********** Lizzy's Perspective **********
Tessa: *nervously* No! What do you mean talked? You mean you talked to it, right?
Tom and Evan seem to let Tessa do the nervous talking now that Lizzy dropped that bomb.
in the meantime Susi thinks:
~ I don't get why he seems to be that interesting... or what it is to get so excited about. The Pokémon Lizzy talks about can't even talk Pokémon. I doubt it can even talk to its fellow... well what kind of Pokémon was he anyway?
"~Ok wasn't I expressing myself clearly enough?~"
"~Alright, let's try it again~"
"No! I mean I talked to it and it answered me in our language! It's really smart! I would even go so far to think it's legendary! I asked it some questions and it even knew about Arceus and it's creations Dialga and Palkia!"
Tessa can't believe what she is hearing right at this moment and shows it with a loud: ".... what?"
Evan and Tom seem to be dumbstruck as well. Just standing there, leaving Lizzy to deal with an awkward silence.
Tom: How? I mean isn't it dangerous? How were you able to talk to it?
Lizzy now grabbing her chin in thought staring into the sky.
"Well... uh... I was chasing Susi again after I found her I turns out that she met him and he ran off before I arrived. I guessed that she wanted to show me something so I told her she could follow it slowly with me together but at that point, she already ran away again. I tried catching her again but instead ran into the Pokémon that she was so excited about. At least that's what I thought.
But it wasn't that important to me what I wanted to know was where my Susi went. I looked around and not a second later it's pointed me in a direction. I didn't really get what he was getting at.
Quietly he told me that she ran off in that direction. I didn't realize that it talked in all my hastiness. But it hit me a few seconds after I started running.
And that's how I found out."
I start to check how they react to what I just said to them and not even a second later...
"And!? Go on please this could be really important for our mission and the guys that might be in danger!"
Evan shoots out his reaction, not quite the reaction I expected but a reaction nonetheless.
"Eh? Uh. Well.
It looked angry and when it continued it said that it didn't want to deal with us and that it had more important matters to attend too. Also, it said that it would deal with Susi if I didn't get her of his Tail.
*Susi twitches in surprise after hearing her name in that context fulling understand what Lizzy just said*
It said it came from another dimension after that it talked about Dialga and Palkia with me, only to cut the conversation short and saying that it had to get stronger."
Evan, Tessa, and Tom look at each other in confusion. A Pokémon saying something is already strange enough, but it mentioning that it had to get stronger is even weirder why should it be so determined? And especially the part about being from another dimension what's up with that?
Tom turns to me again and asks: "Did it say why it wanted to get stronger? Any reason?"
I scratch my head thinking about what the Pokémon told me: "Well... I was asking it if it was a legendary Pokémon because I had never seen a Pokémon like it before, also it could talk and knew about Dialga, Palkia and even Arceus.
But it seemed too small and weak for that so I asked it personally."
*I take some deep breaths*
Tessa cuts into the conversation: "And?! What did it say? You can't take a break after saying something like that!"
"Well it seemed angry, but it answered with something along the lines of 'Did you think Dialga and Palkia popped out of their eggs being 5 Meters tall?'" (Lizzy)
„Well... huh. That's a good point isn't it?", Tessa asks and scratches her head.
"Did they even hatch out of eggs? I thought Arceus created them, did he create them as adults?" Evan asks, he seems to be having more good-parent thoughts, not really thinking about the important Parts.
Tom now joins the Thought-Factory of his colleagues: " So basically, we could be after a legendary Pokémon or just some highly Intelligent evil Pokémon. -"
"Or both" Tessa cuts into Toms thought
"Or both which would make it even scarier. Intelligent and evil are bad enough, adding the power of a legendary could be catastrophic, our region never had anything to do with legendaries or pseudo-legendaries. We just don't know how to deal with one." - Tom having some worried thoughts.
Tessa and Tom both swallowing.
They know if times are dangerous or difficult the region will need their help. Arenas do exist in this region just like a Pokémon League, but even though they have been existent longer than in Alola, they are weaker compared to other regions. Many of the strong trainers rush through this region just to clear it on their way to become a Pokémon Master and continue training in the other regions, that's why not many strong Trainers stay in Noaho. That's probably why not so many people heard about this region.
Tom, Tessa, and Evan watch each other trying to figure out what to do. That when Tessa ends the quiet: "First we should probably tell Claudia about it. We can figure out what to do with the others."
Evan and Tom just agree by nodding.
I don't know how to react to that, .... but I have to do something! : "How about you guys talk to it when you find him. If he's smart he probably has a Reason, right?"
Tom and the Others turn back towards me and Tom replies in a casual tone: "Well, of course, that's how we would do it, are you sure it won't attack Humans?"
"Well he didn't attack me, right? And if he wants to get stronger he wouldn't gain anything from defeating Humans right?"
That's all I can think of if that doesn't convince them I don't know what will.
Tom scratches his head: "It seems we have been way to excited about this whole thing, that does indeed make sense."
Evan continues: "Talking or not we should tell the Team to not battle it in any situation."
*All of them look at Evan with a questioning face*
"Why are you looking at me? It seems to have quite the temper. It got angry after being called angry and small after all. Taking out your Pokémon might be triggering him to use them to get stronger right?"
Tom: "Well it does make sense even if it doesn't have to be true. Let's just tell them to not react hostile and talk calmly like we do with all other friendly Pokémon."
"Alright I will do that then, give me a second
Guys." - Tessa says turns
Tessa steps a few meters back to not disturb the conversation in case it continues and starts talking into her Walkie Talkie.
- "Claudia? It's me, Tessa, we got Intel about the Killer-Pokémon, from one of the Farmers Children around here."
Claudia seems to respond but from where I stand I cannot understand much.
"Well we found out that it's highly intelligent, knows about Arceus and what it created and it came from another Dimension. It's probably -"
Tessa seems to have gotten cut off by Claudia, I guess that's their Team Captain. Claudia seems to be pretty excited about the news because I could hear the "Whaaat?!" Even where I stand. The rest was quieter and not understandable again. After Claudia finished her part, Tessa continues.
"Well yes, you heard me right. We got all this information from this girl who met it in person and she talked to it directly, that's why we know all this. ANYWAY! Captain, please listen to this, it's supposedly not hostile towards humans, so we should try to do nothing to provoke it to rethink. So using Pokémon is a no-no.
Its goal is to get stronger, and using Pokémon might be an invitation for it to use our Pokémon to get stronger."
Claudia seems to have calmed down not cutting in anymore.
„Well, that's the most important stuff, I can give you the details if you guys come back with the Bug-Types."
Claudia responds.
„Well, sure thing I will do that then. How far are we with the mission by now? Any news?"
A few seconds go by and Claudia finished her reply.
„Oh, that's terrible. But I'm glad to hear that we could save some of them. Alright, we will be ready when you come by. See you then."
Tessa turns and walks back to the group.
„Hey Guys, so the Captian and the others are ready to get the first Caterpies and Weedles here soon. They'll be over here in about 10 Minutes."
Before I can say anything Tom and Evan already start asking the important questions.
Tom: "Alright. So how many dead Insect-types are we talking about?"
Evan: "How many could they safe until now and how many will they be bringing in one go?"
Tessa replies to them in a calm matter, she doesn't sound happy about the news though: "Well, our ATV-Riders spread out to go for the Caterpies and Weedles that the Ranger thinks got killed last. We can save most of those. When our Friends on the ATVs get the last ones of the first Wave onto the Jeeps we can expect 26 Bug Types to get here. Four of the ones they checked we already dead for too long. We don't know their level because they died but we can guess that those were weaker ones or just killed earlier than the others."
Evan seems a bit sad: "So we lost four in the first wave? That's bad. That Pokémon had to kill them one after another for them to have been hit that hard. So we can expect that there are nearly none in the next wave?"
I'm just standing between the three, not really knowing what's going on.
Tom seemingly down as well: "That's terrible. Anything new from Jake, Darren, Nick, and Richard? Did they find dead ones on the beach?"
Tessa seemingly relaxing now that the topic switches: "No they didn't find any dead ones yet. They checked on the Shinx and Luxios as well as on the Lycanroc and Rockruff. They were all fine so they drove to look for the Dewott and Oshawott. Lastly, they will check on the Floatzels and Buizels."
Tom: "Well, at the very least we got some good news. Let's hope they won't find any."
Tessa hopefull while breathing out: "Yeah let's hope... Any way We got a few Minutes, Lizzy do you still have any Questions?"
"Eh.. uhh... Well, I didn't really get what you meant with the time of death and what the Level of the Pokémon Level has to do with it, or why it does matter anyway?"
While I ask Susi lays down next to my feet, she seems to be less interested since the topic drifted away from the mysterious Legendary.
"Oh well, it's not that complicated. You know that you can revive Pokémon at the Pokémon center right?" - Tessa
"Well of course! Everybody knows that" - I wonder why she would ask something that simple.
"And you know that you only have a certain amount of time for it. Right?"
"Well, no not really... I never knew that you had to do it in a certain amount of time like most trainers do I would do it as quick as possible." - this one it shocking me quite a bit, not knowing that is crazy, I mean what happens if you go past that time limit.
"Oh, wow. I thought they did teach that much in Trainer-School these days?" - Tessa *surprised*
"Oh, I didn't go to Trainer School. After School I continued work on the farm of my parents, I didn't have the time to become a great trainer."
Tessa is touching her forehead, closing her eyes, acting like someone who realized that she just said something dumb: "Right. Right. You are working on the farm of your parents after all. Sorry, I didn't think about it. It's rare after all to see a Growlithe with a non-trainer, and I completely forgot about that."
*Susi is raising her head looking up after hearing that the topic came back to be about herself, now listening closely again*
Tessa seems to get back to her normal self again: "Well, depending on the Strenght, Level of your Pokémon, whatever you want to call it you have more or less time to get it to a Pokémon-Center to revive it. I would guess that for example, Susi would have more than 24 hours at the very least, while she isn't trained in that aspect her fitness and build seems to be really good."
"OH! Thanks! That's good to know! Especially because she runs off every time we go for a walk.
*I look down at Susi with an annoyed expression, I know she understands me so I can try to make her get how I feel about her actions as well, at least I hope so.*
"So that means that when you picked up the last killed Pokémon first, that even though many of them still can be saved, that the later ones are most likely dead?" - now that I understood the principle I'm worried that many of those 40 something Pokémon will end up dead for eternity.
Tessa continues: "Well, sadly yes that's probably how it will be."
"Is there any way on how I can help? Maybe I can help you guys find them and carry them?" - I'm curious if there is anything I can do, I'm sure ... that he... did he tell me his name? Wow. I never even thought of asking it! I can't believe it, anyhow I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we save them after he already got the Experience.
"I'm afraid not Lizzy, but thanks. We can try asking Claudia, I mean our Team Captian later maybe she knows something you can help with! We are always happy to get a helping hand! They should be here soon let's just wait. Are your parents ok with you being out for this long?"
- Tessa seems to be back to her happy self while Tom and Evan talk with each other.
*They seem to be ok with Tessa talking to me alone. She really seems to like talking. hahaha.*
"Hahaha - Yes, of course. I already did most of my work and I'm out with Susi so they aren't worried. As long as I text them from time to time it's totally alright."
Tessa *slaps her hands together* relieved: "Great then let's hang out until the Squad gets back and let's see how you can help!"
******* Present: Karl's Perspective a few Kilometers away ********
I have walked,... I guess one or 2 hours now and am dead tired this night was really exhausting. The Sun is beginning its journey upwards and some bird Pokémon started singing minutes ago. I should probably catch some sleep before my day and night rhythm get's totally out of hand.
I can start seeing the end of the beach, were the terrain changes from sandy beach into a more rocky terrain with large boulders and a cliff to the side of the water.
Maybe I should check it out when I don't feel like collapsing from exhaustion. The night took it's tall on me I can only hope that I gained something from it.
I walk a few meters more when I find a nice looking tree with wide and thick branches to sleep on. I still prefer the high ground over a small bush. Even if I risk falling down, or growing so much that the branches break under the weight of my body.
I climb up no problem and get onto the thickest branch I find. It's not too high, but should be out of eye range for anything up to 1,70 meters tall. That's good enough for a forest filled with Bug-Types and annoying rat-beaver and other boring normal Type Pokémon.
Doesn't take me a long time to snap into the land of dreams, which reminds me. I never had any dreams for a long time and I think about this and the life I had before... weird. But I guess it's alright if you don't get nightmare either right?
... to be continued...
Hey here goes another chapter.
I don't have much to say other than, that I'am quite pleased with how it's going so far. There should be more interaction between Karl and others the next chapters. If you have anything you would like to see happening, and it's not to far of the writing style of the story please let me know I will see what I can do. :)
