Chapter 15

Feeling the morning sun on my face I opened my eyes.

Yawning I casually stretched my arms into the air, feeling totally and utterly refreshed.

All thanks to last nights activities.

The same goes for my partner.

If Honey Queen satisfied expression on her sleeping face is anything to go by right now. Which I am sure it is.

Once I finished yawning and stretching I got up and headed for the bathroom to clean myself up. I don't want to spend the whole day walking around covered in bodily fluids after all.

In no time at all I finished up in the bathroom.

I then put on some casual clothing and started making my way to the deck to do some light morning training.

In doing so I passed Mira, who was glaring at me with serious bags under her eyes.

Seeing them I realized me and Honey Queen might've been a bit too loud last night.

"Sorry if we kept you up. Next time we'll try to keep it down." I told Mira.

Since there will definitely be a next time with Honey Queen.

In response to my words Mira said nothing. Instead she just walked up to me and put our faces inches apart.

Then before I could stop her she grabbed my shirt collar, pulled me down, and then....

*Chu*

Planted a kiss right on my lips.

The moment this happened my brain ended up filled with the blue exe, screen before it quickly rebooted.

But by the time it did Mira had broken our kiss.

She then walked away without saying a word.

Soon I found myself standing there alone.

"Well, that happened." I mused.

What a way to start a morning.

(3rd Person: POV)

Entering the cabin she was using as her room Mira closed the door and then placed her back against it.

Sliding down it she soon found herself sitting, a furious blush appearing on her face seconds after she did so.

Given that she had just pulled Edward into a kiss without any hesitation.

"Why did I do that?" Mira asked herself.

She and Edward were friends and crewmates, nothing more and nothing less.

Yet when she heard the moans of him and Honey Queen last night without even realizing it small amounts of jealousy and envy appeared in her heart.

Which only magnified after she saw Edward face-to-face a few moments ago.

At that time something came over her and without even realizing it she found herself kissing him.

Only now was she realizing the gravity of what she just did.

"Oh, what if Edward thinks I'm strange now?" Mira asked herself.

But honestly he didn't.

A fact Mira would soon come to find out.

(Edward: POV)

Standing at the steering wheel I steered the ship.

While Mira and Honey Queen trained against each other in front of me on deck.

It's been about a month since the former Trump Pirate agreed to become my subordinate and we started humping like rabbits.

Though both of us are taking contraceptives.

I don't feel like getting any girl pregnant at the moment.

Anyway.

For the past month since Honey Queen joined us Mira and I have started putting her through an intensive training regimen. We're teaching her about devil fruits, helping her develop her own devil fruit abilities, and generally trying to make her into a competent leader. As well as truly loyal to us. Since even though she says she's loyal that could just be a lie, and since observation haki can't always distinguish truth from lies Mira and I have been keeping a close watch on her during our travels.

Based on this we see Honey Queen has turned over a new leaf, but only time will tell if it sticks or not.

Which is exactly why we aren't teaching her everything we know yet. Like haki.

Mira and I are making sure we don't get burned.

Oh and speaking of Mira ever since that morning she kissed me she's been basically avoiding me unless absolutely necessary.

Which is really creeping me out.

I'm used to a confident and cool Mira who speaks her mind, not a timid girl who runs away and hides.

At first I decided to give her some space to process her actions.

But now that a month has passed it looks like I'll need to take a more aggressive approach in dealing with her.

Mira and Honey Queen finished up their training session.

Once they did so I stepped away from the wheel and moved close to Mira.

As she tried to leave I grabbed hold of her wrist to stop her from doing so. The moment I did she learned to look at me.

"Let me go." Mira spoke.

"Nope." I replied. "Honey Queen , give us some privacy."

"Yes boss." Honey Queen spoke.

She then left.

Once I was sure she was gone I started my aggressive approach.

"So, why are you avoiding me?" I asked her.

"I'm not." She replied.

"Well we both know that's a load of shit." I said. "Listen, if this is about the kiss I just want you to know I don't care."

"R-really?" Mira asked in shock.

"Yep." I replied. "It happened. And to be honest I actually enjoyed it."

"What?!" Mira cried. A small blush creeping upon her face as she did so.

Seeing this I only had one thought on my mind.

'Cute.'

Right now Mira looks really cute.

"Hey Edward, that's not a joke right. You're not just saying you enjoyed my kiss to mess with me right?" Mira asked. Fidgeting from side to side like a teenage girl talking to a boy she had feelings for.

That's when I remembered Mira is a teenage girl. She's only sixteen, and although she acts mature most of the time when it comes to matters of the heart everyone loses maturity and common sense.

Even me.

Sighing I pulled Mira close and gave her a gently hug. I then placed my mouth near her left ear and whispered. "Of course I'm not lying. What guy wouldn't be happy getting a kiss from a beautiful girl like you. In fact if you wanted to do it again I wouldn't mind one bit." I spoke.

I then gently blew in Mira's ear.

Feeling her entire body shiver in my arms as I did so.

This response brought a smile to my face.

Leaning back I looked Mira in the eyes and she did the same with me.

As we stared at each other time seem to slow down all around us, then before I knew it both of us were leaning in for a kiss.

*Boom!*

But we were both stopped when a cannonball landed in the water near the ship and exploded.

Turning our heads in the direction the cannonball came from Mira and I both spotted a navy warship sailing in our direction.

'Motherfuckers!' I thought.

Fucking cockblocking marines!

It seems I need to teach them a lesson about ruining a tender moment between a man and a women.

Those bastards better be ready.

Because today I am taking no prisoners.
