Chapter 255: 9 lives isn't enough

"I never seen or heard about a powerful person before" it commented "Even that Karen girl won't be able to fight an ability with such a big range, I assume the rain was caused by you too?"

"Yup, it'll allow me to freeze things faster, you have nine lives, right? How many times did the lightning strike kill you just now?"

"...you even know of that. You are no ordinary boy" it chuckled "3 would be the answer to your question"

"Having 9 lives isn't going to save you since you're going to need more than that, besides...if I erase your body completely, you'll have no body to regenerate from, killing you instantly"

It didn't say anything and flies towards me, I use metal magic to create iron lances in the air and shot it towards the special at high speed, it dodged, but the lance made a hole in its wings before the other lances strike its body, piercing it several times as it dies.

It is no longer regenerating after I killed it several times with my bonds reported that they've also killed the other specials with no problems.

-Me and Eliza killed the shapeshifter- Ace reported

-Good, now let's kill all the gorgers, leave some for the military to clean up, I've also got a few people in the military that I want to kill-

Karen isn't having that bad of a time in her cell, it was nice and her comrades can visit her at any moment. But in a blink of an eye, she and several of her comrades that she recognize are now strapped by metal ropes in an abandoned warehouse.

What's scary is that all those comrades she recognize are fellow worshippers, due to her collar, she can't use her ability to break out, she try to struggle but all the metal ropes then electrocuted her alongside the other worshippers and Perseus appeared out of the shadow revealing his true identity as Grace Leven.

"You were hiding more than one ability?! How?! We checked your blood!" Karen exclaimed "You only have 3"

"Foolish girl, do you seriously attempting an ambush and wiping out some of the strongest soldiers in a few months will do anything?"

"How-how did you know?"

"Just know that I will come out of it alive, but what saddens me was that among your squad, only you didn't come out alive"

"Since when can you see the future?"

"Well let's just say that some of us here experienced them and got to the lowest point of their life, but all of you here will die today, with you all gone and the mission called off, my fate will change"

"What are you on about?!" one of the worshippers shouted

"None of you need to know anything, and no matter what happens today, no one will be able to find your body. Karen, I'll give your squad a painless death now, but trust me, when I see the real them...they're going to know that death isn't something to be scared about, you should be scared of the moments where death is your preferred option instead"

Grace warp back to the house in time and remove his illusion magic and sees a small rolled up piece of paper on the bed.

'You have a week, don't waste it'

But at the bottom of the paper it says something else.

'Your powers will fully be awaken, use it wisely'

A powerful energy can be felt and even attracts the attention of the gods themselves, a presence so powerful yet so soothing lulling them to sleep. Dabria and Elektra themselves descends to check on Perseus' body.

Usually Elektra won't descend down since she works for both sides of the gods who are currently at war, but Zach's base hides them from the others, so she can at least visit him in secret here

Zach tried to come check on what's happening too since he sees that everyone in his organization fall asleep left and right, even he could barely resist not sleeping.

"I can sense that the godly bloodline of both Cordelia and Eliza are starting to awaken" Dabria commented "Though it's weird...I can no longer sense the presence of Dream Eater on him"

"It's now merged with him" Elektra replied "The power of his bloodline and his sword are similar, Hypos predicted this. but now that it's merged, he will be very powerful"

"What's going on?" Zach asked "Who's this slender woman? Based on your looks, you look like what Urie and Draven describe, Elektra, right? Why are you here?"

"Just to see him, Andrius" Elektra answered "And what does my slender looks have to do with anything?"

"Just not mine or Perseus' preference, I mean we love all kind of women, but you're more Benny's type. Though, I like men too" Zach replied "Dabria, on the other hand, still beautiful no matter how many time I see her, definitely Perseus' type"

"Wow, I really should've raised him to choose better friends, they're all perverts"

"I know, try being literally in his head" Dabria grumbled while pointing at Perseus "Though as amazing as his presence now is, Diana's isn't that bad either, she gives off a similar presence to that of the demon lord"

"It seems that he has passed his test" Professor Sophia White chuckled in her office "As my descendant, he will be very strong, after all...even Olympians wouldn't want to mess with me"

"That Hypnos though..." she sighs "To think that he says my bloodline isn't as special as his, he really needs a wake up call"

Since our suit's battery is running low, we refill it using soldier's corpses we found along the way, so sometimes we use the thrusters on the bottom of our feet to go faster.

"And if we somehow reincarnate into a world of fantasy clichés, we'll briefly forget about everything that happens and start narrating our lives like a self centered protagonist"

"Heh, then let's eliminate all the monsters there and create a world where no one will have to fight again" Kenny chuckled

"Well people will still fight against each other, and even if we solve the big problems, we're still going to overlook small problems like thievery and stuff"

"Then we'll let the police force of that world take care of that while we ourselves destroy every villains there is"

"Shut up!" Kelly demanded "You're saying that as if you're really going to die"

"Sorry..." I apologized
