Ji-soo was unconscious for over twenty minutes in the recovery room where she had been brought to recover.
Thankfully guardians regenerate quickly and don't feel as much pain as humans do.
She opened her eyes and tried to slowly sit up.
" Ouch " She cried softly when she tried to stand up but a sharp pain in her head pulled her back to the bed.
The door creaked open and a familiar face came in with an expressionless face. Yoorim walked towards the bed Ji-soo sat on with her hands crossed behind her back.
"Are you okay now? " she asked with a hint of worry and concern in her voice though she kept a straight face.
Ji-soo could feel that she was sincerely concerned.
" Yes I am but I can't really remember what happened out there, it's all in bit and bits and my head hurts " She answered in a low voice while holding her head with both hands.
" Don't worry you'll be fine. I'll tell Jeong-yeong about this and ask for a concoction for you, it will help you recover faster"
" You know, you were not bad out there. I have to say I was really impressed" Yoorim expressed while she joined Ji-soo on the bed and smiled.
" Really? " Ji-soo asked with a high pitched voice while looking at her.
It was the first time Ji-soo had seen her up close like this smiling and she was really pretty. Her auburn hair was tied up in a messy bun and the loose strands scattered across her face made her look extremely breathtaking.
Her brown eyes shone brightly in the sunlight, her enchanting cat eyes and long thick lashes were so captivating that Ji-soo just couldn't stop looking.
The smile on her face revealed a little dimple on her left cheek.
Oh wow Ji-soo was ultimately stunned by her beauty.
" So I was thinking can we be friends" She asked jolting Ji-soo back to reality.
She extended a handshake to Ji-soo who now had a beaming smile on her face.
" Oh I'd love to " Ji-soo replied hastily and took her hands for a shake.
Yoorim stared at her for a moment while shaking her hand and pulled her in for a hug.
Ji-soo's eyes widened, she didn't realize she was holding her breath until Yoorim pulled back and she heaved a deep breath.
It was silent for a while then both of the burst into laughter.
The duo spent the whole afternoon chatting and laughing until it was getting dark and they had to head back to the dormitory.
At the dorm, everyone stayed in a room of twos but Ji-soo was the only one in her room owing to the fact that she was the last person to resume duty in Deungdae and that she had not been really good at making friends since she arrived.
They walked back to their dorm through the largen garden with talk trees and beautiful flowers arranged on a straight line along the walk path, it was beautiful.
" I was thinking, would you like to move into my room with me? " Ji-soo asked Yoorim with her head bent while kicking against the leaves that flooded the walk path.
Yoorim turned to look at Ji-soo who was playing with the leaves like a child.
" She looks cute" she thought to herself and smiled.
" No I don't want to move in with you " Yoorim replied in a rather harsh tone.
Ji-soo was taken aback by her reply, she felt a chilling wave of sadness wash through her.
What was she thinking, they had only just become friends today.
" Oh okay " she said feeling slightly embarrassed.
She hastened her footsteps and the remaining walk was silent all through until they arrived at the dorm's large door.
Ji-soo reached for the door knob when Yoorim held her hand back.
" Is that it? " Yoorim asked teasingly
" Is that what " Ji-soo replied
" So you were just going to give up if I said no " Yoorim further inquired and laughed harder.
" You're so easy to fool "
" Well I..I..." Ji-soo stuttered
" I'll move in by weekends happy? " Yoorim suggested and patted Ji-soo on the head.
" Really are you serious? " Ji-soo replied with her voice filled with enthusiasm.
" Yes so cheer up, turn that frown upside down and prepare for tomorrow's task okay? now move it " Yoorim jokingly said and pushed Ji-soo towards her room before they finally parting ways.
