With his vast Mana reaching up to 109 650 MP, Link decided to Level Up 'The Story of Genes' as much as he could.

Like usual, he went into his Cave and sat down. With Zero's help he did not need to do anything but sit there and wait.

Messages appeared in front of Link. he only felt waves pass through him with every Level Up.

His body became crazy strong. He grabbed a sword and slashed at his arm, leaving not even a small scratch. His senses became sharper while his eyes shone with vitality.

"Only 2 more till it reaches 10 huh. I wonder what would happen" Link thought, checking his Status. Zero decided to stop Leveling it due to the massive loss in Mana. She decided that the more Link had the better, so she left Link a good chunk just in case he needed it.

Link left, heading to the City. He needed to reach Level 10 as soon as possible and Rank up. As he walked back he killed a couple of roaming Beasts and got 800 Exp and 200 MP. He walked in and headed to the Guild, grabbing the only Quest that was left inside the Dead Forest.

[Kill the Dead Forest's Undead Bear.

Many parties ventured in but never came back. The fiend itself isn't that powerful but with all the Undead surrounding it, it became a top Gold Rank Quest.

Reward: 3 000 Gold

Bring the Beast's Core and Corpse as proof. A bonus will be received for the quality of the Corpse]

"Why do they need the corpse too?" Link asked the receptionist.

"I believe it is for research. This thing can control an infinite number of Undead at the same time, some Necromancers are dying for a skill like that" She said.

"Can I keep the Core and bring only the Corpse?" Link asked.

"If you wish, we can return the Core to you after confirming the kill"

With that Link left. He went back to his room, showered and went to sleep. In the morning he ate and left Blinking from roof to another.

Since becoming famous in the City, Link would rather Blink to places than walk in the streets. People would crowd around him and it bothered him.

Link was back in the familiar Dead Forest. He spent so much time here hunting that he barely finds any Undead anymore. His Inventory had numerous Corpses that Link planned on selling slowly.

Spending all that time the Dead Forest, Link knew this place like the back of his hand. It was empty with dead trees and whatnot, but the only thing that would catch the attention of all who come here was the giant mountain in the middle. It had a giant cave entrance with hordes of Undead surrounding it.

At times when Link would find difficulty finding Undead, he would lure out a horde or two from there to kill.

Standing near the place, the only thing one would hear were the unsightly moans and groans of the Undead. The smell of the rotten and decomposing bodies filled the air, it didn't matter that it was outside. The air was suffocating. Link hated coming here since whenever he would breath, a foul taste would remain in his mouth.

"How should we do this?" Link asked.

<You can easily sneak in and kill it. They said it's not that strong alone so it won't be a problem>

"I think that's a good idea. I can't kill all of these things alone after all" Link said, looking at the endless ocean of Undead "I should Level Up first though, i only need 1 200 Exp"

Link looked around a bit, finding an Undead Knight and a phantom. He was used to the Undead Knight's moves but he never fought a Phantom before. He heard about them though and wasn't surprised to see one here. They were Creatures born from death and suffering and this place did not lack any of that. They were dark humanoid fiends with long fingers and no legs. They would float around, leaving behind something called Ectoplasm. Their attack was mostly physical though, running after you with great speed and slashing with their dangerously sharp fingers.

<You can take them, you're in a whole different league from the old you>

"I know" Link muttered, Blinking near the knight and punching a hole right through its chest. His hand protruded from the other side. Neither the bones nor the armor managed to even slow down the punch. Link pulled his hand back with a shiny ball in his palm, it was the Core. The Undead Knight fell straight after.

Link fought so many of these Creatures that they were no longer a threat. The Phantom screeched as it moved, swinging its arm with its sharp fingers aimed at Link's chest. Link just looked at it as he lifted his arm calmly, taking the hit.

Clank!

The Phantom looked at its opponent with confusion. It's attack would usually cut anything like butter, but now it had no effect on this kid. He looked unconcerned. It moved again preparing another attack but the next thing it knew, its arm was gone, then it was cut in half. In its vision Link never moved, but the damage that happened to it would say otherwise.

Link took the Core as he put the corpses in his Inventory. He threw a couple of average Undead Corpses to feed his Pet. He has been doing this for a while now. Getting rid of them from his Inventory was Link's priority. He sold and used them as food whenever he felt like feeding Zasho, but there was still too much.

Link looked at the new messages with a grin.

Link saved the new Skill Points while putting one Status Point on Agility and the other on Stamina. With Agility reaching 20, Link reached a new Level in speed. But his smile dropped when he saw how much Exp he needs to Level Up.

"Zero, you serious?" Link asked, frowning. It was already hard enough to Level Up back then, he didn't even want to think about how much he would need to kill and hunt just to Level Up once.

<Don't blame me. You're in the big leagues now, what did you expect? Plus, you can just hunt stronger Beasts and get more Exp from them>

Link sighed. He consumed the Cores he just got and walked back to the Mountain. He activated 'Shadow Walk', 'Air Boost' and 'Ambush' As he ran in. He jumped as high as he could and activated 'Float'. If anything could see him, Link would have looked like he was flying as he floated with great speed straight towards the Cave entrance.

<The speed you ran with just now is incredible. Link, we're climbing to the top>

"Of course we are. There's nowhere else to go" Link smiled as he entered the dark Cave.
