Blaze's POV:
I'm falling, the ground has shifted beneath my feet and air rushing past my face is the only thing I feel. Then BAM, I awaken with a start. I look around and see that I have fallen out of my bed and onto the floor, again. I groan and look up to see my wolf Pyro 'laughing' at me.
"Oh yeah laugh it up. I'd like to see you fall as graceful as I can" I said matter-of-factly while I was picking myself up from the floor. Pyro just snorts and rolls his eyes. I reply with a roll of mine and stumble over to my closet door. I look up at the calendar and see that it was Tuesday. Ugh, Friday where you at!?
I chuckle and head into my large closet, which was stock full of clothes thanks to my aunt Adaline. She's been taking care of me ever since my parents had to leave a few years ago.
I'm just glad they could still come and see me every other weekend. I love them and understand why they are busy, but I'm their kid! How could they just leave, and be fine with only seeing me 24 times a year!? 48 days out of 365 days a year. I go 317 days a year without seeing them, it sucks.
I sigh and pick out a pair of black leggings, a teal tank top, my lovely black leather jacket, and knee-high black boots. As you can see I like to wear black, although I'm not goth or anything. (***no offense if you are goth tho!***)
I go to my bathroom that, yes, is connected to my room. I walk over to the shower and turn the hot water on, adding just a bit of cold water. I make sure it's perfect, then I walk over to my make-up counter and sit my clothes down on my black fuzzy stool.
I jump into the shower after stripping and began to wash my hair with my strawberry-scented shampoo. As I continued to wash, I began daydreaming about finding my mate. In three days it's going to be my 16th birthday, which is supposed to be the best day of my life.
The only reason it's not is that after I turn 16 my parents will stop visiting and I won't see them again until I turn 18. I was startled out of my thoughts when there was a banging on the door.
"Blaze I know we moved out of the packhouse, but that doesn't mean you can stay in the shower for two years!" My aunt yelled through the door. I chuckled and cut off the water, stepping out of the shower.
"Calm down Aunt Adie, I'm getting out now" I could almost hear her smile when I called her by the nickname I made up for her when I was little.
When I began getting dressed I heard her walking away. Soon after, I heard scratching at my door. "Pyro calm down! I'll feed you when I get out!" I laughed.
He just whined in response and plopped down outside my door, causing me to grin. I finished dressing and sat down on my fuzzy stool, to do my make-up.
Today I decided to wear silver eyeshadow, mascara, and red lipstick. All of this made my gold/orange eyes pop. I stood up to look at myself in my full-length mirror.
I have an hourglass-shaped body, wavy black hair that comes down to my waist, sparkling gold/orange eyes, freckles dotted across my small nose, and slightly pointed ears.
I smiled at my reflection and finally left the bathroom. I, again, chuckled when I found Pyro outside my bathroom door. When he saw me his eyes went wide and filled with an emotion I couldn't decipher, it was soon gone and he ran out the door. I shrugged it off, he was probably hungry.
I followed him out the door and made my way downstairs. As I went down I began to think of the reason we moved. My aunt and I moved out of the packhouse because 'it wasn't a place to raise a lady', those were my aunt's words, not mine, the day we moved.
I honestly didn't mind it, we have a lot more privacy here. Although the packhouse is like a 3-minute walk away.
As I stepped off the last step I sniffed the air. Snickerdoodles!!! I ran into the kitchen to see my aunt grabbing a freshly baked pan of my favorite cookies out of the oven.
I went to grab one but Adaline slapped my hand away. "Wait for them to cool, you could burn yourself" she warned. I rolled my eyes and sat down at the bar, watching them intently. I jumped when I felt a nudge on my leg.
I look down to see Pyro looking at me with a pointed look. "Ugh ok, ill get you your food, you dog" I groaned but made my way to the pantry. I heard him growl at my dog comment. I just threw him a smile over my shoulder.
I searched through the pantry until I found a box of dried-out pig meat. I threw Pyro a big slice and put the box back. I sat down at the bar and went back to watching the cookies.
Wait, Adaline only makes me my favorite cookies when she's hiding something. I stood up and went to the fridge, I grabbed an apple and turned around to see Adaline standing there.
I jumped and almost lost my apple. "I thought you went to the bathroom" I exclaimed while grabbing a cookie. She just chuckled and looked at me with a guilty look in her eyes.
"What's up with you? What secret are you hiding?" I ask bluntly. She just gives me an innocent look and stays silent. I give her my deadliest glare and watch her shudder. I begin to munch on my cookie, taking turns between both the apple and the cookie.
"Ok, ok. Ease up on the glare will ya! Um, yourmotherwantsyoutogoseehersisterSapphiria" she blurted out fastly. "Uh, can you repeat that last part?"
"Your mother wants you to go see her sister Sapphiria. She thinks it would do you some good to get away from this place for a while" she said slowly.
That would be nice I guess, "ok, when do I leave". She looked stunned but snapped out of it quickly. "Uhm I guess now".
It was my turn to look stunned. Wow. I finished my cookie and apple soon after. I nodded and ran up into my room to start to pack. I hope this all turns out good.
At that point in time, I didn't know that this trip would change my whole life. That It would change my destiny. If only I fought to stay home. Maybe then I would have had a chance at a normal life.
But no, I was thrown into a deep lake and had no idea how to swim. My only option was to drown.
