Catastrophic Change
"How bad?" she asked, frowning.
"Catastrophic," Qrir replied, walking up to her and handing her the space suit.
Sarah hesitated to grab the equipment, wondering what that meant for her and Jhonny.
"Remember how I said we had to call out to the Tamarain and declare the human ship that had appeared in our star system? Well, we expected them to take their time getting here, since we are not an important planet in their schemes," Qrir explained, pushing the suit into Sarah's arms.
"It seems we were wrong in our estimates. What we thought would be a week-long wait just turned into no wait at all. Our star observers just spotted a Tamarain ship arriving at the edge of the star system…"
Sarah's heart skipped a beat as she realized the gravity of the situation.
