After Rufus left with the slaves, Vexen checked his quest tab.

(Slaughtering the Bloodsuckers / New Family)

[Many have suffered by the hands of the bloodsuckers. Now it is time for them to suffer. You must slaughter every single vampire in Valenhurst, and then devour them all. Not a single vampire must make it out alive. You must save your friend Rufus, and turn him using the Ritual of Rebirth.(optional): You can chose to save the slaves in Valenhurst. Doing so will give you an additional reward based on how many you save.]

The only vampire left was Lord Hugh Loralles himself, and Vexen already knew where to find him.

As Vexen walked through the eerily silent streets of Valenhurst, he admired the carnage he had caused. There were corpses littering the streets as far as the eye could see, and Vexen didn't even have a hint of guilt, because he knew that they were the real monsters, they were the ones who killed not just his parents, but the parents of every single kid that they had enslaved.

The vampires were the real monsters, not him, and he wouldn't stop until every single vampire was devoured by himself, and Rufus.

Vexen knew he would be seen as a monster to some, but he thought of himself as a necessary one, one that was needed to make the vampires go extinct.

He won't care about anyone's opinions, because in the end, The vampires must die.

As he was walking, he was also collecting all the souls that littered the city, so that he could use them later, after he collected the souls, he had a total of 327 able to be used at any time he wanted.

Vexen decided to save the souls for later in case he needed them, as he arrived at the location where he would utterly destroy the vampire lord.
