*FSshhhhhhhhhhhhh~...*
Warm.
The water surrounded me and rained down upon my body, it was so pleasent.
The feeling of having all the warm water wash away all the dirt and grime that accumulated on my body. Was a very wonderful feeling as always.
Silently standing still with my head knocked against the ceramic tiled wall I stood letting the water pour over me.
I'll never hate this feeling of cleanliness.
But it is rather strange just how much I love it.
I almost feel brand new after every single one. Yet, I almost never take any unless I deem it necessary.
I abhor the thought of getting into the shower every single day and put it off days on end.
At the end of the day I feel disgusting and yet I don't wash up...
How strange.
…
Walking past a numerous amount of lockers, some with their owners in front and others closed tight, I soon arrive at my own.
Reaching over and imputing the combination I swing the door open to reveal the contents inside.
My armor was placed inside on hooks, a copy of my outfits and even a set of hidden weapons. The addition to my locker that took up the most space was Kubokiribocho, so after some contemplation I stored it away in my inventory rather than the locker. Even if it was disassembled it took up to much space.
Taking out a set of clothing from my inventory I acted as if it were in my locker already.
Donning the outfit I could be seen as a rather handsome individual.
Though the only downside was that I have the face of Madara rather than my original face. Sorta disappointing, but I'd still prefer this than don my original face, to many memories that I want to forget.
I've even begun to slowly forget how I originally looked; if I didn't have my perfect memory I'd have long forgotten.
The clothing I wore consisted of a white t-shirt, long black baggy pants, black socks and black/white sneakers.
My outfit wasn't overly dramatic and yet it stood out do to how harmonious it was together. The guys looked on envoiusly as the woman stared with flushed faces.
Turns out the school had mixed bathing. It was to allow for people to develop bonds with allies. Whether internally or between teams.
Though of course there are rules that prohibit males from laying their hands on females. If they are caught they'd be publicly punished. From a simple scolding to execution; this applies to other crimes as well.
This basically became the norm after an incident many years back involving the Atlesian Military... And myself. Start for another time though.
Back to the explanation... Therefore no person has had any thoughts to do anything more than look at the girls.
And without failure the school also has only private baths. Meaning that no outsiders will be bathing alongside you.
Only today are men and woman completly seperate when bathing and only intertwined in the locker room. Of course, if they desire, they can change privatly in changing rooms... And if they don't feel comfortable with their team they are also not required to bathe together.
'Such a complicated way for the rules to state... If you want bathe together you can do so freely with your team if they agree and if you don't then don't. Break a rule and get punished on a similar level to the crime. No means No... Yada yada yada… Fucking kill me I don't want to think about rules anymore. Goddamn I hate my way of thinking... Why am I even saying all of this in my head anyway?'
Earlier I had saw the long and lengthy line for the private changing rooms I decided to forgo the wait in line and change openly as I had nothing to hide. Only thing they got to see was my naked body and battle scars, all of which I was reluctant to heal as its cooler this way.
These children sure do get annoying. Without even gaining the chance to dress fully I've been hit with an overwhelming wave of bloodlust and hatered. Jealousy is an easily widespread thing amongst teenagers.
*Slam!* Shutting my locker I go to leave. I have no reason speak with these nobodies and yet I already have reason to kill half of them. 'How pathetic.'
Speaking not only of the students but also myself, I was more easily irritated than ever before today.
...
Walking into the ballroom I find an asortment of figures laid out accross the large open floor. The amount of people I racognized was more than I bothered to name, some I met on my travels and some I know from their series before I was taken to this world after my death.
Some were just the background characters, some were side characters and some were of course the Main Characters.
Each were having their own conversations and off in their own little world, and of course some were causing a ruckus in every way possible: Some were arguing over games, some were hitting on girls, some were even fighting, one in paticular was stripping his clothes, and a few were eating mounds of food.
"Sigh~" 'Good thing there is so much space here, otherwise I'd have to get involved to shut them up.' But with all seriousness, you would have no way to figure out that Ruby is the MC of this world by looking into the crowd.
Speaking of Ruby, she seems to already be writing into a piece of paper as she lays on her futon provided by the school and the Corgi pillow Yang gifted her.
Yang was already beside her talking up about how she already made friends with Jaune and Weiss.
"Look it's only been one day. You've got friends all around you. You just haven't met them yet."
Walking up I listened to Yang's advice alongside Ruby.
*Trch* I hear the lighting of a match from behind.
Looking over I can see a familiar figure reading a book beside the candle that was lit.
Walking on over I can feel that Yang and Ruby were already following me over. Seems they think I'm more socialable than the both of them.
"Hey there. Mind if I take a seat?" Looking over the girl who was reading her book I asked permission to sit beside her.
"Mm?" She looked up and almost froze again like earlier but quickly nodded her head.
With a small smile forming on my lips I take a seat to her left, opposite where the candle was placed.
As I was getting ready to relax and talk about the book I saw her reading I heard from above a light "Ahem".
Looking up I saw that Yang was indeed there and Ruby beside her caught by the arm and having a wry smile on her face that screamed it wasn't her idea to come over.
To my side the girl let out a questioning gaze as if asking me who these two girls were.
"Sigh~. Blake, these two are my sisters. The blond one is Yang and the smaller one is Ruby."
"Hey!" Ruby didn't take to kindly to me calling her small.
"So she was your sister?" Blake looked between Ruby and Yang, looking between the both of them she saw a little resemblance but looking back my way she didn't quite see where I had fit in.
"Yes she is. I practically taught her all the basics of this world. A whole lot of knowledge was shoved into her head over the years I taught her. I've also known her since birth and her mother was my family." A gentle look washed over Ruby and Yang from me as I talked. Feeling this the both of them returned a smile to me and cheered up.
"So what brought the two of you over?" Asking them outright I just wanted them to be straight with Blake.
Talking to both me and Blake Yang explained herself "Well Darian. Ruby doesn't have any friends here at Beacon other than us two and now Wiess and Jaune so when Ruby recognized Blake from earlier and that you were going this way I decided to have you introducer her."
"Going all out for Ruby huh? Well I can help with that as well. I know many people and have many contacts the world over." Rising up from the floor and patting myself off I grab for my back pocket and pull out a small notebook
All three of the girls were interested... But cue Weiss entering stage left!
Walking over Weiss was about to mouth us off for congregating and talking as she prepared for bed. We were the closest so she began with us. Good thing to, as both Natsu and Gray looked like they were about to kill each other- oh it seems Erza stepped in.
Still slightly peeved that we were still talking amongst eachother Weiss was about to tell us to go to bed when she looked at the notebook in my hand. Her face seemed to go even paler that usual after laying her eyes on the name written on it.
"*Gulp* Darian... Where did you get that?" She pointed at the notebook in my hand.
Standing up from the floor Blake also took a look and the color in her face also similarly drained.
Yang and Ruby alike were both weirded out at the reactions of both Weiss and Blake so they looked over and read it out "God Faction?"
Almost like a ripple effect the surroundings managed to quiet down.
Many looked our way with questioning looks. They heard those words and immediatly got serious.
But I cared not for the lot of them and swept my gaze accross the room.
Turning away some acted as if they saw the face of a dragon or demon.
None dared to look over after a minute's time.
Making a single *Hitsuji* hand seal, I used Fuinjutsu to place a barrier that suppressed any sound from leaking to the surroundings.
Seeing the reactions of every one around the girls caught on to not speak lightly of this God Faction.
Handing over the notebook for the girls to read I spoke to them "Listen up girls. The God Faction is a group of beings that are qualified to be recognised as full blown God's. Some as Half Gods or even False Gods. Each and every member is a force that could cause extreme devistation if angered. They consist solely of extrordinary beings that have immence power."
Looking into the notebook the girls begin to read and as they did their faces only grew darker and heavier, backs full of cold sweat all four knew that their reality is being challenged by this very knowledge.
"As you can tell... In that book lies the information of many members of that God Faction. All of them have so much power that you couldn't ever fathom. The faction itself doesn't sway to the Good nor Bad side of society. In fact, for entertainment purposes the stronger ones love to watch over the actions of lesser beings. Even the weaker beings will join in the Justice Faction or the Evil/Villain Faction. The members themselves can support whatever side they want or even remain completely neutral if they wish." Hearing my words they began to memorize the information even faster than before. 'Doesn't that mean they could become our enemies at any moment?!'
"What I want you to use this information for is so that in the future if given the chance you could perhaps become friends with or even allies with a member of the faction. And do not worry, just because it's a 'Faction' doesn't mean it's members are all friends. So if you manage to make an enemy of one it doesn't apply to them all. Even some of my teachers and friends are apart of the faction like myself."
"""".....""""
"OOH!" Realizing what I just said I look back at the girls.
Giving a quick explenation I nod and say "Yeah. Over the years Ive grown in power myself quite well." Of course I had a haughty smile while pointing my thumb to my face to show off.
"How?" Weiss broke the awkward silence.
Shrugging my shoulders I couldn't find any other way to explain myself than "I grew strong enough... At my strongest I can level a small country in a matter of hours... Though even with that I can only be considered apart of the outer ring of the God Faction, most of the real powerful beings can snap their fingers and erase a Universe. Most of those strong members also cultivate in Divine Energy, something I haven't grasped yet."
The explenation shocked them to their very core. Not only was 'I' able to destroy an entire country when I go all out. The truly powerful Gods can wipe them out like nothing... Yet many of such beings are residing on the planet, why is that? They found no answer to this question. And so, the fear they felt only grew as they questioned on and on.
...
Silence pervaded once again.
Nobody talked.
Looking around the room, Ruby thought out loud "Will any of them be that powerful?" She pointed to the crowd around us. "Will I every be that strong?" Staring down at her hands she questioned herself.
Placing my hand on her head I gave a reassuring pat.
"Many beings here do indeed have both the Talent and Luck required to become very powerful in their own right. But don't fret, I can see that one day in the future all four of you will shock this world." A smile amerged on my face, yet it seemed rather off compared to earlier.
...
Waving my right arm outward I felt a slight bit of resistnce and then I could hear many foreign sounds. The barrier was broken by my hand.
Listening to the voices of the surrounding students the girls decided to chat amongst themselves before bed.
They all wanted to cool down and stop stressing out on the 'what if's'.
Wanting me to join them they asked me and I declined and decided to head for the balcony nearby. There I could be alone for a time.
...
Feeling the cool wind breeze as it glides off my skin and through my hair was an undeniable small pleasure that helped me calm my mind, I almost felt like drifting off into a sleep where I stood.
The night was deep and dark, the sounds were nonexistant and it felt as if I was not where I'am.
I felt almost as if I were home... Wherever that may be.
Perking up my ears a little bit I could hear the sound of familiar footsteps.
Without taking my eyes off the half destroyed moon I called out to the person behind me.
"Yang. Weren't you just helping Ruby with her friend problem? What brings you out here?" My tone was light and amicable, yet a deep seeded lonelyness could be felt from my tone as spoke in an almost dispondant manner.
Picking up on that tone of mine Yang let a smile etch onto her face as she leaned against the railing beside me.
"Darian... I'm not gonna pretend like I know what you've gone through over the years. Nor am I gonna ask about how you know what you know... All that I want is for you to take me, to take Ruby, to take our family seriously and talk to us about what you feel needs to be said. I don't want to lose you like the others." Saying what she wanted to say, Yang waited at the side. She moved her hair behind her ear and let the wind blow the rest freely behind her.
Knowing what she meant by what she said I responded how she wanted "I'm just thinking of Mom. Of Summer. Nothing to serious at the moment, so don't go and worry your pretty little head off over me." Taking my eyes off the moon I lowered my gaze to the ground below the balcony and I stared until I almost remembered evrything below.
"I see... No worries!" Pushing herself back and off the railing Yang turned around and went towards the doors leading inside. Turning back she look me in the eyes and asked "You comin'?"
A sudden smile shot onto my face and I nodded. Going back to the ballroom behind Yang I cleared my mind.
...
The ballroom wasn't as bad as it was half an hour ago but you could tell that not many were keen on an early to bed type of schedule.
Making my way to the girls who were chatting together as once again I began to make my way over.
Though something managed to make itself stand out in my vision.
Looking over at it I discovered that it decided to hide itself behind a pillar off in the corner.
All four of the girls saw my action of diverting my attention away from them and toward the pillar. So they all stood up and kept a moderate distance as they followed behind me.
Approaching the pillar that held up some of the second floor I squatted down to the ground, letting one knee touch the floor while the other helped with my balance.
Seeing that I stopped moving and crouched down, the girls decided to follow suit and watch the pillar for movement after squatting.
Not even a few moments after they began to observe, movement was made.
Out from behind the shadow of the pillar popped a small head, the head was wearing a small black and red hat that had a golden decoration covering the front, it had very nice brown hair that stretched almost to its feet, the face was probably the most strange looking thing about the little figure as it was rather... cartoonish?
Seeing that it was myself who approached it, the little figure stretched out even more of its body, it left only its hands attached to the pillar as if waiting to drag itself behind it at anytime. It reminded me of how Tony-tony Chopper tried to hide himself in One-Piece.
Getting a better look at its clothing the little figure was wearing what seemed to be a set of officer's clothing; it consisted of a black clothing that was donned with golden buttons, a red and gold belt while around its neck hung a red cape like what Ruby is usually found wearing and to keep the hood in place was a golden 'trinket?' I don't know what it is.
Opening its mouth just enough to speak all that could be heard from it speaking was "Nobu?"
A somewhat quizzical look washed over my face as a wry smile slowly appeared "A Chibi Nobbu has appeared."
Seeing that I knew what it was, the Chibi Nobbu had its face almost light up in excitement.
Quickly it dashed over and placed its arms onto the right knee that supported my body and looked me straight in the face loudly saying (asking?) "NOBU NOBU?" The slight tilt of its head really brought out a cute look.
"SIGH~ Guess I'll have to tell Nobunaga to come and get you later." I thought that this is what the Chibi Nobbu wanted me to do as that would be per usual.
But this one immediatly shook its head very fast "Mm~ NOBU!"
Wait, I think that it doesn't want to go back.
Pointing to myself I asked in an unsure voice "You mean, you want to stay with me?" Even I felt stupid for asking this, I kind doubt it would want to st-
"NOBU!" The Chibi Nobbu flew up and attached itself to my face in record time.
As calm as could be I stood up, placed my hands on both sides of the Chibi Nobbu and - "AH!! IT IS ON MY FACE!!" I began to yell as I tried to detach it from me!
The damn thing won't let go!
Help Me!
This is why I didn't want to approach it!
Help!
Nobunaga, I'll kill you!
Get! Off! Of! Me!
...
Three minutes later and with the help of the four girls who were watching me talk with the Chibi Nobbu I managed to detach it from my face.
Those things remind me of when I was swimming at the bottom of the ocean a year and a half ago. Squids are horrifying when you are a thousand meters underwater.
And yet I still haven't figured out how to detach a Chibi Nobbu from my face? What a disgrace. Good thing my teachers didn't see this or else I'd be laughed at until the next millennia.
After regaining my composure I can see that Ruby was holding the Chibi Nobu in her arms and sat it on her lap. The other girls were just observing the Nobbu and talking between each other.
Seeing that I was coming over all but Ruby who was poking the cheek of the Nobbu looked my way.
Weiss was the first to get out her question "So, what exactly is that thing?" She didn't even look like she wanted to talk anymore than that, she was just baffled by Nobbu's existance that she needed time to let her head cool off.
"Well. To put it bluntly... I have no idea."
The response nearly made them fall over in both shock and annoyance.
Blake chimes in as she recovered the quickest "Wait. Seriously? You looked like you got along with it real well so we thought you would at least know that much." She seemed to be looking for a serious answer, 'like look at it? It doesn't take a scientist to realize what it is.'
But not wanting to sound like a snarky asshole I give my two thoughts "The only thing that comes to mind is that it's part of Oda Nobunaga's conciousness after... he... she... came into contact with a Holy Grail." 'Gender undecided, brain pain very much.' 'Should I say she for the reincarnation as a servant or he for the past life?'
'My head hurts!'
"Anyway I think you can almost consider her like the Gary Clones from Fallout 3. So she kinda has a speech impediment like that." Going on more with the explanation I use a reference that my sisters will realize and a quick internet result will pop up if searched.
But who knew that I'd be stopped "Wait! Hold it!" By Yang.
Giving me a stink eye she crossed her arms and spoke in angry tone of voice "Don't bring up such a trauma again Darian." Listening to her I backed up a few steps and swore not to talk about the Gary clones from then on.
Yang is scary when she gets angry. I don't want a punch to the face and a knee to the crotch.
Blake swings back in with "So the reason that it get along with you real well is?" She seemed genuinely curious at my relation with the little Nobbu.
Shrugging my shoulders I told her outright "Oh that? Nobunaga and I are kinda like friends now. So these little guys flock to me whenever I meet them." Saying as such I pull a chocolate bar out my back pocket and hand it over to the Chibi Nobbu. Taking the chocolate it yelled out "NOBU!" And dug right on in.
Part number two of the questionnaire "By the way, what's a Holy Grail." Was asked by Blake.
Troubled by the question I ended up with a wry smile and my hand to the back of my head, all I could say was "Some sort of magical weapon or something. I never really bothered to figure it out." I spoke some truth and some lie. Only enough not to see in-between the lines.
But accepting as she is, Blake took my answer as it is "Oh okay... So why is one of them at Beacon?"
Scratching the back of my head and even my chin, I was left wondering just that myself.
But of course a simple answer would be "The only thing that I figured out is that this little Nobbu doesn't want to go back to Nobunaga. Guess they got into a fight or something. I'll just tell Nobunaga about it later." Saying taht I responded with a satasfactory answer.
Wiess was busy poking the cheek of the Nobbu when she asked about it's name "So its called a Nobbu?" Continuing on with the poking she didn't even look my way.
A sweat frop could almost be seen sliding down the back of my head as she disregarded me.
"Actually, we call them Chibi Nobbu. Just so that Nobunaga doesn't think were talking about... her." 'Guess this should be fine for now.'
Hearing me, I swore that the girls seemed to have their ears jump slightly. But I'm sure I was just overthinking it.
"Well anyway. This little one will be with us for a while. I hope you don't mind if she sleeps with you tonight Ruby." Taking the chance I shoved responsibility of the little one onto Ruby as fast as I could.
But still thinking about it, it would be best for me to sleep beside Ruby incase the Nobbu wants to take the chance to escape.
"No problem!" Ruby almost jumped up from where she sat and almost ended up on the floor instead. She held tightly onto the cute little Nobbu as if unwilling to let go.
Knowing that Ruby and the girls have taken a liking to the little thing, I place down a futon and prepare to sleep. "Alright then. I'll also get some sleep then. Been a few days since I last slept."
Long day ahead of everyone tommorow.
I don't have an excuse... I don't even want to think of one.
I just took my time and didn't feel like putting out a chapter.
So here is a slightly longer than normal one to compensate. I guess.
Now if you don't mind, I'm gonna get back to hating myself again as I try to push out the next chapter as soon as possible.
Thanks for reading. - DabanCrow
