Yin Mexiang is the beauty of the makeup department of the ABC Entertainment Company. She has been famous for her work and is currently working on many big projects. However, what she dreams of is to take someone's spot.

She wanted to be on the international stage. She wanted to go abroad and be the makeup artist of the models from ABC Company abroad.

And right now in front of her is the woman who has that spot.

According to her information, Ma Mian was sent abroad ever since she started working in the company. She worked with Ma Liling before and from then on she was hired to always travel everywhere around the world.

And this kind of work and lifestyle is what she wished for. However, it seems that no matter how hard she works, she could only get the most lucrative project locally.

She is being paid well, and she does not have any problem with that. It's just that she wanted more; she wanted to go out, explore, and widen her horizon. After an amount of time and researching the reason why she is unable to do that, she came up with one.

And that is the ugly-looking woman in front of her who is dressed like some geek, with her freckled face, thick-rimmed glasses, and tasteless clothing. In her mind, this woman named Ma Mian does not deserve the opportunity given to her at all.

Though she knew that what she is doing is useless and futile, right now, she just wanted to vent out her frustration to the annoying and irritating woman who is an eyesore for her.

"I think she is an outsider and does not belong here!" Yin Mexiang said on the side while the two security personnel approach Ma Mian.

"Miss, you should get out of this place or we drag you out, it's your choice…" one of the security personnel said.

"What are you doing, just drag her out." The other one who seems to be looking at Yin Mexiang with a fawning expression suddenly said.

He extended his hand to grab Ma Mian's, but before he could touch her, Ma Mian someone caught him.

"What are you people doing?" a stern high pitch male voice echoed in the lounge.

Then beside Ma Mian stood a tall man wearing a pink-colored shirt paired with skinny jeans and black shoes. The design of the shirt he is wearing is a bit odd and feminine.

"George…" Ma Mian muttered upon seeing her friend.

George Lang winked at Ma Mian as he puts his hands on his hips, then glared at the two security personnel.

"Do you know who she is?" he said while glaring at the two.

George's feisty attitude made everyone in the lounge silent. Even the domineering Yin Mexiang could not say anything. In fact, no one in this lounge could say anything as George has a higher position than them.

George is a famous person in the entertainment industry, and he enters ABC Company because of his friendship with Yi Beiwei.

Ma Mian and George Lang met when Ma Mian first entered the company as the alter ego of Ma Liling. At first, she does not have any work as a new artist, and the two became friends while working together. Not long later, Ma Liling became famous and the friendship between Ma Mian and George Lang slowly became colder.

However, the two are still friends and have contact with each other even though Ma Mian was told to be working abroad.

"Humph… Let's go girl, don't mind these people…" George Lang said as he took the hands of Ma Mian and walks out of the lounge.

"I missed you…" Ma Mian suddenly said as she coquettishly held onto George Lang's hand.

"Haha… You girl, stop acting cute…" George suddenly looks around and then pulled Ma Mian on the side.

"How are you doing? I'm a bit worried about you and what had happened…" George said with a tone of worry in his voice.

Seeing her friend looking like that and the implication of his tone, Ma Mian knew that her friend has already discovered something.

When George Lang saw the expression on Ma Mian, a slight smirk appears on his mouth.

"Girl, do you think my eyes are just for show? I have the talent to see mistakes in many of my works, how can I not notice about my best friend?" George Lang proudly said while his eyes are looking around.

Ma Mian knew that her secret is out and George Lang seems to know something. But she was a bit surprised that he never told anyone even though he knew it.

"When… When did you know?" Ma Mian asked feeling a bit guilty.

"Hihi… I think it was when Ma Liling had a photoshoot with me… I didn't know what is happening, and why are you hiding it, but… as a friend I respect you. I wanted to wait until you are ready to tell me…" George Lang said with a smile.

"Sigh… I'm sorry…" Ma Mian said but before she could say anything George suddenly signaled for her to stop.

He then drags Ma Mian to the top floor and enters Yi Beiwei's room.

Seeing her two friends, Yi Beiwei frowns.

"What are you two doing?" she asked while looking at the two with a strange look.

"Sigh… George already knew the secret…" Ma Mian said as she takes off her glasses.

Yi Beiwei showed a stunned expression and felt a bit worried.

"It's been a bit some time that he learned about it…" Ma Mian said as she calmly sits on the sofa.

"Ouch… I feel a bit hurt. My two best friends keeping this secret…" George Lang acted like he was hurt a bit as he slowly fell on the sofa while clutching his chest.

When the two saw his reaction, they suddenly laughed.

"Okay… No secrets now… Tell me everything…" George Lang said as he glared at the two and proudly raised his chin like a haughty and proud person.

Seeing him springing back to life and his reaction, Ma Mian and Yi Beiwei both rolled their eyes. They knew that this friend of theirs has already forgiven them for keeping everything from him.

And so they locked the office door and began explaining to George what had happened in the past and about Ma Mian and Ma Liling's characters.
