Chapter 10 - Becoming a demon

Walking towards the house with your stats too low is tiring. While I can remove my limiters, it will destroy my purpose of having fun in this world and I don't want that to happen. So, by the time I arrived at the house. It's already at 4 pm.

Arriving, I saw a teenager around 13 years old walking, carrying a firewoods in his back. Talking with his family.

"Good afternoon, Do you all know where the village is. I'm quite lost in this mountain and my companions seems to be heading towards the village we where suppose to meet" I said towards them, while radiating a gentle aura. Making there cautiousness towards me, lessen.

"Ah, so you want to head towards the village. You can come with me, sir?" Said the teenager, he has his hair tied in a bun while the color being red outside and black inside. His eyes are dark red and it contains a mature and gentle personality and with that personality means, he is most likely a good person. Also, his families seems to be good.

" Sorry for not introducing. My name is Akuma, Akuma Otsutsuki. I know it's a weird name but it is common at my village from the far east." I said while thinking if I should stay here for the night. To see the beautiful moon at night, basking.

"No worries, My name is Tanjiro Kamado, this is my Mom, Kei Kamado. That girl with a shoulder length black hair is one of my younger sister, Hanako. That kid who is holding an axe is Takeo, that's Shigeru and Rokuta. The last one seems to be walking around, her name is Nezuko." He said while looking around.

"I see, well. Can I stay here for the night. Tanjiro, Kei. My body is quite weak physically and it's getting late. I might slow you down when you go down the mountain, Tanjiro" I said while panting lightly, showing them that I was tired and seems to be weak.

"You can, I will prepare the meals later. Tanjiro, you should go down now and come back here before the sunset." Kei said while Tanjiro nodded and says his goodbyes. As he go down, he meets with Nezuko and tell her about me. Of course, I heard them with my heightened senses and it seems that I can still upgrade this perk as I grow stronger.

Soon, Nezuko come up and greet me which I greeted her back in courtesy. Nezuko handed me a futon which I picked and lay it to the ground while they go to their own work. The kids, being kids kept asking me question which I answered some of the questions. Soon, Night fell and a chilling presence immediately comes in my range of senses, I heard five heart beats and it seems to be in one body. Weird, this world is weird. A being who has five hearts, well Kakuzu has five hearts but his hearts only works when he uses those elements. While this being has his heart beats in unison.

Knocking on the door, I turned towards Nezuko who walked and open. But upon opening it, a sudden burst of power comes from this man and a whip like hand comes out, killing each members of Kamado and piercing his claws towards Nezuko's head. Pumping some of his blood. Seeing as I was staring at him with a calm gaze, intrigued him and injecting his blood towards me. A large amount at that, 100x the amount Nezuko had. Making me twitch in pain while my instantaneous regeneration kept working. Of course, I can save the Kamado Family but do I have to? I don't have such a hobby of saving peoples while they bring me a shelter. I don't care how you call me. Now back to the business, I was spasming around like I got shock by the electricity.

My limbs, bursting and regenerating back and forth while the guy is already gone when he was done pumping his blood unto me and Nezuko. I have already memorized the scents his giving off. Now I know why this Verse is called demon slayer and honestly, it's not quite dangerous than the Naruto Verse. Those fucking ninjas kept spamming flames, water or controlling earth. They are a natural disasters.

For many hours of twitching uncontrollably. I finally stop and the sun is already rising it seems. Standing up with difficulty, I fall. Unconscious this time. I seem to hear someone running here, looks like it's Tanjiro who got back.

*3rd Pov*

Tanjiro who arrived and see the bloods painting the wall and Nezuko covering someone at the door. He looked at Akuma who's body looks perfectly fine except that there's blood all over his body while muscles and skins surrounding him.

Lifting Nezuko, He looked back again and seems to have a conflict of saving me or Nezuko but he seems to have a decision finally made up and that is, Saving Nezuko first before him. Moments later, he comes back with Nezuko who seems to have a muzzle.

*1st Pov*(means Akuma's Pov)

Grunting. I sat down leaning my back towards the wall and looked at the incoming Duo, Nezuko and Tanjiro. Looking around, I see the dead bodies scattered around.

"Tanjiro, Nezuko! I'm alive!" I shouted while standing up and stretching. Tanjiro who heard me, run with Nezuko. Holding her.

" Akuma san! Are you okay? What happened last night!? Have you seen the appearance of the murderer?" He asked fastly while tears comes out of his eyes.

"I'm okay, Also it seems I'm getting stronger than before. About the appearance of the murderer, he is micheal jackson wannabe. He has this white hat, black hair, cat like eyes and also he seems to be capable of manipulating his body into something horrific. Sadly, I couldn't save your family as I am too weak. I'm sorry" I said, faking my tears. Which makes Tanjiro console me while trying to have be tough. What a good kid.

"No no no, it's not your fault Akuma san. It's that devil who did this and you didn't do anything wrong, so don't be sorry for what happened. Can you help me bury my family, Akuma san?" Tanjiro said while I nodded and picked the shovel and make a hole big enough for the five dead bodies. I also controlled my strength and as I am right now, I might be around Jonin level of overall power. I also looked at my status to make sure of it.

'It seems that this is the easiest way to gain power in this Verse.' I thought while following Tanjiro with Nezuko holding his hands.

"Where are we going, Tanjiro" I asked to see him looked at me and said.

" We will visiting someone name Urokodaki Sakonji that lives at the foot of Misty Mountain. " He said as he continue walking, soon we see two people on the road and Tanjiro ask if he could get some bamboo basket which the man answered and told him to get one for free but Tanjiro insist of paying the man by slamming him the coins towards the man's palm. Making him scream.

We walked and walked until we arrived at the place where we left Nezuko. Tanjiro called out to her and see a hole as Nezuko popped out looking outside with a frown. While the siblings are staring, I smell something delicious and that too, I am hungry and need something to eat. With a blink of an eye, I arrive next to a girl who seems to be alone, working at the field. Walking towards her, I smell something. Something special than the other blood I smell like the two people I met before. This girl is unique and her blood is alluring to the point I was salivating.

The girl looked at me in confusion why I was standing behind her, but upon seeing my hungry eyes make her petrified in terror as I chomp on those beautiful body, eating it whole with the use of Flesh manipulation. The flavor of the girl is delicious, I want to eat more. But it seems that it is rare for me to find one and I can't do anything about it. Running back towards Tanjiro, I saw him crafting a basket for Nezuko to fill in.

"Akuma san, Why do you smell different from before. I mean, you and Nezuko has the same smell but when you where gone and come back. You have a new smell, Why is that?" Tanjiro asked seriously.

"This, I was hungry and needed something to eat and besides I won't survive if I don't eat right?" I said while not telling him who I ate, he can guessed it for himself. He is a smart kid for sure.

"Right... I hope that you don't continuously do this, Akuma san" Tanjiro said while I nodded. Smiling and watching the serious Tanjiro working for Nezuko's basket. Soon, he finished the basket and tells Nezuko to come out of the hole and get inside the basket.

Which, Nezuko forcefully did while looking at the sun, she crawl towards the basket as she get inside.

By the time she was inside, We finally continue our walk towards the Misty mountain. Night arrive and we see a small cabin from the lady who told us about. Walking inside, we see a man eating an arm and look at us.

"What? Hey... This is my territory. I won't forgive you if you destroy my feeding ground... Huh? This blood. It's thickness... are you a demon like me! and a strong one at that" He said looking at us.

Trying my ability I got when I was turned into a demon, I made my aura burst. Full of menacing aura, making the demon fall back in fear while Tanjiro suffocate as he is the closest one. I then flash right before the demon and chomp his head off, eating it.

"Hey Tanjiro, can I eat this dead bodies" I said while my stomach growl. The demon's flesh taste bland, not like the human I ate before. Tanjiro who see me eating the demon and hearing my question shook his head and told me to bury the dead bodies which I let do it as I was busy eating. We decided to stay the night at the inn so that we can protect the humans from the demons which I'm not against with the plan. Hours past since we clean the place from the stain of bloods, Some demons tried to come here and I killed them and eat them to satiates my hunger. The action I did causes Tanjiro to contemplate his choices of bringing a demons with him towards the Misty Mountain but he didn't voiced it out and just stay in silence. While I happily eat my meal.

Early in the morning around 3 am, a man arrive with a mask comes towards the cabin we are currently in. He asked us about the victims of the demon which we told him the truth, well not all the truth about how I kill and eat the demons coming. Also, he introduce himself as Urokodaki Sakonji and Tanjiro happily told him about what Giyuu ordered to him.

"I see, so you are the one Giyuu talked about. Come with me you three" He said as he run fast, we followed him with Nezuko with me. As I am the stronger one and I guess that Tanjiro is already tired from walking around and seeing me eat a demon in front of his eyes, he is tired physically and mentally.

Soon, we arrived and introduced ourselves along the way.

"Akuma, Tanjiro. Follow at the top of the mountain." He said as we follow him. Arriving, he suddenly told us about this being a test and we need to reach at the bottom before the sunset. He then vanish, which I also followed. Making Tanjiro the only one at the top.

"You're quite fast, Akuma. Who are you really?" He ask while gripping his katana, ready to strike.

" I'm a demon like Nezuko but don't worry, I won't kill you or any humans 'except for those annoying ones'. Tanjiro already know this but since you didn't know, I can eat demons and I can also provide you some information that might seem to be valuable for you" I said while ready to reveal the secrets I have.

"Are you really a trustworthy demon? Give me the information first, before I decide if I'm going to kill you" He said while I smirk.

"Sure, The demon who killed the Kamado Family seems to be the leader of all demons since he turn us into a demon, I also saw how he did it. As for his appearance, he has cat like eyes, white hat, he is also a tall and fairly muscular man that's in his late twenties. Also, he has a pale skin which I mean by that is unnatural pale skin which can make you confuse him as an unhealthy man. His hair are curly black and sharp almond-shaped eyes. That's all I know about this man" I said while drinking something from my gourd.

"I see... You can live for now while I have things to do." He said as he walked inside the house, I followed him and see Nezuko sleeping soundlessly with that muzzle in her mouth.

Many hours later, Tanjiro finally arrived with bruises around his body. As he collapse next to the door. I brought him in and treat his wounds skillfully, making Sakonji surprise by my skillful techniques. With my heightened senses, I know where the most minimal pain and effective to heal his wound faster.
