They completely fell into Blackbeard's trap.
In that case, the Marine's involvement in the Summit War has become a complete joke.
However, Sengoku quickly shook his head, thinking that it couldn't be true. Even if the Marine Admirals were seriously injured in their battle against Whitebeard, the Marine still has many capable individuals who don't possess Devil Fruit powers and can handle Teach.
So there's no doubt it's impossible. But then, it raises a question: Why did Blackbeard Teach come to the Summit War?
Sengoku was puzzled. Could it be that he really came to kill his godfather? Blackbeard would be too filial in that case.
Meanwhile, on the Moby Dick, Marco's analysis continued.
"However, this possibility is relatively small. Even if the Marines and us are both heavily injured, Teach's newly formed Blackbeard Pirates wouldn't be able to handle it. So the question remains, why did he come?" Marco said.
The others nodded in agreement. The previous speculations had startled them. If Teach and his Blackbeard Pirates really wiped out the Marines, it wouldn't be a joke.
It would mean that the entire world would change. But as Marco mentioned, this is almost impossible. Even if Blackbeard consumed the Yami Yami no Mi, it's unlikely he could accomplish such a feat in an instant.
This option remains doubtful.
Marco continued, "The third option is Crocodile. He once challenged Whitebeard but was easily defeated by him. He must hold a considerable grudge against Whitebeard, and he appeared in the Summit War. If he took advantage of Whitebeard's severe injury to launch a sneak attack, it's not impossible. So he is highly possible as well."
As for the fourth option, Yonko Kaido... that is a thought-provoking question.
The group's hearts trembled at the mention. Just as Teach could take advantage of the situation, why wouldn't Kaido do the same?
The Marines and Whitebeard Pirates, both heavily injured, would be a delight for the other Yonko.
For these two forces, whether one is defeated or both are barely alive, they would be like meat on a chopping board.
Everyone would want a bite.
Early birds have it, and latecomers have none.
A Summit War like this would undoubtedly not go unnoticed by the other Yonko, especially since it was a public execution. The Beast Pirates captain, Kaido, would naturally know about it.
Since he knows, not taking action would go against the nature of this greedy pirate.
He would undoubtedly make a move.
Therefore, whether he also interfered in the Summit War is another question mark.
Considering all the possibilities, Marco couldn't determine the true culprit or who killed Whitebeard.
The crowd listened to Marco's analysis but couldn't reach a definitive conclusion.
Ace thought for a moment and suddenly said, "Can't we consider other information?"
"What other information?" Vista asked curiously.
"For example, the intelligence we obtained from other sources, like the fact that the World Summit will continue as scheduled two years later and that the Seven Warlords of the Sea have been replenished. This proves that the Marines were not destroyed after the Summit War.
Doesn't that suggest that Kaido probably didn't appear at Marine Headquarters? If the Marines were simultaneously at war with two Yonko, the outcome wouldn't be much better for them. Let's not forget about Big Mom and Shanks, as well as the large group of pirates in the New World.
If the Marines suffered heavy losses, they would likely face fierce retaliation. Two years is not enough time for them to recover, and it would probably be worse."
"Ace makes a valid point," Marco nodded. "So we can rule out the fourth option, leaving us with three."
Meanwhile, in the New World and Onigashima, Kaido, feeling bored, took a sip of his drink. It turns out he had nothing to do with it. Well, that's that.
"Among the remaining three, which one should we choose?" the crowd asked curiously.
"We can only pick the most likely one among them because each of the three is possible," Marco said.
At that moment, Whitebeard glanced at Teach, who was bound and kneeling on the ground, and spoke up, "Choose Akainu. I understand Crocodile well. He indeed wanted to defeat me, but he wouldn't do it in this way.
Although our pirate style is more ruthless than the Marines, most pirates still have their own pride in this regard. We are stronger than the Marines in this aspect.
So choose Akainu."
Whitebeard didn't even mention Teach because he still had feelings for him as a father figure for over 20 years. He didn't believe Teach would go to such lengths, deliberately coming to the Summit War to kill him.
Upon hearing Whitebeard's words, the others also glanced at Teach, seemingly understanding Whitebeard's intention.
Since Dad made the decision, they had nothing more to say.
"We'll follow Dad's choice."
"If Dad says it's Akainu, then it's Akainu."
"If we encounter Akainu, we won't spare him. He caused us the most damage in the Summit War, and if we come across him, we must teach him a lesson."
"Then let's choose Akainu."
...
The crowd unanimously agreed with Whitebeard's choice.
At Marine Headquarters, Akainu himself heard their words, and instead of anger, a smile appeared on his face.
Being able to personally end the life of a Yonko was something he eagerly desired and found satisfying.
His goal was to eliminate evil, and the Yonko represented the greatest evil in the world.
Taking down Whitebeard would be enough to excite him.
Thinking about how he would kill the bloodline of Roger, Ace, during the Summit War, and now the Yonko Whitebeard.
It could be considered a great achievement. Even though these events had not yet happened, they served as proof of his strength and honor.
Rest assured, this is not just a prophecy. I will make it a reality in the future... Akainu stared at the members of the Whitebeard Pirates on the Mobi dick ship during the live broadcast. His gaze swept across Whitebeard, Marco, Ace, and the other high-ranking members of the Whitebeard Pirates, his eyes filled with murderous intent.
In the live broadcast, on the Mobidic ship, Whitebeard gave his answer to luo kee.
"I choose A, Admiral Akainu."
luo kee directly gave the answer, "Incorrect. The correct answer is Marshall D. Teach of the Blackbeard Pirates."
"What?!"
"Teach, it's you?!"
Instantly, the Whitebeard Pirates erupted in chaos.
The one who killed their father figure was not Akainu but Teach.
Everyone looked at Teach, who was now bound on the ground, with disbelief, and emotions like anger and hatred surged out like gushing springs.
They never could have imagined that Teach would actually do something like this.
He killed Thatch, stole the fruit, handed Ace over to the Marines, which led to the Summit War, and caused numerous deaths of Whitebeard Pirates in Marine Headquarters.
After doing all these things, Teach still wasn't satisfied. After leaving Impel Down, he actually went to Marine Headquarters and personally killed their father figure.
Is this still a human being?
Teach, you've called Whitebeard "father" for over twenty years. How could you sink so low?
All the members of the Whitebeard Pirates glared at Teach with anger. What kind of monster had emerged on their ship?
Teach also realized the gravity of the situation. If things went wrong, he might be killed by the furious former brothers of the Whitebeard Pirates.
He quickly begged Whitebeard, "Father, I truly didn't know about this. I never thought about doing something like this!
Father, please believe me.
If you're angry and want to kill or torture me, I accept it. But I genuinely haven't done these things. No... I haven't even thought about them now. I don't know how it turned out like this.
At this point, I don't know what to say to make you believe me. Father, I only ask you, considering the past twenty years, to give me a swift end. With my life, I will provide you and Thatch with an explanation."
After speaking, Teach kowtowed to Whitebeard, begging for mercy.
Even Teach himself was shocked by this news.
He had actually killed Whitebeard with his own hands. To be honest, he hadn't even considered such a thing because he knew that even if he had consumed the Yami Yami no Mi, he couldn't have done it.
That's also why he planned to escape after stealing the fruit.
But soon, he realized that this might be true.
He instigated the Summit War, causing a clash between the Marines and the Whitebeard Pirates, but it wasn't over yet.
He knew himself well enough that if such a situation really occurred, he would go and check it out because there was something he wanted from Whitebeard.
If he really killed Whitebeard, it would also mean... Thinking of this, Teach's eyes showed ecstatic joy, but quickly turned into disappointment, regret, and a sense of missed opportunity...
Because all of this would have happened if it weren't for the unexpected factor of luo kee.
But now everything had changed. The situation had been exposed prematurely, and he had been captured by Whitebeard.
What's worse, the Yami Yami no Mi had already been consumed by Thatch. Initially, he could have had a dream-like start, but now it had turned into a nightmare mode.
Even his life was in jeopardy now.
He could only hope that the Whitebeard he knew so well would act as he had expected.
Whitebeard looked disappointedly at Teach, who was lying on the ground.
He truly hadn't expected that Teach would actually come to kill him.
Upon hearing this news, Whitebeard felt genuine disappointment, frustration, and pain.
Few people could understand the emotions of a father hearing that he would be killed by his own son.
After listening to Teach's words, Whitebeard didn't lay a hand on him. He simply looked at Teach with disappointment.
Originally, he had planned to solve the issue with the Yami Yami no Mi and then punish Teach before observing his behavior to decide whether to expel him from the Whitebeard Pirates.
After all, Whitebeard understood Teach's ambition to become the Pirate King, something he, as a pirate, could comprehend. Besides, pirates weren't necessarily kind-hearted people, and he hadn't expected all his sons to be saints.
Although the Whitebeard Pirates were united and harmonious internally, they were still ruthless pirates to the outside world. Their kindness was only reserved for their own.
Teach couldn't control his greed and acted against his brothers, violating the strict rules of the Whitebeard Pirates, which called for punishment.
However, this matter was discovered in advance, Thatch was unharmed, and Whitebeard allowed Thatch to consume the Yami Yami no Mi. The conflict between Thatch and Teach had been resolved.
Moreover, Teach's attitude after being discovered was favorable (in Whitebeard's perspective, Teach had realized his mistake, sincerely apologized, and felt deep regret). Currently, there hadn't been any irreversible consequences. So, after punishing Teach, Whitebeard planned to forgive him.
Besides, he remembered that Teach had once said that if he hadn't encountered the Yami Yami no Mi, he intended to stay in the Whitebeard Pirates for the rest of his life.
In the end, it was all caused by the Yami Yami no Mi. If it weren't for the Yami Yami no Mi, Teach wouldn't have done such a thing.
Since the Yami Yami no Mi has already been consumed, Whitebeard is willing to believe in Teach one more time and give him another chance.
But now, he can't forgive Teach anymore. Teach actually tried to kill even his own father, completely severing the father-son bond between them.
The Whitebeard Pirates can no longer tolerate Teach.
Whitebeard no longer looks at Teach. He is extremely disappointed.
Meanwhile, at Marine Headquarters, Admiral Akainu's smile freezes upon hearing that Teach, not him, killed Whitebeard, and his expression turns into anger.
This guy dares to steal his credit.
He had already left Whitebeard heavily injured, and now Teach comes out and kills Whitebeard. What a bastard!
Akainu clenches his fist as a scorching heat spreads through his hand.
What infuriates the likes of the Admirals and Akainu even more is that the credit for killing Whitebeard should have belonged to the Marines, but it was stolen by someone else.
And that someone is Teach.
What does this mean?
Teach orchestrated the Summit War, pitting the Whitebeard Pirates against the Marines in a life-and-death struggle, while he secretly stole from the Marines, taking the control of Marineford.
When the Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines were nearly exhausted from the battle, Teach came out and snatched Whitebeard's head.
This means that the Marines were basically working for Teach throughout the entire ordeal, like excellent employees who pay, work, and even sacrifice their lives, and in the end, they even handed over their assets. It's just plain foolishness.
As the fog of the Summit War lifts, it seems that people all over the world are starting to realize that the Marines are just a bunch of workers.
At first, they thought it was a victory for the Marines, but in the end, it was a victory for Teach.
The Marines have become a laughingstock worldwide.
Now, it is the Marines who want to kill Teach more than anyone else.
Figuratively, people like Akainu and the Admirals cast fierce glares at the bound black-haired man on the live broadcast, wishing that Whitebeard would kill him right now. This guy deserves to die!
