Plant Mage

As the kids celebrated around their classmate, Old Wang tried to recall the spell he saw while comparing notes he knew about another spell. 'Black Water Ball? No, it couldn't be. I'm sure that was a Heavy Water Ball.'

After confirming the real identity of the spell the child casted, the old man felt astonished.

Despite being a SS rank Sage leading the education of the Boln Federation for the past 40 years, this was Old Wang's first time witnessing a child no older than 8 years old cast advanced magic this easily.

After the young boy Jackal was a little girl by the name of Alice from the same class.

Holding her hands together in front of her, Alice lightly blew into her hands before scattering small orbs of light towards the wooden target.

"Hm? I don't recognize this spell? Miss Emelyn, is that girl a healer?" Old Wang asked.

"Alice? No, she's a plant mage. Please be patient since Alice's spells are rather slow."

"Slow how?"

"Boom!" Before Old Wang could finish digesting Miss Em's advice, a loud explosion occurred.

And when he turned towards the sound of the explosion, Old Wang was shocked to find that the entire wooden target was blown up into bits.

"Th…Th…That was Pollen Bomb! An advanced plant magic only Druids are able to use!" The old man exclaimed loudly. When he did so though, everybody else was looking at him like he lost his mind.

Seeing the looks of the teachers' and students' faces, Old Wang quickly readjusted his emotions.

Following that, he started to recall the theory of the Pollen Bomb, just in case anyone present did not know about it.

"When one of the light orbs made contact with the wooden sign, without any warning, all other orbs of light started gathering towards the first orb of light before they started to compress into a denser orb of light. When the orb of light reaches its densest state, the outer layer of the orb breaks away to allow the inner layer to explode. Was that not the case here?" [Old Wang]

"Yeah...that is the correct theory for the magic casted, but…" [Jackal]

"But?" [Old Wang]

"But our teacher told us that the magic Alice used just now is called Light Pollen. We don't know any magic called Pollen Bomb." [Alice]

"Light Pollen? I've never heard of that magic before? Which teacher taught you this spell?"

"Our class teacher, Mr. Ryuda." The students of class 1B replied in unison.

"..." [Old wang]

3 hours later…

Although Old Wang felt that it was a little strange that the children were calling the spells incorrect names, he decided to put this matter aside as he marveled at the talented children.

"In all my years of teaching, I have yet to witness a class filled with this many geniuses!" The old man praised.

"Thank you so much for your generous praise, Old wang. We couldn't have achieved this level if it weren't for Sir Ryuda's teachings." The headmaster said.

"Ryuda again? Oof, I've been hearing this name for quite some time now so I've been meaning to ask…who is this Ryuda?"

"My bad, my bad. I mentioned the town having an S-rank but I forgot to mention the person's name. Sir Ryuda, or his full name, Ryuda Chaos, is our town's S-rank Teacher. Besides that, he's also the town's mechanic, army instructor and herbalist."

"Are those his classes, or…?"

Besides Teacher being his main class, he works as a mechanic and herbalist to ease the lives of the people here.

"His inventions and medicine work wonders, I tell ya!"

When talking about Ryuda and his contributions to the town these past few years, the children's eyes sparkled while the adults nodded in satisfaction.

Old Wang took note of this but made no further comment about it.

Considering that Asclepius was a moderate sized town at the very east of the Boln Federation, Old Wang felt that it was normal for the townsfolk to view an S-rank Teacher as their role model.

But since this Ryuda person's class was only teacher, if a demon beast stronger than grade 5 were to cause havoc to the town, he'd be powerless to help.

Although it is considered a wonder for someone to reach S-rank despite still retaining their origin class, in an actual confrontation with a higher class person, Ryuda would surely lose no matter the circumstances.

Very soon, target shooting ended. Headmaster Judas remained calm whereas Old Wang was jumping excitedly every time a 7 or 8 year old casted a high level spell disguised as a basic spell.

Old Wang felt that this trip to the countryside was extremely worth it as he got to witness so many advanced magic spells being used as basic spells while also praising the teacher that taught the children those spells.

'If Headmaster Judas would allow me to bring along a teacher along with the children to the capital, I would definitely choose that S-rank Teacher, Ryuda! His method of teaching is simply too superb for him to be a mere teacher in this rural town. While we are at it, I might just help advance his class since it will give him a massive stat boost. Yeah, let's do that!' [Old Wang]

When the 2nd event was about to start however, a familiar figure could be seen walking out of the school building.

Ryuda was just about to deal with a problem when he accidentally mind read the thoughts of Wang Xuanlu just now.

Hearing how the old sage wanted to take away his students, he couldn't help but feel annoyed since the academy didn't ask for his permission.

Nevertheless, Ryuda remained cheerful as he went to greet his fellow colleagues along with the headmaster.

The students of class 1B too, cheered loudly as they rushed to greet their class teacher with smiles.
