Chapter 103: A spar

I was helping the teachers check the attendance for the trip to Neelofar, Lucas and Eleanor then approached me

"Oh hey Lucas, haven't seen you in a while, you hair color changing dork"

"You could have just left out the last part" he grumbled "So how's your days as an assistant?"

"Fun, I guess"

"Your dragon and Albert's dragon seems to be very popular among the new beast taming class" Eleanor pointed out

"That's to be expected but I'm surprised that no student got killed for being to annoying yet"

Damon and Aenon was surrounded by a swarm of students and being asked stupid questions.

"That should be it, no absentees, our trip to Lily academy should be smooth"

"By the way, there are rumors that you're dating professor Emma" Lucas elbowed me

"I'm not and don't say that, her brother will kill me if he hears that"

"Well fortunately the rumor isn't that big yet" Eleanor said while sighing in relieve

"Besides he already has a girl in his heart" Diana joined in

"Don't get me started"

-Yes, they're 'just friends'- Ace added

I then handed the 2 attendance list to the Steels.

"You're really joining us, headmaster?"

"Of course, it's a diplomatic visit" he answered "Have you been to their academy?"

"No, I never had the time to, so are all of you ready?"

"Of course, do whatever you have to do" he smiled

I then got out a big crystal that is half my size, I then punched it into bits. A big warp gate then appeared.

"It looks useful to have, so you really can't teach us how to do it?" Professor Steel asked

"If you receive permission from the other side then sure. I'm going in first, it's to tell them to not attack us"

Damon then come to join me by my side

"Make sure they come fast, this gate won't last long" Damon advised as we went in

We then appeared on the other side of the gate, we were greeted by Cordelia, some professors and a lot of guards. Cordelia was wearing some sort of student uniform with her hair in a side ponytail.

"Wow, what an entrance, you didn't really have to come"

"Well I heard a princess is also coming so I thought that since I was free anyway, I'd make an appearance" she replied "You like my uniform? I wore it when I was a student here"

"Sorry to interrupt you 2" A big guy said "You must be the Perseus Silver I heard so much about, I'm Ravine Laguna, the headmaster of Lily academy"

He was about 185cm tall, has blue hair and blue eyes dressed in a big white robe, I then shook his hand.

"Laguna? You 2 are related?"

"Yes, he's my uncle" Cordelia explained

"Sorry little nephew" he winked "I have to go greet your headmaster"

He then went to greet Eleanor and the headmaster and were engaged in a conversation.

"You're not going with him?"

"Do you not like me staying by your side instead?" She asked "I even dressed and made myself look like my past student days"

"Just friends, he says" Damon muttered under his breath

"A spar! What a wonderful idea!" the headmaster laughed "Do you want a spar between the second years or the first years?"

"Let's have one for both, but we'll start with the second years" Ravine answered

"Oh sounds like fun" Cordelia said

"I've been fighting too much these days" I was stretching and doing warm-ups by the side of the arena "And why can we only wear our uniform? They aren't easy to repair"

"I know, well at least it's now a 2 on 2" Albert said as he was stretching alongside me

"Those are our 2 top students" Ravine pointed "One is an orca and the other is a vampire"

Our opponents was a girl with black hair and red eyes, she had fangs pointed out and a guy whose skin was black with white spots, he had small sharp rows of teeth.

The girl was sniffing the air and then looks at me.

"You're one of us" she commented "Well I'm glad that I can meet another fellow vampire here"

Based on that comment, the others started whispering.

"No wonder he drank his opponents blood during a fight" one said

"Yeah and no wonder he's so strong, he wasn't human in the first place" another replied

"Can't vampire charm the opposite gender?" the third asked

"According to the rumors, he's dating professor Emma right? You reckoned he charmed her?" the first one replied

"Guys, I can hear you, you know" I said then the whispering stopped "Besides most vampires don't even an affinity for blood magic"

"I can confirm that the statement is true" the vampire girl nodded

-You did charm her, so they weren't wrong- Dabria said

-Well it was by accident and that was even before I become a dhampir-

"Now that makes you even more tempting" Cordelia licked her lips

"Please don't do that, it gave me shivers"

"Stop flirting and focus!" Eleanor intervened "Our school reputation is on the line here, and you shouldn't be talking to the enemy"

"I'm going, no need to remind me"

Me and Albert then went to our position and discussed our plans

3rd person view

"I'm not going to lose to you" Eleanor quietly declared to Cordelia

Cordelia then realized what she meant and had an amused look on her face

"You hid your feelings well, I never would've thought that you are also going for him" Cordelia chuckled

"Why do you like him anyway?"

"I like a person who's strong, honest, and funny while treating me like a normal person instead of treating me like a princess. Perseus fit all those criteria, besides, this is a losing race for you" Cordelia replied

"We'll see about that" Eleanor responded

1st person view

"I'll serve as the referee, any questions?" Professor Steel announced

"What are the limits for inflicted injuries?" I asked

"As long as you don't kill, it's anything goes" he answered and waited for more questions before starting the spar

"No sight" Albert casted using curse magic and charged forward holding a sword he made with his light construct to the vampire

When it started, I used metal magic and summoned up strong metal ropes to restrain them, I then warped to the orca hybrid and touched his uniform while he struggled, I get gained control of it and surrounded the uniform with aura.

He then broke out of the restraints, but and wildly swung as I backed away. I then use string magic to tighten around his body and cut one of his arm.

"Better forfeit if you don't want to lose your other arm" I warned "Aura is deadly when it's used with string magic"

He then screamed and enlarged himself and swung at my direction. My aura couldn't hold on and his uniform ripped.

"I keep forgetting that you can't see, but you won't win against me"

I then warped behind him and use spatial magic to shoot and erased his legs, his size then became smaller again as he was screaming in pain. I then used phoenix robe on him, a blue blazing robe appeared on his body and his limb regenerated back to its original self.

Albert also did great on his side, he also received no injuries and the vampire girl was passed out on the floor while he was healing her with light magic. Professor Steel then announced our victory.

"The fights during the attack that happened a while ago was much harder" he said

"I mean duh, we had to fight swarms of knights and mages, now it's the first year's turn right? Let's head back"
