Not everything has changed ....

Teagan got as far as ripping the tape off the first package before another random manilla folder literally fell in front of her face. Resisting the urge to stare off into space and break the 'fourth wall', she simply opened it and read the contents.

'CLARIFICATION PROVIDED FOR TEAGON MORNINGSTAR IN REGARD TO NEPHALEM CHILDREN' – Teagan furrowed her brow but continued to read none the less.

'As of the morning of Sunday, September 16th, 2007 – 'Nephalem Children' possess a divided power. 'Extrasensory perception' upon further inspection has been split three ways.

'Daniela Alice Morningstar' – Extrasensory perception presented as prophetic visions while asleep. Can be taught control or turned off completely. Will take time – due to age – until 'Nephalem Child' is able to differentiate between dreams/nightmares and a prophetic vision.

'Callie Rose Morningstar' – Extrasensory perception presented as 'aura perception' allowing for the sensitivity to intentions and potential to relive others' memories through eye contact. Does not happen automatically, is a conscious effort on behalf of the child.

'Brielle Esme Morningstar' – Extrasensory perception presented as ability to read thoughts. Does not happen automatically, is a conscious effort on behalf of the child.

'Teagan Olivia Morningstar' – Extrasensory perception presented as possession of all the above. Conscious effort that can be used at 'Soul Charge – Teagan Morningstar's' discretion.

A panicked and screamed, "Mommy!" had her head snapping in the direction of her children and her heart pounding in her chest; her instincts to find and destroy anyone who would dare cause her littlest love to scream in terror like that caused her fangs to descend and her nails to sharpen to a point.

As soon as she was inside the room; the door hitting the wall with a loud 'crack' she was sure left a visible hole in the wall – all Teagan saw was Daniela; awake and crying big fat tears in her crib and looking around for her frantically.

"Hey, my Ember." Teagan cooed, claws thankfully disappearing the second she realized there was no physical threat… just a mental one. "I'm here." Her arms wrapped tightly around the small body that clung to her and quivered in her hold as Teagan quickly checked on the other two. Brielle and Callie had woken when their sister screamed and were looking at her in concern but were otherwise alright.

And Teagan, only after reading about their 'individual powers/abilities' felt confident she now knew what ailed her žeravý uhlík. 'Nightmare' was too broad a classification; but 'Extrasensory Perception' – the one gift that could allow Daniela the ability to look into the future in her dreams.

"Show me." Running her fingers through slightly damp red hair and pressing her lips softly against Daniela's temple, she tried not to push even though she felt helpless; how could she protect her from something she saw when she was asleep? Teagan hoped her assumption was right, if only so she could protect her daughter from it long before it happened when she was awake. "Show me what is scaring you."

Daniela looked up at her with all the love and trust a child held for their mother; trust that Teagan could protect her and that only fueled her rage. This was one power that they could live without, and 'It' is lucky Teagan could not barge into 'Its' office and demand that 'It' fixes it.

Daniela nodded once and her small fingers rested against the side of Teagan's neck while her face hid in the other side.

Daniela's vision …

"You will stay away from her, Jacob Black." Teagan stared dangerously at the shaking teen before her. His fists were clenched, desperate eyes glaring at her while steam slowly rolled off his russet skin. Watching herself was ...strange. Teagan did not assume her own body; she was an outside observer looking in; only in a ghostly apparition type form standing directly behind herself.

They were at La Push... she identified from her 'memories' – as far as she could tell, it was near the same cliff edge that Bella had jumped off in the 'original' New Moon. A guess; though one she felt confident in; Jacob had taken her out here to discuss whatever they were discussing… or she had led him here.

"You have no control over yourself, even now. You can't control your temper and I will not allow you to groom one of my daughters."

"Imprinting isn't like that, B-Teagan! If you'd just fucking listen!" A low and threatening growl built in his chest as he squeezed his eyes shut and punched a nearby tree while taking deep rumbling breaths.

Her 'future-self' rose an unimpressed eyebrow at the same time her apparition did. "You want to get close to my child while she is in fact a child in order to lower her inhibitions and prove to her why you would be the ideal mate. I did listen. Sam's exact words were… "why would you reject someone with that level of devotion?" … the whole idea behind you being in her life from day one is to ensure she doesn't choose someone else."

"I have no choice in this..." He ran his hands through his hair repeatedly, nearly ripping it out in his desperate attempts to calm his rage. "Don't you get that? You act like I chose this... or like I wanted this! I wanted to 'imprint' on you!"

Teagan felt her stomach churn disgustedly at the thought and watched as her 'future-self' scrunched her nose. "Ignoring the rest of that sentence…" Teagan did not feel sympathy watching him wilt. "The fact that it was not your choice is the only reason that you are still breathing." His condescending scoff caused both sets of emerald eyes to narrow.

"If I was one of your precious bloodsuckers you would be flocking at the opportunity to have her with one of them." He spat, shaking his head to try to stop himself from shifting. Teagan was not ignorant of the wolves that had followed them and were carefully monitoring the situation; nor of the two vampires that she had yet to identify lying somewhere on the opposite side.

"I'm not advocating for anyone or anything; I don't even remember the vampires you keep trying to shove back in my face as some form of punishment. However, you're not wrong… I would prefer she was mated to a vampire."

"Are you fucking serious?!" He snarled, stomping toward her. The wolves behind her shifted on their feet, ready to intervene at the exact time the vampires did. 'Interesting' she thought but did not let her observations show on her face. "They aren't even alive." Despite his voice being low and his teeth being grit; he still managed to spray spit out of his mouth only further proving her point.

Teagan shrugged, "I gave Sam one of 'Bella's' journals on the Olympic Coven; it only contained a bit of information on them but I know, you know, which part I'm referring to before I even say it aloud." Jacob glowered when she referred to Bella in the third person. "Carlisle met Esme when she was sixteen; still fifteen years older than my daughter. She was one of his patients and he fixed her broken leg after she fell out of a tree. When she was healed up; he left town choosing to let her live a normal human life. It wasn't until ten years later they met again – "

"Save me the leech love story," Jacob snarled. "I can't do that… you know I can't." Instantly his voice took on a hint of a whine while he glanced behind her toward his pack.

"Exactly. As an Imprinter you will 'be whatever she wants or needs you to be.' A lover. A brother. A protector. A friend. But you will always be there, in the way. How is she supposed to learn, fall in love, get her heart broken, make mistakes, grow?" His desperate eyes turned hard when she mentioned 'love'. "You have no 'biological' choice but to fall in love with my daughter… she will be the only woman you care about, the only woman you love, the only woman you see… but she could still reject you. She has a choice."

"So... so you understand why I can't stay away? You understand why we have to come to some sort of agreement here?"

"No." Teagan deadpanned. "I understand why it will hurt you to stay away from her. I understand that if she rejects you, you will most likely commit suicide. I understand why this is beneficial to you and good for your health. I do not see one reason why it would be beneficial to my child. I do not see how being trapped in a relationship before she's even learned to take three whole steps without falling is good for her health. I will not allow you to try and take her choice away."

"This goes far beyond some – some motherly bullshit to protect her from me. What about when that bloodsucker shows back up? Huh? I can protect her better than you can! What are you going to do against a vampire, Teagan?!"

Teagan suppressed a growl; suppressed her urge to rip out his throat and smile as he choked on his own blood. She regretted pretending to be human, now. She regretted providing them with the journals that 'gave her the information on the Cullens' when they confronted her about having 'half-vampire children'… she had wanted Allies in this werewolf war that was so much bigger than she had originally anticipated but she should have known that not everything had changed.

Of course, Jacob was still hung up on 'Bella' and of course he would still imprint on one of her daughters; even if there were three of them, now.

"You may come close enough to keep yourself alive." Teagan managed to choke out though none seemed to recognize her own inner turmoil. 'to kill the wolf or let him live.' "When she is 21, I will introduce you as a family friend and she can decide her own path. Not you, Jacob. Never you. Do not continue to push this, mutt. I will not always be so forgiving."

And for both of their sakes Teagan turned and walked away, boots crunching in the gravel beneath her feet. Ignoring the nervously pacing wolves and the piercing stare of the vampires she had finally identified – if only by scent. 'Laurent and Irina – when was this exactly and why were they watching her?'

"Don't walk away from me, Teagan." Jacob growled, and she could hear the shaking becoming more pronounced.

She kept walking.

"TEAGAN!"

And her 'apparition' identified what must have her little one so terrified, because the very last thing seen in this 'vision' was Jacob lunging at Teagan's exposed back.

When it ended and a tiny hand had been pulled away from her neck, Daniela looked up at her with the most heartbreakingly vulnerable look on her small face. "Hurt?" She whimpered out, frantic golden eyes scanning Teagan intently. She did not even have it in her to celebrate the new word, spoken.

"No, my love. I am not hurt; It was just a dream." And though she detested lying to her; Teagan knew it was for the best. It would not reassure Daniela to know that she had witnessed the future and Teagan would in fact be attacked by Jacob; even if the vision ended before they got to see what happened next.

As Brielle and Callie reached for Teagan, sympathetic tears running down their face; she found herself clung too by three small bodies. While they did not see what Daniela saw, they understood enough to know that it was something bad and it had been concerning their mother.

"Mommy is fine." Teagan insisted. "I am just fine. I am not hurt. I will not be hurt. Everything is okay, my darlings." Despite her assurances, the smell of their fear caused a dark simmering anger to burn through Teagan's veins like acid; and while she may have been caressing her children with gentle and loving touches. The fire that burned behind her glowing green eyes and the way her teeth were grit to prevent baring her fangs was anything but.

Teagan knew it was useful. She knew; but they did not need it. Teagan was not overpowered in terms of generality – there were dimensions, universes, multi-verses where at her current state (and given her very base knowledge on just how to use her many abilities) she would be powerful but not overly so; not until she reached 'Transcendent Level' and mastered the abilities she possessed. Even her 'Reality Warping' would, at this moment in time, be considered base level – she may have had the will to get farther, faster but she did not have the experience; not yet.

That being said in the Twilight universe where everything was painfully predictable and oozing potentiality while not ever reaching it; Teagan was one of, if not the most, powerful one here. So, she did not feel guilty when she spent hours figuring out how to use her 'Gift Manipulation' just so that she could turn Daniela's 'Extrasensory Perception' OFF. Daniela deserved a very good night's sleep without any future burdens on her small shoulders.

I hate updating such short chapters but I've had such a hard time getting Chapter 6 the way I want it. That being said, I figure something is better than nothing! It cuts off a bit abruptly at the end but that's because I've written and re-written this so many times and this is the most I've come up with that eases my inner perfectionist xD Something is bettter than nothing though...right?
