the jublive city tournament begins.

We entered the poketch company HQ and we Were greeted by a man who was willing to sell us a pokétch but the price was that we had to compete in the jublive city tournament sponsored by the pokétch company that was selling a brand new model pokétch.

Of course the prize for the the three in the winners circle would be the new model as reward plus a money prize for the winner.

" Sounds fair okay well compete right dawn?" I asked her.

" Right Leroy," dawn replied.

We arrived at the battle field area where the tournament would take place it was a small battle field surrounded by bleachers similar to that of a soccer field in a local park,

" That's original," I said remarking on the park.

I noticed that Barry along with Paul who had caught an eyelid to replace the chimchar I took from him was amongst the competition along with a few youngsters,

" Now for the special guest of today's tournament give it up for Cynthia the champion of the sinnoh region Pokemon League." Said the announcer

A beautiful blonde woman in a black dress came out of the guest box.

" You are here today to test yourselves against one another to determine who is worthy of being a trainer this competition is meant to see who has what it takes to be a great Pokémon trainer and who still needs improvement so have fun and do your best." Said Cynthia.

" Okay now without further to do the first match is between Leroy Jackson and youngster Sammy." Said the announcer.

I stood at the red side of the battle field it was 110 length by 70 width that's about the size of most soccer fields or as the Europeans call it football anyway it was pretty big.

I called out my starter.

" Let's do it jet!" I said as I turned my hat backwards yes I had the standard outfit of the original Pokemon trainer except it was a red hat black shirt red vest and black pants with black shoes and red gloves with studs.

The little ursa stepped out from my side and came to face the youngster.

Sammy pulled a poké ball from his waist belt and sent it out.

" Go budew!" Said Sammy.

I scanned it .

{ Bewdew,the flower bud,Pokemon level 9 gender female, attacks astonish, Leech seed, vine whip and stun poor.}

' damn he's got some good attacks I'll give him credit but.'

Jet use endure then go for a rock smash.

{ Right!} Jet said

And the pokémon rushed bewdew who had set up a leech seed.

" Now jet use the rock smash now!" I shouted.

{ Don't need to tell me twice!} Said jet who landed a powerful right hook to the enemy pokémon.

The punch hit her with full power and knocked her ass out from here to kingdom come,

Budew fainted.

" Go machop let's show him how to really fight! " Said youngster Sammy.

The small blue muscle Pokemon stood his ground assuming a fighting stance and jet did so as well.

" Okay let's show him who the real master is!" I said and jet came at machop.

Machop went for a left hook but jet chopped him in the arm and got em with back fist machop landed a powerful karate chop but jet countered with a crossover into a powerful punch to the gut before landing a punch to the chin then ending with a shoryuken style Dragon Uppercut.

{ Jet has learned sky uppercut.} Chimed the system.

' heh all that training paid off.' I thought.

Machop came at jet with a combination of punches but jet parried each punch with his wrist and forearms before jabing the machop in the lip with a corkscrew blow then the machop threw a spear hand at jet who shifted right while he parried the hand pushing it to the side of his head while crossing his footwork over with machop's and holding his free hand level with the machop's Chest.

" Do it!" I shouted.

{ Channaro!} Shouted jet as he executed the one inch punch,

the punch sent the force of the male kubfu's weight through the machop's core and knocked him out.

" Oh no I'm out of Pokémon." Said Sammy.

" Comeback jet you've done enough." I said.

Jet was covered in bruises from the battle with the machop,good thing I made sure to teach him some of the sticky hands method from shoren kenpo or else he'd be done for as for that one inch punch I taught him that since the technique is used In most Asian martial arts although it's mainly affiliated with wing Chun,it's is also used in both shoren kenpo and shotokan as well.

After my battle I watched dawns battle with Paul.

Paul had replaced his chimchar with a magby the funny thing was dawn also had a magby but for now she called upon her starter piplup, the two pokemon squared off piplup attacked magby with a bubble beam and magby countered with its ember then piplup used quick attack plus peck as it moved fast dashing through the battlefield before spearing its beak into the magby with sudden force the magby stood it's ground and used a series of rapid scratches at piplup but piplup had been training with my Pokemon as well and so piplup grabbed the magby by its neck threw it to the ground then landed a rolling elbow drop to its back.

Magby lost.

" Tch still needs work." Said Paul.

" Awright dawn you won the first round." I cheered.

" Still two to go." Said Paul.

" Come on out cranados!" Said Paul.

" Okay return piplup and go pachirisu!" Said dawn.

' piplup would've been perfect for dealing with cranidos but pachirisu may have a chance cranidos is a ground type and by fact resistant to electric types but pachirisu has a unique power to him he can in fact utilize the discharge about as powerful as Ash's Pikachu which is one of the strongest of it's kind plus pachirisu recently learned iron tail.

" Go pachirisu use thunder shock!" Shouted dawn.

" Pachi-ri-suuuuu!" Shouted the electric squirrel Pokemon and blasted cranidos with the bolt dispute it's resistance the enemy was stunned giving dawn the perfect opportunity to land an iron tail however cranidos countered with a head butt and knocked pachirisu out.

" Heh maybe you should think before using your Pokemon." Said Paul.

" Yeah well maybe you should learn to value yours." Said Dawn since I had told her about him being a Pokemon abuser.

They the. Sent out their last two pokemon pails was his shinx and dawns was her magby.

" What?" Said Paul.

" Heh your not the only one." Said dawn.

" Now go magby use fire wheel!!!" Said dawn and magby shot off a fire wheel at shinx ending in a one hot knockout.

Winner dawn.

" Hmph I need to train more." Said Paul as he started to walk off then turned around.

" Just so you know, you only won because you have that jerk Leroy as emotional support,face me by yourself sometime." Said Paul.

After that he left.

Dawn came over to me clearly upset.

" Leroy am I using you like a crutch?" Asked dawn.

" Don't listen to that guy, it's easy for him to bully others than to grow stronger himself; And you have to realize you did win two outta three even without my help." I consold her while also praising her.

Dawn with newfound motivation would move on towards the semifinals.

Barry was next he would face a random npc trainer and win albeit without having to use more than one Pokemon since his opponent was a newbie who got cocky.

And finally the last match was between professor Rowan's assistant Lucas and a boy named Leo.

" Alright go my chimchar!" Said Lucas as he called out the Pokemon.

Lucas has a chimchar as well I see,

but that's okay, since chimchar aren't limited to one in this world and they can be found and caught wildly, besides Paul's was a wild chimchar not a starter from professor Rowan.

I'd be Damned if rowan trusted one of his starters to that dickhead.

" Go staravia!" Said the Leo.

I scanned the staravia.

{ Staravia the large flying/bird pokemon Lvl 16 attacks drill peck, gust, swift,and tailwind, abilities are fly tornado and razor claws,}

This may be difficult for Lucas.

" Staravia go strike his chimchar down with drill peck!" Said Leo.

" Now chimchar use flame thrower!" Shouted Lucas.

" What!" Said Leo.

' if chimchar has flame thrower it means it wasn't ready to Evolve, yet still has its stronger forms attacks.' I thought remembering that this world revolves around anime logic and not game logic.

As a result chimchar burned the staravia so it could land the finishing blow a super man punch.

The battle continued with Leo calling out a bunnary and Lucas a poochyana,

" Hmm a rabbit versus a wolf let's see what will happen?" I thought.

Bunnery went for a powerful tackle and poochyana used a bite he chomped down on that rabbit and knocked it unconscious.

' knew it.' I thought

finally Lucas would call back poochyana

and send out a beautifly while leo would send out a tyrouge.

Tyrouge would go for a powerful flying kick but beautyfly would soar into the air and release powder that put the fighter to sleep.

" Lucas wins!" Said the announcer.

I scanned each of his Pokemon his chimchar was at lvl 17, his poochyana was at lvl 12 and his beautyfly was at lvl 18.

After that the semifinalists would be determined I would face Lucas, dawn would face barry, and the winners would face each other.

my biggest problem would be that beautyfly, fortunately I managed to stock up on sleep awakes from the poké mart in the previous town.

" here we go." I thought
