Chapter 183: -bzzt- Emergency meeting

-You seriously going to do this now?- Dabria sighs

-I wasn't even near cams!- Ace responded

We were in an open area for our meeting, and the Cerberus triplets joined us too.

"Well have you all finished moving to our new base in the Victoria continent?" Zach asked as everyone including me confirmed it since we use our underlings to move them for us

"Well since the champions are coming too, that mean Erix can no longer just solo them, do we have to join in?" Maska asked

"Well depends, we don't want to show our strength, especially since we can just avoid the fight since we've already relocated our inventory" Zach answered "But the champions will be here, and they almost match us in strength. Well for now, we'll just send a few foot soldiers alongside Erix and Perseus."

"Why him?" Conall, the middle Cerberus head asked "Isn't he new?"

"Well, one of their executives will be aiming for him after Perseus killed their right hand man, so sending him and his bonds to go fight alongside Erix isn't a bad idea" Zach answered "I don't care about the guardians, but kill the champions that is fighting on the frontlines, they are a big obstacle in order to achieve one of our goal"

"That's fair enough" Erix laughed "You guys can just watch as me and him destroy our attackers"

"Can I ask for why we're doing this?" Alice raised her hands "I mean, if we already relocate all our things, we can just avoid unnecessary bloodshed"

"You see, if we do that..." Zach trailed off before he turned serious "It'll be giving them a free win, they'll spread rumors of how we run away like cowards without them having to give a fight, essentially giving them their first triumphant victory against us"

-More egotistical than I thought- Dabria commented -Every reincarnates shares that trait, apart from Albert-

"Say, how wild can I go?"

"What do you mean?" Gia asked

"Like is there any restrictions of how I kill them?"

"Nope, go ham. You are free to do however you like" Zach answered

I then brought up the topic of Colden's warning, I excluded the fact about us being reincarnates of course, Zach seems to get the hint, but he also looks a bit clueless of why they want the reincarnates.

"Well, we should leave Albert alive, since if there's 3 that they're targeting, then they'll spread their forces more, leaving each of us fewer enemies to fight" I suggested "But it'll probably be a while till it happens, just thought that I should bring it up"

"Yes, we'll think about that later, but thanks for bringing it up" Zach nodded "Well get some rest at our current base for now, because we will have a lot to prepare for the next several days"

The day of the raid has arrived.

3rd person view

"Oh look, they're lined up in front of that cool gate" Liam commented "But man those guys look strong"

"Nothing is impossible" Caleb patted him on the shoulder "We got the best fighters of the continent to do this raid, we'll win easily"

"Calm down you 2" Elliot said "But those champion guys...I feel oddly suspicious about them, they got an odd vendetta against those seekers"

"Well the only reason that they're our allies is using the philosophy of ' the enemy of our enemy is our friend' " Liam responded "Being suspicious is right, there's little information known about that organization"

"I'll stay cautious enough to pull us away if they turn on us, but our kind of corrupteds aren't as strong as theirs" Elliot pointed out " Apparently they got some final form or something, we can't access that power due to the pills we took being much weaker, enough to just evolve our mana core"

"Is it okay to even team up with those guys?" a mage asked "I mean, look at them, a wolf person, beasts, aren't they monsters?"

"Yeah, but we got no choice, that's why some of the guardians made the decision to risk their lives and become a corrupted" mage#2 whispered back "Even though we're slightly inferior, we gotta fight fire with fire, otherwise we'll lose"

1st person view

"Oh that guy is glaring daggers at me?"

It is a pale guy, 180cm tall with black hair, brown eyes, teeth full of fangs while wearing clothes that resembles a stereotypical vampire hunter

"The ghoul?" Damon asked "Yeah, you killed his right hand man after all, so he's out for your blood"

"Draven, is it alright if I kill a fellow ghoul?"

"Go ahead" he shrugged "You're ordered by the boss to kill him anyways, not like I can stop you anyway"

In front of our base, in a far distance, I can see rows of people, it's like a war, except that their army out number us several times over.

"Where's your jacket?" Alice asked "Isn't that your armor?"

"I turned it into this headband" I pointed towards the black headband on my head "I also disable the protection of the armor"

"Why is that?"

"The more I get hurt, the stronger I get, but don't worry, I'll also be using my armor's ability, I won't lose. And this grey shirt that I'm wearing is also made from dragon scales, so it'll provide me with a bit of armor too"

Cordelia is at a tea party with her friends in Neelofar's palace.

"Too bad that you have to settle with us since your trip got cancelled and postpone" One of her friends commented "Your boyfriend sounds like the fun and adventurous type"

"You can say that again" Cordelia sighs "He says that he dreams of being a wealthy slacker, but despite having all the resources at hand, he would donate a portion of it away. Not just that, he doesn't want to slack off yet, at least not until he can eliminate what he consider to stand in the world's way of peace"

"Have you guys done it yet?" her other friend teased "I mean you knew him for a few years already"

"I haven't" Cordelia answered "I'm a princess, why would I do that before marriage?"

"She's lying" One of her friends pointed out

"Yeah, we know you too well, tell us how it happened"
