The stadium was loud with a scream. The building was shaking because of the heat and the excitement inside. The cheer and the yell were coming all over the place even after witnessing their races were beaten by the humans; the race they hated as much. 

Nonetheless, merfolks were used to step on the weakling. The principle of the merfolk was the strong rule of the weak. Respect must be earned even if it means to the enemy.

They did live up to their motto surprisingly well. Their desire to monopolize the weak blinded their own eyes. Hence, the reason why the ruler of the kingdom constantly changed.

However, for the first time in their history, the current ruler managed to pass down the throne to their own descendants, regardless of their genders. The current king's descendant used to be an outlaw. They were living outside the kingdom before they invaded it and overthrew the old ruler.
