It Is Out of The Option

'I need to think of a plan, and I need to think of it fast!'

Matthew racked his brain to find the way to deal with the big bear that was thirsting for his blood. While running away is always available as his last choice, Matthew didn't want to run away from a fight that he knew was possible to win.

Other than that, Matthew also wanted to get a fighting experience fighting against stronger opponents since he already saw for himself that the more he explored through the forest, there is a higher chance that he will find stronger opponents compared to the one he fought before.

The level 15 deer is a concrete proof of that. And Matthew thought that if things such as level 25 wolf packs exist, then he wasn't sure that even if he used all his venom, sneak attacks, and ambushes that he could deal with even one or two of them.

Even though Matthew didn't know what level is the bear he is currently fighting with, the fact that his venom still works, then that means Matthew is capable of doing damage to the bear.

After about 1 and a half minutes thinking of a solution, Matthew decided,

'Whatever, staying here and thinking of a solution that I might never find while I kept spending my precious aura is definitely not a smart thing to do.'

Matthew then walked to the base of the branch that was attached to the tree, then he turned around with his back facing the tree trunk. After that, he stretched his body left and right, before lowering his body and bringing his two hands down to the tree branch.

'The wisest thing to do for me right now is just do something and go with the flow.'

Matthew's eyes then locked onto the bear that was currently about 8 meters away from him, still searching for the nonexistent creature on the top half of the tree that the bear chopped.

'And let's just improvise, adapt, and overcome!'

Matthew then kicked the tree trunk to give him a slight boost before running as fast as he could on the tree branch before jumping and launching himself off the tree branch, heading straight to the bear.

Matthew's body flew and he easily traveled 8 meters in 2 seconds, landing on top of the bear's body. Learning from his past mistake when he was slapped away because he stayed too long on top of the bear's back, Matthew didn't start to bite the bear's neck and inject his venom. Instead, just before Matthew landed on top of the bear's body, he brought up both of his hands to the air, then he thrust them into the bear's back using all the strength he could muster in that short amount of time, and adding his whole body weight to the thrust.

With all the movements Matthew did to add power to the thrust and the momentum from his jump, its power was not something that can be taken lightly. If Matthew used the same attack to a level 11 boar, then his hands will easily pierce the boar's skin, muscle, then hitting the bear's bone and possibly breaking the boar's bone or at least leaving a huge crack to it.

But the big bear that Matthew was currently fighting with is on a different level compared to the boar. If the bear didn't activate his aura ability, then Matthew's thrust would pierce through the skin and muscle of the bear successfully. But with the bear's aura ability activated, and with the aura infused inside the bear's body, including the bear's muscles. Matthew's claw thrust could only successfully pierce through the bear's skin while being stopped in the next moment when Matthew's claws were only halfway piercing through the bear's muscle.

But Matthew was already expecting that such a thing would happen, and when he felt the resistance from the bear's muscle and his claws was about to get stuck, Matthew quickly pulled out his hands then jumped away from the bear's back, as far away as Matthew could.

And just when Matthew's feet were separated from the bear's back, the bear's claw already arrived at Matthew's former position, just missing Matthew's legs by a split.

Matthew then stayed on the ground this time, but he didn't stay and observe the boar, but instead, he put up his legs against a thick tree root, before repeating the same action of launching himself onto the bear and using the momentum to thrust his claws into the bear's hind legs before jumping away again after feeling that his claws were about to be stuck inside the bear's body.

Matthew repeated the same action several more times, leaving the bear with several deep cuts on its body. But the wounds are not too deep and it wasn't located in fatal spots on the bear's body.

Seeing that his efforts were not that successful, Matthew decided to step back a little and climbed up a tree, to observe the bear who was currently on high alert after receiving several harassments from Matthew.

Matthew was harassing the bear for about 2 minutes non-stop and he is now only left with 8 minutes of aura usage, but his efforts so far didn't give him a worth exchange for the aura that he spent.

'I need to change my strategy. If I keep this up then running away is the only option left when my aura runs out and the bear is still going strong.'

'My venom won't work this time, so I need to physically damage him. My claws are sharp enough to pierce through the bear's skin, but the muscle was toughened up by the aura significantly that even my sharp claws weren't able to push through.'

'I even used the momentum from launching myself, but it still wasn't enough. What can I do to increase my strength even further…'

Then an idea popped up in Matthew's head.

'I know there's that one, but my full invisibility will be gone and I will be completely exposed to the bear…'

'But it seems that there's no better option for my current situation other than this one and running away…'

'But the latter is out of the option so… Let's do this!'

Matthew then deactivated his chameleon aura ability, before he started gathering his remaining aura to flow into his head, before spreading them throughout his body.

Matthew felt the aura seeping into his skin, his muscles, and into his bones. He felt his muscles bulging out, and he felt a surge of energy going all over his body giving him the feeling as if he could break the bear's body in only one punch.

When the surge of energy started to stabilize and the feeling spread evenly throughout his body, Matthew knew that the wolf's aura ability had activated successfully.

'Only 5 seconds! Not bad for this new body!'

Matthew then once again took a stance to launch himself to the bear's body. He once again put his 2 hands on the tree branch while his right leg leaning against the thick tree trunk to act just like a starting block that was used in athletics.

Matthew then raised his head to once again lock onto the bear who was searching for his whereabouts on the ground below.

Matthew then counted in his mind,

'Ready… Set…'
