I ran towards the Demonic Creature, motioning to the knight that I could handle it. Gripping my katana firmly, I thrust it into the creature's feet and then ran up its body with the blade still inside, creating a deep cut.
Despite the significant strike, the rock-made being showed no evidence of pain and hit me with its enormous stony fists. I was thrown back to the ground but managed to stabilize myself just in time. A trickle of blood emerged from my nose as I wiped it away with my hands. "It appears to be totally insensitive to the pain, given that it's composed entirely of rock," I said seriously.
*JUMP*
I watched in amazement as the massive creature jumped into the air, reaching heights that were unexpected for its size. Suddenly, it began to plummet back to the ground at an alarming rate. I quickly moved away from the spot it was heading for.
*BOOM*
The creature landed with a tremendous impact, creating a shockwave that obliterated the ground in its vicinity and caused everything around it to be pulled away with great force.
The Knight shouted out, "Do you need any assistance there, young one?" I glanced back and shook my head, indicating I was confident in my own abilities. I sped towards the creature, it attempted to grab me but I was too quick. I began flashstepping around it, making it disorientated as it attempted to follow my movements.
The creature was completely disoriented and I jumped up, tightly grasping my katana and putting everything I had into this last strike.
*SLASH*
I slashed vigorously with my katana, completely cutting through the creature. I landes back onto the ground and wiped my blade clean of the debris it had picked up. The creature collapsed behind me.
The Knight gave me a pat on the back and said, "Well done kid, you really pulled it off!" He chuckled and added, "I didn't think you'd be able to do it!" His voice is gravelly, like that of an older man.
I glanced at him and replied nonchalantly, "It's nothing special." I spoke with a neutral demeanor and an emotionless voice. To be frank, I didn't care much about any compliments or praises; I had just been relieved to be powerful enough to win against a formidable foe. "Besides, that goblin I fought in level one was even more formidable," I thought to myself.
The knight urged one to be more appreciative of their own accomplishments.
The earth beneath us started to tremble abruptly. We quickly spun around to discover the source. It was the creature, its two halves had been fused back together and it was in the process of regenerating itself.
"It can regenerate?!", I exclaimed.
The creature completed its reconstruction and towered over us, letting out a thunderous roar that reverberated across the village..
