I don't quite recall how I ended up here, but does it really matter? What's important is that I'm here now. The young man, in his twenties, stood on the balcony, gazing out at the vast city of New York. His face was filled with awe as he took in the prosperous city before him.
"What surprises me even more is that I'm in the Marvel Universe," he thought to himself as he took a sip of his red wine. Swirling the liquid around in his glass, he poured it down his throat and took a deep breath before walking back inside.
In the living room sat a middle-aged man, sipping on his own glass of wine. The young man walked over to him and spoke.
"Mr. Stane, I really appreciate you coming personally. The power plans your company has been far beyond our technology. The world truly needs the solutions that Stark Industries presents."
"It's nothing, Justin. Who knows, in the next decade, people might have generators in their pockets without having to worry about power shortages, unlike us," Stane replied.
"I find it surprising that you reached out to us for power solutions. From what I've heard, your late father despised Stark Industries to his core," Stane continued.
Justin smiled and replied, "My father was quite competitive. He didn't exactly hate Stark Industries, he just wanted to be better."
"You're even more competitive than him!" Stane laughed, and Justin joined in.
"Yes, I am. But I'm in no rush to enter the military and arms business just yet. There's still so much more to explore," Justin said.
Stane pondered for a moment before responding, "That's true. Hammer Light bulbs, Hammer Motors, Hammer Electronics...you practically rule the world of the ordinary populace."
"That's not entirely true," Justin chuckled.
"Come on, 'Hammer Motors, sleek and fast, leave others in the past.' Everyone is asking for Hammer Motors; how can you sell yourself short?" Stane retorted.
"Still, it's the engineers who do the core work. We don't have a genius like Stark. Father, Son, take anyone. Both are the core of Stark Industries," Justin said.
Stane didn't say much in response. They were both trying to figure out what kind of relationship the two world-class companies would have with each other. Everything else was just a farce.
Did Stane think that Hammer Industries didn't have enough capital to build a completely new power station? With the current income of Hammer Industries and the progress of Hammer Industries in Justin's hands, Stane couldn't deny his genius outright.
After all, making weapons wasn't the only way to earn money. If Justin wanted to, they could start anytime. But Justin had bigger plans. He already knew the general development route of his previous world and could use it to take the largest bite out of it.
As some genius had said, in any age, there are three things that always sell: weapons, medicine, and alcohol. Even our genius Stark drank with relish.
As Justin sat on his comfortable sofa, he received a phone call. Holding the phone on speaker, he heard a voice say, "Sir, the designs are complete, and the network routing is completed between most of the metropolitan cities."
"Good. I'll come check the new chip's performance. Keep everything ready," Justin replied.
"Yes, sir."
Justin planned to hasten internet development and start developing the concept of personal computers. But instead of bulky computers, he started directly with smaller, lighter laptops.
These laptops have all the basic functions needed, a dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, 64GB hard drive, and all necessary drivers needed to connect to the internet. Can you find anything remotely powerful and easily accessible like this in the year 1991?
Justin was sure that his product would become a hit, and internet ideas such as Hammerbook and Hammertube were on the way. This season's expo would be his spotlight.
All of this was made possible by Justin and the special memories he had. These memories were not from his past but a completely different set of memories, like different personas.
One such persona was the memories of Justin. He knew all about him and had all his memories. But there was another persona, another set of memories other than this.
In these memories, he was a mechanical lifeform and was incredibly intelligent when it came to electronics. He had seen many wonderful and amazing things, but at the same time, frightening and scary things.
The thought of destroying planets, usurping stars and their energy, making various planets with life slaves, and terraforming them for their use gave Justin chills. Instead of having these memories, he would rather be happy without them.
But he was no overlord in these memories, just a small technician. But this small technician had all the access to the knowledge that could be accessed. He knew almost everything and knew how to make and use them in practice.
For Justin, doing all these things was for one sole reason. He wanted to go bigger! Why wear an iron suit when one can become iron!
Yes, in those memories, he saw how an organic lifeform became a mechanical lifeform! No change in outer appearance, but completely different from inside.
In those memories, he saw one incident where a woman became a mechanical lifeform. She was never told anything about her change, and she kept living until she noticed others around her growing older!
For a moment, Justin thought this was incredible, but when he accessed the rest of the memories, it was no longer awe but a deep feeling of a primitive man seeing a fighter jet.
Here he is rubbing wood against each other to start a fire, and there he sees other human beings flying away in their sonic jets, flying faster than the speed of sound.
Justin was similarly shocked by the extent of mechanical lifeforms' experimentation on the things around them. But he knew this was only the tip of the iceberg. The universe he was in, what is not here?
Talk about infinity stone, talk about magic, talk about hexes, talk about parallel dimensions, talk about cosmic entities that can erase you right now, talk about... you could keep talking for three whole days and keep talking about it.
Just when Justin was thinking about what he could do next, his phone rang.
"Sir, the necessary materials have been acquired."
