Harvest Dungeon (1)

Red could not forget the creatures he saw at the dungeon, it's getting more and more dangerous in there, even for the low leveled ones. He deemed the Create Dungeon skill dangerous for now, he couldn't risk meeting weird creatures like that again.

The sunlight peeked through the curtains, making its way around the room. Red woke up, looking like he didn't sleep very well, he was having nightmares.

He could hear the screams of despair, the smiles and the disfigured faces, those were people, with killing the demon, red ended them as well.

Reaching for his phone, Red lets out a sigh, he opens the app and looks for a dungeon he's allowed to enter.

'F rank harvest portal available at sihans underground train station'

The app was already aware of his rank and showed him the closest dungeon available for him. harvest dungeons are owned by the guild, after registering at the site, it is recommended to join or form a party for safety.

Red heads downstairs, his mother already gone and his little sister still asleep, he heads out.

at the underground entrance, two soldiers stood guarding with some barricades and signs at each side.

"This is a restricted area, please evacuate from the premises" one of the two men spoke as red was approaching.

"Yes, i'm here for the dungeon." says red while showing a brown card in his hand.

After the man took a better look at the card, he moved away to give space for red to pass without saying anything else.

"It's an F rank dungeon, what's with the seriousness." red thought.

He starts going down the stairs, with every step he took, voices can be heard.

"It'll be our turn soon"

"Number 215 please proceed to the dungeon portal."

"Lesser healing elixirs here and low level weapons, please take a look"

Announcements and people talking filled up the place.

red reaches the end of the stairs, the station is huge with so many rankers, some were wearing casual clothes, some had few parts of armor and some weapons on and some had full armor with weapons. swords, axes, even bows and staff were carried by the rankers.

"Hello, registration is over there, and you will be assigned to a random party if one is needed." A woman in a black suit spoke to red while pointing at a table at the far corner before walking away. Another man in a suit sat with two soldiers at each side, with a computer and some files sitting on the table in front of him.

Red walks to the man with a blank expression.

"Hello, would you like to register?" the man asked.

"Yes please." answered red

"Understood, may i have your card please." the man continued "my name is andy, i'm the dungeon manager."

Managers are the people hired by the guild to keep everything in order, even when it is an F ranked harvest dungeon it would still provide resources and training.

"Yes, nice to meet you, i'm red." says red while handing him his card.

Andy grabs the card and types in something into his computer "Hmm... you're new?, but I see your mana and abilities are decent, would you like to be assigned to a party?".

"Yes, thank you." answers red.

Andy hands him his card back with a black piece of paper stuck on it. in the middle of the paper in white was written '219'.

"That is your party's number, when you hear the announcement, please go to the portal or you will have to re-register. your party members are somewhere around." says Andy before going back to work.

Red steps back and looks around, the place is crowded, he had to idea how he would find them, so he decided to wait until the announcements.

At the other side, stalls were set up by other rankers. It's a common thing, the guild would help sell the items but it would take a share and some rankers don't like that.

One stall had vials filled with light red, light blue and light orange liquid all over, from what red guessed, the light red one is a lesser healing elixir, the light blue vial is a lesser mana elixir and the light orange vial is a lesser stamina elixir.

Another stall next to it had some weapons and random materials on it, the weapons looked average, some were even rusty.

Red went to a bench and sat down waiting for the call.

"Number 217 please proceed to the dungeon portal." another announcement came up. it skipped a number, red wondered why but didn't care, he grabbed his phone to pass the time.

...

"Number 219 please proceed to the dungeon portal." the announcement called.

After hearing it, Red stood up, walked to the train door and jumped down, heading up the tunnel, guards were guarding it but after showing his number they let him through.

Upon reaching the end, he saw a huge egg shaped black portal, it was emitting some noise, it sounded like a car engine but distorted, inside it was complete darkness, it looked menacing.

"You're the last member?." a voice asked from the left.

he looked and saw a group of 3 people standing, a bald man in a tank top asked, he didn't look strong, he had an average height with an average build with a long sword on his waist.

Two people stood behind him, one was a female, she had long black hair with brown eyes, she had a pretty face with a balanced body, she was wearing casual clothes, a black shirt and blue pants, with a wooden bow on her back.

The other was a man, he had a scar on the left side of his face, blue eyes and short brown hair, he was wearing a blue sports suit with a couple of daggers on his waist. It looked kind of funny but Red tried not to laugh. each one was carrying a backpack on his back..

"He looks like a kid, are they accepting just anybody now." the man in the sports suit glared at red.

"Come on now, we're a team, and if he managed to register it means he was good enough." the bald man continued "Don't mind him, we've all just met but let's get along, we need to have each other's backs. i'm justin, his ron and that's nancy." said justin while pointing at each one.

"Nice to meet you." Nancy smiled.

"Whatever.." ron sighed.

Red didn't say anything, he just looked at them for a bit and introduced himself.

"Well, nice to meet you red, let's get going then." said Justin, then started walking towards the gate and jumped in, followed by the others. Red hesitated for a bit then joined them.

His sight blurred, static and a high frequency sound can be heard, it felt like he was being pulled by a vacuum.

The next thing Red knew was the feeling of fresh air on his skin, he opened his eyes, green grass was everywhere, trees and birds could be seen.

"Well, this is the dungeon, let's get moving we need to find the way." justin said.

"The way?" questioned red.

"Yeah, We can move freely here, it's like we're outside, but we can't leave a certain area. If you try to leave you'll just slam into something. That's why we need to find the marks, they are the markings on the ground where the barrier is, the dungeon changes whenever someone enters it so we have to do this every time." Nancy explained while looking around.

"Ok, thanks." Red helped, Justin found the markings, and moved forward.

"This is a harvest dungeon, with the boss and the mini bosses dead the only thing we have to worry about is the weak monsters around and the materials we collect, from what i read, the monsters around are dog men, they are shorter and thinner tho, since the boss was killed all its minions lost the leader boost, so they won't be an issue." justin continued "Well, what we can get from here is, the weapons and whatever these creatures have on then, plus the Riss mushrooms and Saint flowers, they are common but still needed by alchemists. and if we're lucky, we might find lesser life stones too" justin grins.

*GRRRR*

When walking, the group heard growls from their right.

"Careful, they found us." nancy whispers.

"Ok, now everyone is by himself, whatever you kill will be yours, and when you're in trouble just call out." Justin pulls out his sword.

The monsters looked a bit scary, they were like skinny rabid dogs but standing like people, holding either clubs or swords. there were 3 of them.

The first one, was holding a sword, with shoulder guards and tattered shirt and pants, they were shorter than red but still big for dogs.

The second was holding a big tree branch, with a leather helmet and leather chest armor on. the third one was holding a rotting bow, but it looked like it could still hold on, with him at the back and the other two in front of him.

"Are they in a formation? they look like they have some kind of intelligence, this wasn't in the dungeon report." Nancy continued, "This is weird, guys."

"Does it matter? they're just weak creatures, let's take care of them for now." ron smirks and rushes to the creatures.

*WOSH*

An arrow flew past his head, the dog man shot one at him and nearly hit him. rons expression changed and jumped back, he looked ahead and the 2 dog men were running at him as well.

Justin tapped rons shoulder while running past him, which woke Ron up and he joined him, Nancy pulled the string of her bow, and suddenly light started shaping up and forming into an arrow, with a smooth motion.

*WOSH*

a thin white line passes by ron and justin which were fighting with the 2 monsters and going straight to the one in the back, it already had an arrow in and was going to shoot but a hole in its chest appeared and blood went everywhere.

*PAM*

The monster fell, and within seconds the other 2 followed.

"Ok, nice work guys, each one looted his kill. red don't worry about it, you'll get a kill next time." said nancy while smiling.

from what red figured out, this was not their first dungeon, they didn't hesitate to kill those things. Red only managed to kill monsters before because of his Steady Mind skill.

"As if, he didn't even move an inch. HA" ron laughs

Red could have ended the creatures with one attack but he didn't, he wanted to see how good his party was and to check the monsters movements. they were intelligent, which made red worry a little, he didn't know what to expect in here.

He saw his team, rummaging through the creatures taking their weapons and armor, they put it inside their backpacks.

"Alright, let's keep moving." shouted Justin as he started walking. it worried red, he thought that he shouldn't have shouted, if these creatures were intelligent, they would prepare traps or something.

They walked through the forest, spotting some materials and collecting them. Red got a bunch himself.

*WOSH WOSH WOSH*

"AAARRRGGHH..." Ron screamed.

Red didn't know what was happening, he looked back and saw an arrow embedded into ron's leg. with one on the tree behind him and another broken on the ground. Justin blocked one with his sword.

"What the hell is happening?!" nancy yelled.

"Sol.." whispered Red, with Sol summoned he ordered it to find the archers and take them out. it started moving.

Red looked up, he saw Ron and Justin fighting off 5 dog men, armed with branches and swords. Nancy was behind a tree, supporting them from behind with her bow.

*WOSH*

Another arrow flew past Ron's face. He looked terrified.

'1 Dogman archer slain : 100 XP earned'

Red was surprised with the message, he thought he couldn't get XP from monsters, only quests, but he was wrong.

'1 Dogman archer slain : 100 XP earned'

He looked at his team, Ron and Justin were running away while a group of Dogmen were running after them.

"Mana Bolt.." red mutters.

*BOOM*

The spot where the creature was at, exploded with a blue color.

'1 Dogman warrior slain : 100 XP earned'

'1 Dogman warrior slain : 100 XP earned'

'1 Dogman warrior slain : 100 XP earned'

3 dogmen were killed in the attack, and 2 were injured. with another Mana Bolt they followed.

'1 Dogman warrior slain : 100 XP earned'

'1 Dogman warrior slain : 100 XP earned'

'1 Dogman archer slain : 100 XP earned'

'Looting...'

'Looting successful..'

'[1 Rusty Sword (32%)/ 1 Rusty Sword (24%) / 1 Tree branch (12%) / 3 lesser life stones / 2 arm guards (68%) / 1 leather Chest piece (58%)] Looted...'

Red didn't know what the percentage was but he guessed it was the durability.

"What the hell was that? Red, did you do that?" Nancy asked while staring at red.

Justin was looking at him as well, while Ron was bandaging his wound.

"There's still archers around, be careful," said justin.

"No don't worry, they ran away, I saw them." reported red. He didn't want them to know too much. so he stayed quiet about Sol.

"Ok, good, we have to leave, something is weird, they're supposed to be ignorant creatures without their boss but they ambushed us." Justin had a worried expression.

"Yeah, let's go, I'll help Ron walk, you and Red cover us while we head back to the portal." said nancy.

*RRROOOAAARRR*

A powerful roar was heard from deep in the forest. it sent shivers down their spine, the creature that let out such a horrifying sound was huge.

*POM POM POM*

Loud running and smashing of trees can be heard from up ahead.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT????? RUN NOW!!!" Justin screamed with fear all over his face.

*POM*

*POM*
