Chapter 10: I am an Anomaly

He remarked, "When you first walked through the door, I could tell that you had no mana whatsoever. He speculated that you were either incredibly lucky or had left your companions behind."

I was somewhat put off by the remark, however I chose to disregard it and not let it affect me.

"Although you are young, there is something distinctive about you. Your mental capacity and fortitude are much greater than mine, even though I have lived longer than yourself." He let out a mischievous giggle while remarking, "I hadn't seen any youngster with such an impressive combination of skill and power before, I even had my reservations!"

He gave me an impressed look as he raised his finger and looked me in the eye, commenting, " But then you demonstrated a capability that should not even be possible - 'Nullification'."

"You possess an extraordinary power that can bend the rules and reality of our world, rendering any magical attacks useless. It's almost inconceivable that something like this even exists. So I'll ask again kid, what are you?"

I was obsessing over the idea of what I truly was, and it seemed like the man's rambling had planted the seed in my mind.

My guard was lowered as my mind raced with ideas. I had been transmigrated to this world with no recollection of my prior existence; the only person who might be aware of my background was Aiden.

I have had an unwavering belief in him from the start, as if he was connected to a previous life in some way.

A sudden feeling of serenity enveloped me. I was no longer preoccupied with worrying about something which the outcome was yet to be determined. For the moment, in my current existence, I have experienced a great deal of hardship, losses, and close calls with death. I recognize who I am and have accepted it.

I gazed intently into Danzo's eyes and released a long, heavy sigh as a cold shiver ran down my spine. "My name is Tomo Yutura," I declared. "And I'm an Anomaly."
