set.

In this busy scene, Ma Mian is currently sitting in one corner as she did not have anything to do. She arrives at the set a bit earlier to familiarize herself with everything. This is one of her routines as Ma Liling, so she is already used to it. But the difference with her status from before is that people would respectfully greet her as Ma Liling, while Ma Mian is a 'nobody' and people would usually act like they did not see anybody.

Right now, she is waiting for the actress she was assigned with, Yun Qi.

Yun Qi is a new actress signed by the ABC Company and has gained small popularity with some of her dramas. Before, she would always act as extra or in small roles. But her breakthrough came after she was signed in ABC Company.

With the help of Yi Beiwei, her career turns from worst to better. It was truly her luck for being under CEO Yi Beiwei who saw her potential as an actress.

And now she has gained the opportunity to act alongside the famous veteran actress, Tang Aijin in this drama, 'Breeze of endearment'. For those in the entertainment industry, Tang Aijin is known as the queen of drama. In the past, her name was really famous and she has maintained her fame until today.

In fact, Ma Liling is a little familiar with Tang Aijin and is a close acquaintance of hers as they acted in a movie before and have gotten close to each other. She knew a little bit about Tang Aijin and some of her... secrets.

And right now, Ma Mian already saw Tang Aijin entering the movie set which has attracted a lot of the staff members in the set. Meanwhile, Ma Mian frowns as she did not expect that Yu Qi would be arriving this late.

She waited for a while and noticed that only 30 minutes left before the filming would start. And this made her feel a bit disappointed in the woman.

She remembers that when she was a budding actress, she would always come 1 to 2 hours early to show respect to her seniors. But this junior of hers is a bit lacking in that aspect.

She knew that Yu Qi would be scolded but that girl could not blame anyone but herself for being late.

Not long later, 15 minutes before the start, she saw a young woman entering the set in a rush while carrying a backpack and some books in her arms. From one look, Ma Mian immediately knew that the woman is a college student.

As she looks at Yu Qi she just shook her head and knew that she has a lot of work to do in the short span of 15 minutes.

However, Ma Mian is a professional, before the woman arrives; she has already prepared everything, even her wardrobes.

When Yu Qi approaches her designated makeup desk, she saw a calmly looking woman who has an aura of nerdiness around her.

"Umm… you… you are my makeup artist?" Yu Qi asked with a hint of doubt in her tone.

Her previous makeup artist is a bit chubby, and a little chatty, so the two of them have already gotten a bit close to each other. So she was a bit surprised to see a new makeup artist assigned to her by the company.

"Yes... Please… we have to get ready…" Ma Mian replied with a polite smile as she gestured for Yu Qi to take a seat.

Yu Qi showed a hint of doubt in her eyes, but since she is already this late, she could not complain. As she set her stuff on the side and sits down, she heard the woman introduced herself.

"I am Ma Mian, I'm going to be your makeup artist today…" Ma Mian said as she set everything ready.

"By the way, are you busy with school?" Ma Mian asked while preparing the face of Yu Qi.

Her movement was quick and precise, and Yu Qi just watches her movement and feels a hint of relief upon knowing that the woman is actually an expert.

"Umm… I'm already in my 3rd year. I'm taking liberal arts majoring in Psychology…" Yu Qi replied while closing her eyes.

Ma Mian showed a hint of astonishment in her eyes, but she did not say anything. She too has taken the same course before, but because of her schedule, she has not finished her schooling. She admires the woman because of her tenacity to study even though she is busy with her schedule as an actress. But Ma Mian seems to know that Yu Qi would be having a hard time doing two things at the same time.

The two talk for a while and it did not take long before Yu Qi came out of the dressing room and it only took her exactly 15 minutes before she is already ready with her costume and makeup.

Seeing her arriving in the set on time, the people were a bit baffled as they knew that she came in late. They are even going to give her some scolding, but it seems that instead of scolding they showed stunned expressions on their faces.

Who would have expected her to finish her preparation in a short time of 15 minutes which would usually take around an hour or two?

Then their eyes went to the woman standing on the side with a big grin on her face.

Although the woman looks unremarkable, ordinary, and dressed like a nerd with her wide-leg denim jumper, they could not help but reassess the woman for her skills.

"Hi, you're new here, right?" one of the makeup artists walks beside Ma Mian.

"Ah… Yes, I'm the new makeup artist of Yu Qi… I'm Ma Mian…" Ma Mian replied while she extended her hand with a smile.

The woman showed a faint smile on her face and shook hands with Ma Mian.

"I think I saw you before…" the makeup artist said.

"Me? Really? Where?" Ma Mian could not help but ask.

"Hmm… Jiaolong Corporation…" the makeup artist said with a smile.

Hearing her words, Ma Mian could not help but nod her head in realization.
