LIV: Dragon Rider Elf.

In a certain secluded spot deep in the forest, a spectral dragon descended carefully to the ground, for it carried badly wounded people in its front claws. Touching the ground, Kal pressed his hands to the earth, and then an esoteric language came out of his mouth and the magical power within him boiled.

Soon, the grass, plants, and animals around him began to wither and die, while the ugly wounds on the elf's body began to heal. When he had finished healing himself, he stood up and conjured a bronze mirror, which he floated in front of him.

The reflection showed his outstanding image, a tall, slender, blond elf with captivating blue eyes, but all that ethereal beauty was overshadowed by the dried blood and his torn clothes.

Proof that he had been badly injured earlier. He also noticed that the necklace he had worn around his neck for the past four months was missing, adding to his already turbulent mood.

But he had to put his tantrum aside, he had a much more pressing problem nearby to solve. Mitra, who was tired and somewhat injured from the collateral damage of Seone's attack, had already recovered. Still, her angry expression and the pressure caused by her majesty-filled impulse clearly showed that the current situation was not to her liking.

"Your Majesty..." Before he could finish his words, Kal received a loud and resounding slap in the face, his scarred cheek swelled and dissatisfaction shone in his eyes, but he knew better than to show it.

Mitra might be a bit stiff in battle due to some inexperience, but she was powerful, incredibly powerful, and not someone he should provoke. Swallowing his pride as a reincarnated and powerful human, Kal bowed his head submissively, waiting for the princess' next words.

"I don't care that you got into the fight, that you insulted that ugly human, or that she was slightly injured because of you, what I care about is the dragon spirit attached to you.

Did you use vile means to subdue it? If so, no matter how powerful you are or how deserving you have been, you will be handed over to the Dragon Clan for immediate execution, because the Emerald Kingdom can't be endangered just because of you and your greed," Mitra told him with a cold tone but full of determination, staring at this foreign elf, looking for some identifiable flaw in him.

Understanding why Mitra was upset with him, Kal sighed inwardly as he mentally prepared himself, having to explain such things to a 'native' was not as easy as it seemed, at least for him, not knowing that the strange or rare abilities possessed by reincarnates were not much more than a mild surprise to the people of this continent, being used to much stranger things.

"I am what they call a 'dragon rider', I possess a psychic and magical connection to a specimen of this race, a symbiosis guided by an ancient pact that originates from where I come from. Only my dragon is in ethereal form because the pact has been revised and updated.

I swear by the source of my power that I have not used dark magic or vile methods to subjugate the spirit of Roman, my dragon mate. You can talk to him, he is a sensitive and intelligent being", Kal presented his situation, and the spectral dragon approached them, looking at the situation with curious eyes.

Mitra felt no lies in Kal's words, which was obvious, lying to someone as strong as her would be useless and counterproductive; knowing the latter, the elf didn't even bother to apologize and just spilled the soup. Mitra, whose mood had calmed, looked at the curious Roman with a hint of interest, but soon looked back at Kal, this time with less anger and more scrutiny.

"My mother knows about this, right? If she didn't, you wouldn't be here so calmly," though his tone was questioning, his words were practically an affirmation, and Kal simply nodded before speaking.

"Nothing can be hidden from the eyes of Her Majesty the Queen, so when I met her I told her about my situation, but she didn't have much of a reaction, as if she had already seen beings like me in her past," Kal cursed inwardly at this point, his butt still hurting from the 'punishment' the Queen had given him for daring to lie to her.

Kal thought he could play the conspiracy or black hand game, but a beating from the Queen for lying to him made him see reality because it was just a child's prank on her. This taught him to be more honest and not try to swim in the muddy waters of this continent.

However now she had learned another lesson, 'Don't be a pervert in front of a girl's jealous boyfriend'. Realizing that he had received a social beating and that the swordsman's friends might be making fun of him right now, Kal didn't resist the urge to draw a self-critical smile.

Yes, he was upset and disgusted by the damage he had received, but he had nothing against Seone or his group, not even for the attack, because in a way, even if he was now an elf discriminated by humans, he was still a human inside. Even because of this self-realization, his elven traits were gradually disappearing, something he disguised as being due to the pact with the dragon, which was true in a way.

Another truth Kal learned was stretching the truth, 10% and 90% of lies didn't work, but 40% of truth and 60% of lies could easily pass as truth, the rest could be chalked up to ignorance, change of situation, and other random things out of your 'control'.

"Well, since my mother knows about your situation, I'm not someone who can reproach you in any way, but... I didn't like you following me, although the ability you showed to escape and then heal yourself is interesting, maybe you have a chance to join my harem," Mithra commented carelessly, then started to fly off to the Emerald Kingdom.

Only an idiot would believe that everyone knows that the members of your harem are all female and that I would have to change my gender to join, and while I wouldn't mind being Karla, I wouldn't be it for you, stupid princess," Kal mentally scolded Mitra, almost wishing her death.

Though he refrained from malicious thoughts, the strong are sensitive to them, and he could be mercilessly attacked by a spoiled and powerful princess, which was the last thing he wanted in this situation. Kal then mounted Roman and the latter took flight, heading for the Emerald Kingdom as well.

On the way, Kal felt a burning sensation in his right palm, where a silver mark had been placed, representing the pact between him and his dragon. Soon the spectral image of Seone appeared on his hand, quite small but very detailed, showing the discomfort in the swordsman's expression.

"Who the hell and what do you want?" asked Seone rudely, annoyed but also somewhat intrigued.

The elf in front of him had 'accidentally' dropped an amulet, a silver dragon, whose function was to create a magical communication like the one we are reading now. Intrigued, Seone's group asked him to contact the elf, if anyone had to, it would be him, since he had hurt him, something they could use to their advantage in whatever they were about to discuss.

"Greetings, 'Greedy Snake Seone,' even though it's not an official title, I hope you'll get it soon. Who I am is somewhat simple, a reincarnate who found himself thrust into a camp and race that did not originally align with my thoughts.

My name is Kal, a dragon rider and an elf from Alagaësia, at least that is what my cheat made me out to be. I... want to make a deal with you," it was this last sentence that caught the attention not only of Seone but also of the people behind her.

Kal could make his debut as the little conspirator he wanted to be at the beginning of his adventure, dreams always have a chance to come true.

...

"Honey~ the war between humans and elves broke out in the south as you expected, and I have information about this Seone, apparently he and some of his companions fought against the princess of the silver elves, Mitra," said the blonde woman whose powers and abilities were those of Raven from DC Comics.

A lock of her blonde hair was tucked behind her ear as she stared obsessively at Damien, who had returned from his little trip to the moon a changed man.

He no longer felt corrupt, messy, or chaotic, but pure, and evil, and she, who embraced Raven's demonic side without hesitation, greatly appreciated this change, for it meant that Damien had become much stronger.

Bell, dignifiedly dressed as a secretary and even wearing special glasses for her multiple red eyes, handed an envelope to the vampire who was sitting in a huge chair shrouded in darkness.

Without taking too long, Damien read and processed the various pieces of information contained in the envelope, especially the one about Seone, which he emphasized a little, and at another time he might give it more importance, but the Belmont, despicable as he was, did not deserve his attention, but Princess Mitra.

"The Queen of the Silver Elves has no plans to relinquish the throne yet, and it seems that this war is more about training the heirs of the Flower Kingdom and the Emerald Kingdom than a real fight over the newly developed navigation technology, although... that technology is quite impressive," Damian commented, causing Bell to start taking notes on his words.

Damien could only pat his forehead at the woman's obsessive behavior towards him, although he liked this woman because she was skilled, powerful, and intelligent, she seemed to make a complete fool of herself in his presence, somewhat tender, but at times annoying.

"Ask the Rinnegan boy to go make a mess, didn't he want to be involved because he's a 'god' or something? Well, tell him that the girl who disgraced him before he was reincarnated is now in the south, in the country that banished him.

I need to cause some trouble for that bastard Seone, I don't want him to show up here out of nowhere... after all, the North has always been the ancestral home of the Belmont," the shadows that covered Damien seemed to be absorbed by him, revealing his body.

Damien wore his usual tuxedo and glasses that covered his bloody eyes, and when he joined, all the conscious beings in the place where they were, a castle on a snowy hill, knelt.

Many were natives, but others were reincarnations like himself, who had chosen to follow the vampire because he promised them one simple thing: "Greatness. The only one who did not kneel was Bell, due to her status as a powerful being, being Damien's second in command and romantic interest.

Damien walked over to a window overlooking a snow-covered city, but his eyes could see people moving, laughing, crying, living their lives. His senses merged with his ability to consume reality and he explored the entire country he was in.

A smile appeared on his face, distorted to accommodate the terrible teeth he showed. His bloodlust rose to the sky and his essence, like a devouring being, seemed to permeate the entire castle. The pure aura of blood, flame, and darkness that had been a hodgepodge before was now a distinct presence that struck fear into the hearts of all beings.

Even Seone, whose mental endurance is top-notch, was slightly affected by this new attitude, by Damien's true power. Those who watched the ants in the city were unable to sense that this was a night terror, one of those they used to scare children into going to sleep.

"I will soon devour these people, now I can do it without any risk, not like the original vampires of this world. When I do, it may not reach the power of that masked woman, but it will put me on par with the three threats I have recorded," Damien's words reminded Bell of the threats his partner spoke of.

Daniela, wielder of the Saber Artoria template. Carmelia, wielder of the power of Lucoa Quetzalcoatl. Aaron, wielder of the power of Destruction or Hakai.

Those three were the real headache for the vampire, even Seone was just a pain in the ass and not a real calamity for him, but those three... oh, and that sly fox who didn't act in the fight against Fenrir and made everyone, even the readers, believe that he didn't exist. It was a terrible memetic power, causing Damian to remember that there was a nine-tailed fox where the war Seone participated in took place.

"Indeed, only the Belmont can get into such strange, potentially fucked-up situations," Damien returned to normal, deftly blaming his moon trip on Seone, then laughed.

...

The fox he spoke of, now a handsome young man with soft white fur, looked south with a somewhat uncomfortable expression. He sensed a being of his kind, something strange, but worse, it was a female ... and she seemed to have noticed him.

"Damn, I'm just a weak fox, I've already seen many monsters on the moon like that vampire guy or that Seone who seemed to have noticed me even though I was hiding from the rest pretty well," he complained as his teammates looked at him pitifully.

They knew they would have to get into something complicated, knowing their teammate's situation, since they couldn't just ignore the newly awakened nine-tailed fox, they just hoped they wouldn't get into anything complicated.

Well, wars aren't complicated, are they?
