[Day 19]
I was forced to kill the Zippleback after it began hunting me. I tried to calm it down and see if I could train him but it was no good. As I ran away I entered the territory of a Monsterous Nightmare and they began fighting. One of its wings and head was injured, I tried to tend to it and maybe win its trust but it still tried to kill me. Seems like they held a grudge since I was the one who accidentally caused it to fight. Thankfully it all happened in the forest while it rained otherwise I would have been screwed.

[Day 27]
I found an injured red fox and began taking care of it since it reminded me of the pups I bought before I left the village. It's still not used to me and has tried to bite me a couple of times.

[Day 34]
I finished my makeshift raft but it broke apart after taking on a few waves. I guess there's no other choice but to try again…..

[Day 58]
Cora became friendly and has now been following me around. She has started to bring what she hunts home every now and then.

[Day 104]
It started snowing out of nowhere last night and I'm afraid it won't be stopping anytime soon.....
Neil looked at the nearest mountain that was now white with snow and put his sailor's log away.
"This Island is crazy in just one night the whole island became white."
He got up and began filling his roughly made waterskin, 'Hopefully, the lake doesn't freeze, if it does fish will be out of the menu and water will be harder to get.'
After walking roughly 5 minutes he made his way down to his new underground bunker and took off his Hideous Zippleback cloak.
He grabbed one of the barks that had some odd transparent liquid on it. Then he placed it below a few branches and lit it with sparks he made with his two daggers. Fire erupted from the stack of wood almost immediately.
"This fire gel from the monstrous nightmare really isn't something one should mess with. Isn't that right Cora?"
The red ball of fur near the bonfire suddenly produced a head which it tilted as if asking what he wanted. After a bit, she put it down and went back to sleep.
"So damn lazy haha. I wonder how the foxes back at home are doing."
Neil sighed and placed the Zippleback cloak on the fire.
"Thank god that I made this underground shelter, otherwise I would have frozen my ass off. Well since the sun is up now I really should check the traps."
He grabbed the cloak from the fire and wrapped it around himself. Once he got out he kicked the surrounding snow away.
'Ugh if I had better tools I would have added better reinforcement so that I wouldn't have to worry about the dirt walls collapsing on me.'
After walking for roughly 15 minutes he came upon his first trap which was a small rabbit that had tried to eat some of the fruit he had placed on a deadfall trap.
The trap was extremely simple since it only used a stick and two large rocks but it had proven how effective it was during his time there.
As he continued to check on his traps he would occasionally add more. The surprise snowstorm seemed to have spooked the animals because many of his traps had been successful.
"While 8/13 ain't bad two of the 8 were raided by some other animal. Since it didn't leave any tracks it's most likely a Terror. "
As he was headed back home he caught sight of something that nearly caused him to drop his haul. From the direction of the shore, dark clouds and lighting began making their way towards his direction.
"First a snowstorm and now a lighting storm?! Can't Ullr and Thor find somewhere else to hang out?!..... Great now I'm talking like Grandpa."
Neil quickly ran home and after putting the fish inside he grabbed the tarp that he had made using leftover Zippleback hide. He then grabbed 6 stakes and dug them into the ground.
Using thin strands of hide which were used as rope and thread he tried the stakes to surrounding trees to add more reinforcement with tension.
"While I'm not sure if this can hold in a storm at least it'll deflect some of the water from seeping into the ground."
Once the preparations were set in place there was nothing else that he could do. He went inside and hoped for the best as he ate dried rabbit meat.
It didn't take long for him to start hearing nearby lightning strikes.
"Please don't let it land here, don't let it land he..."
Realizing that he had his daggers on him he quickly grabbed them and threw them at the farthest part of the room.
As more time passed he suddenly began hearing the roaring of dragons nearby. There seemed to be some kind of territorial fight or something.
"Who the hell fights in this weather?! Go to your damn dens and shut up!"
After a few minutes of continuous snarling and roaring a hard impact hit the ground which caused the room to start collapsing. Almost instantly Neil found himself submerged in dirt and mud.
He quickly felt his way around and grabbed what he felt was Cora and together they got out of the pool of mud.
After he began spitting wildly Neil wiped his face and began searching for any injuries on him and Cora.
"What the heck was that?!"
When he turned around to see what happened he was shocked when he saw a large ball of ice about 2.5 feet in diameter. It had hit near one of the dirt walls which had caused it to collapse.
A loud roar caught his attention and when he looked up he found large silhouettes of dragons that were created by the lightning.
In Reioi he had heard stories of a dragon that was supposed to be Thor's pet. According to them, it would sometimes appear as it bathed in Thor's lighting.
"So that's a Skrill, then the fighting I heard earlier involved him. Does that mean that what created this ball of ice was also a dragon? But I've never heard of one that can use ice attacks."
