I didn't intend to but I end up buying enough cleaning products and food to last us a month, three hours later we return home and Miss Alice help me to pack the things away, and since she was already there she offered to cook dinner. When she was finished I call her a taxi; I then gave her the money she didn't get before and extra for staying and helping me and for agreeing to continue working for me.
Kayla came home at seven pm as I was getting ready for work. "Hi, baby." She greeted me sweetly with a kiss on my cheek. "Where were you?" I demand narrowing my eyes at her. "I...I told you I had some things to take care of." "And what exactly did you have to take care of? And why the hell did it take the whole day?" I ask angrily folding my arms across my chest. "You know, women stuff, it has to do with the wedding, you wouldn't understand." "I can never get a straight answer from you can I Kayla? You say it has to do with the wedding but still you tell me I wouldn't understand; well, try me," I said in a challenging tone.
"Please Ty, I really don't want to get into it right now." She whines. "Of course you don't. So, how're you feeling?" "I'm fine and the baby is fine, so if you're finished interrogating me can we change the subject. I need to take a shower."
Oh yes which reminds me. I thought and hold up my hand to stop her as she was about to pass me. "Speaking of changing the subject, Miss Alice came to see me today, she told me that you've been rude and insulting to her and that it has been going on for quite some time, she almost quit her job today because of you," I said as she snorts and continues walking towards the bathroom.
"Almost quit? Trust me, Ty she wasn't going to quit, she just wanted attention." She said and attempt to close the bathroom door but I stop it with my hands and push it back open and step inside the bathroom with her and after taking a few deep breaths I look her in the face and said as calmly as I could manage.
"Kayla. Ramishka. Watson. As much as I love you I need you to listen to what I'm about to say to you. Now we all know that you can't wash, cooks, or clean to save your life and despite all your faults I still love you with all my heart." "I know you do." She said smiling to herself. "Alright then, now the reason I got Miss Alice is so she can do all the things you fall short on and she's damn good at what she does so I expect you to treat her with respect, got that? I ask in a very firm tone.
She made a funny face at me and step into the shower and turn on the pipe. "Listen, Kayla, if you can't speak to her with the respect she deserves then for the love of God do not speak to her at all, am I making myself clear?" She stuck her head out of the shower and raise her brow while biting her lips, she then pulls it back in and continues her shower; after a few minutes of not saying anything she turns off the pipe and steps out wrapping a towel around her.
"I hear what you're saying Ty but…." "But nothing." I snap angrily because I feel that she wasn't taking me seriously. "It's either you talk to her with respect or you avoid her completely, better yet maybe you should leave the house when she's here, that way you won't have to speak to her at all and the next time you see her you damn well better apologize to her for how you treated her."
"Apologize? You can't be serious." She said with another snort. "I'm dead serious Kayla because we can't afford to lose her and how could you not pay the woman? For god's sake Kay the woman is old enough to be your mother; this nonsense of yours ends now, got that." I said clenching my fists.
"And another thing as busy as you are doing God knows what, don't make any plans for Sunday because my parents have invited us to dinner and I would rather not explain to them why you couldn't make it." Taking up my bag I head towards the door. "I love you and I'll see you in the morning," I said without looking at her.
I was almost to the door when she came running down the stairs after me. "Baby wait." She runs over to me and wraps her hands around my neck and kissed me passionately while pulling my pants. "What are you doing? I'm going to be late for work." I mumble against her lips. "Just give me five minutes please, you don't have to have sex with me just let me pleasure you, please baby." She whispers kissing my neck.
"I've been waiting for you all day and now that I'm about to leave for work you want to pleasure me?" I ask as she wrapped her fingers around my sex organ and began massaging it. "Baby…I can't… not now…I'm going to be late, baby please." I moan as she covers me with her lips. Five minutes later I was completely naked on top of her on the sofa.
It was eight pm Thursday night and Jessica was getting her things ready to go home when Jason entered the locker room. "Hi, Jessie is T.J here yet?" "Nope, not yet, he must still be home stressing with his miserable fiancée. What a nightmare, I wouldn't wish that witch on my worst enemy. She's rude, stuck up, snobbish, and prejudice, I for one think that T.J can do a lot better." Jessica comments with a snort of disgust.
"Wait you left out worthless, the girl can't do anything but I guess she makes up for all that in the bedroom," Jason adds. "I guess you're right, I mean she must be doing something right, why else would T. J be so hell-bent on marrying that witch." Jessica sneers.
Martin enters the room and rolled his eyes at Jessica's last remark. "You guys can stand here and bad mouth Kayla all you want but it isn't going to change the fact that T.J is so in love with her that he isn't going to allow anyone or anything to prevent him from marrying her."
"Weeeell listen to you, it wasn't long ago that you were saying the same things." Jessica scowled him with both hands on her hips. "That was before I realized that everyone has their faults even T.J but I think he's more marrying her out of guilt, seeing as though he's the one responsible for the death of her unborn child."
"Bite your tongue," Jason said in shock. "How the hell can you say something like that? T.J wasn't even here so how the hell could he be responsible?" Jason demand. "He didn't have to be here to be responsible!" Martin snaps. "Well you know what Martin, you can say whatever you want but I've known T.J for a very long time and I'm willing to bet my life on the fact that he's not to be blamed for what happened to his child." Jessica's voice was firm, sharp, and cold but Martin stood his ground.
"You guys can repeat that phrase till you're blue in the face but I've known T.J a lot longer than any of you and I'm a hundred percent sure that he's in fact responsible for the death of that child," Martin states folding his arms across his chest.
"Well, at least now I know the truth. Because ever since I came back from Japan you've been nothing but cold and harsh with me, it's one thing to assume that you blamed me but to actually hear you say it, hurts like hell." I said entering the room.
"But you know what, this morning you told me that if my conscience was clear it didn't really matter what anyone else thinks, well Martin my conscience is clear and you can spend the rest of your life convincing yourself that I'm to blame but the truth is, I'm not," I said putting my bag in my locker and my stethoscope around my neck and my watch in my top pocket.
"I'll admit that going on that trip without her was pretty stupid but I would've been on the very next flight out of Japan, if she didn't keep stalling me or if she had just told me what happen but she didn't; did she? She had days to tell me she had a miscarriage but she didn't." I said as hurt and regret course through my body
Jason and Jessica looked at each other as Tyler's anger grew. He was standing inches away from Martin with his fists clenched and his eyes cold. "I didn't have a clue that my child was dead until I came back home." I sneer. "Oh come off it T.J you and I both know that Kayla didn't…." Martin stopped and bit his lip, then taking a deep breath walks towards his locker.
"What? Kayla didn't what Martin? Finish the damn sentence." I demanded. "Was it that she didn't want my support? Or she didn't think that it was important for me to know that my child was dead? What reason could she possibly have for keeping something like that from me?"
Martin flinches slightly and backed away from me when I leaned closer to him while shouting the questions. Seeing that Ty was practically shaking with rage Martin decided to hold his tongue.
"Listen, what goes on between you and your woman is between you and your woman but after what you did our relationship will never be the same, now I've nothing more to say on this subject." With that Martin took up his bag and left the room.
