A loss

At the parking space inside the mall:

Two glowing red eyes were staring at Siyam from the darkness ,

Siyam slowly took out his gun from his waist and held his knife on the other hand and started walking forward.

* Come out if you wanna have a meal *

Siyam shouted,

The Glowing eyes started to get closer and when it reached the light ,a thin figure with long nails and a long tongue hanging from it's mouth could be seen ,It had blood dripping from its nails and tongue. It looked like a new kind of zombie .

" GRRRRR"

It roared in a low voice and then started to pick up it's pace from walking to running fastly.

Reaching five meters away from Siyam it lifted it's right arm in a slashing manner as to strike it's prey .

*BANG*

Siyam shot at its chest and blood started splurting out of him. The zombie didn't slowed down and just one metre away from Siyam it jumped towards him , A chill had gone down his spine, his mind yelling to get out of the way.

* BANG*

Another shot blew the zombie's head from just a feet away , and it fell down with a clean hole in its forehead .

*THUD*

Siyam fell on it's knees as the scene he had just witnessed was too terrific of his throat being chopped off in a matter of seconds by the zombie's long claws if he missed the shot .

Everyone got out of the car as they saw the zombie fell down after being shot .Bella approached Siyam while he was getting up ,

" You okay?" Bella asked,

" Yeah just wanna making you under me for a whole night to get my mind at ease" Siyam answered with a smile, but his legs were still shaking from the near death experience he had a moment ago ,

" So where is Nick ?" Jade asked Siyam as she saw him standing up , He didn't answered as he saw Tina walked towards the darkness where the monster had came out , and after reaching there she turned on her mobiles flash light and she fell on her knees and started crying ,

" You got your answer " Siyam said and walked towards Tina ,

After he got close he saw some bodies placed over each other and Nick's and Tina's daughter Emily's dead bodies were laying on the floor with their throat's split opened, theirs bodies were now covered in blood .

Siyam went towards Nick and started to take the gun and ammo out of his pockets . Bella and Jade approached them and also fell on the ground seeing the people that were living in front of their eyes dead now laying inside a pool of blood .

" The gun shots would have caused the nearby zombies to attract here so we should burn the bodies and leave " Siyam said with a petrol can held in his hands, he found it inside the car's trunk .

Then he poured the petrol on the bodies and burned them.They stayed there for sometime to say their last prayers towards the dead.

*I'll take care of her, Farewell Old friend *

Siyam said and walked back with a sad face .Nick was his childhood friend so it meant a lot for Siyam to loose him suddenly but he understood the world they were in now and didn't placed the blame on anyone.

Bella and Jade comforted Tina as they walked back towards the car .Tina then held the metal pipe in her hand and started to smash the dead monsters head until it became a skull and brain paste .

Everyone saw her act and Bella tried to stop her but was stopped by Siyam .

" Let her take out her anger "

He said while watching her ,

Then Tina walked back towards them ,Bella and Jade approached her to make her feel better but she refused any sympathy from anyone .

*She was only my step daughter *

She said with a cold tone and went inside the car. Everyone became quite, Siyam went towards the dead monster to give it a final look .

As he approached, the brain paste which Tina made on the floor his eyes went towards something shining inside the filthy brain paste .He sat down and took the shining material out of the squashed brain and placed it inside his pocket without further inspection as he heard Bella calling him from inside the car .

He went and sat inside the car and just sat there without turning it on , everyone didn't payed much attention as they were too much traumatized from the deaths of Nick and Emily .

"It's a loss ,I know but you have to forgive yourself and live the best of what you have left " Siyam said as he watched Tina who was sitting in the front seat beside him staring blankly at the front .

" Thanks " Tina replied with an uneven tone accompanied by a forced smile ,

" It's no use to hide it, you can cry it's okay thinks of us as your family "Siyam replied while looking in her eyes ,

Tina lunged over Siyam and started to cry like a baby for fifteen minutes and then went back to her seat with a teary face and closed her eyes .She was exhausted from all the trauma she had received from Emily's death .It was obvious that she had taken care for the girl like her own daughter.

" Okay to be honest I don't have anything in my mind from on here .Anybody has any ideas of going anywhere ?" Siyam asked them for opinions ,

" Let's go home " Bella replied ,

" You wanna travel 30 km in these roughed up roads filled with zombies " Siyam replied with a sarcastic tone ,

" My husband had a house in the society near the next street. It's just a five minutes drive " Tina said and then started to explain the directions and the structure of the house after Siyam asked .

Everyone agreed on going there.

*Bzzz* Bzzz*

Siyam's backpack started to ring suddenly ,

He opened it and took out a large phone and turned it on ,

*Yeah man what's up *

Siyam answered it ,

"We're coming towards the parking area of the mall which floor are you at? " A deep voice answered over the satellite phone ,

" I'm sitting inside the parking area .Care to tell me why are you guys heading here ?" Siyam replied,

" Okay that's great, I'll meet you there it's just that we've got a tiny problem " The phone hung ,while everyone staring at Siyam looking for some answers of who was arriving ,

" My friends are coming I don't know the reason but it's a good thing if we have more people, We'll just wait for them and after they arrive we will go back to the third floor to get some more food " Siyam explained to which everyone just nodded blankly .

Then they covered the windows of the car with window curtains and they closed their eyes to get some rest for a while .
