I thrust my blade into the goblin's head and was surprised when I gained two full levels from the kill. "I should have kept an eye on its Status Window!" I said regretfully. "Ah, well, it's too late now."
I was somewhat proud of myself for making it through and coming out victorious from the conflict, and a small grin spread across my face.
After checking if the goblin was really dead, I suddenly felt a powerful presence behind me. I spun around to find that an additional goblin had been standing a few meters away from me. I had been so focused on the fight that I had completely overlooked the other goblin's presence.
Without delay, I assumed a fighting position and examined the goblin's Status Screen.

I pondered incredulously, "Five thousand mana? Is that a usual amount? And three distinct kinds of mana. Just who is this elderly goblin?"
The elderly goblin laughed, a deep rumbling chuckle. "I'm no ordinary goblin, young one. I'm a master of mana."
The elderly goblin held up his hands in a gesture of peace. He had an earnest expression on his face, and his voice was gruff and raspy as he declared, "I don't want to hurt you. I just want to have a conversation." He paused and looked around, his eyes filled with a mixture of seriousness and determination.
"Do you think I'm stupid? I can sense your ominous aura from a mile away!" I responded.
The elderly goblin lowered his hands and his cheerful expression subsided. "I'm Danzo Ogawa," he said. "My skills are mainly centered around magic, and I'm not very good at physical combat."
I remained in my battle stance, still not believing the words of the goblin whose name is apparently Danzo Ogawa.
"Besides with your Negatation Skill, my attacks will prove to be useless resulting in my swift death" Danzo stated with a smug look.
I was taken aback by the old goblin's knowledge of my skill, so I quickly dashed towards him and placed my katana to his throat. "How did you know about that?!" I asked in surprise. I had not used my talent during the entire altercation, so how had the elderly goblin become aware of it?
He said, "Relax, I just have one question." Then he continued, "What exactly are you, kid?"
