Wax opened her eyes once again, what Roxy had told and showed her made her understand the situation. The realization that her body as Wax was dead and her soul now inhabiting Roxy's body.
She doesn't know how that happened, she didn't know either that she had been this desperate to live.
She thought she was ready to leave when she pulled out all the pins but she thought wrong.
She looked at the woman who was sleeping holding her hands. Roxy's mother and now Wax has to call her "Mom" from then onwards.
Wax was an orphan and the feeling of having a mother somewhat made her feel love. She knew she wasn't her real mother but she thought the feeling would be the same.
"She looks tired and worried," Wax thought. She touched Roxy's mom's head that made her open her eyes.
"Roxy, honey, how do you feel?" Roxy's mom asked.
"I am fine now, I am sorry for scaring you earlier." Wax said.
"Oh honey, you don't have to say that. I should be the one who should feel sorry for you. I was too busy and had not noticed that everyone was hurting you, either physically or mentally." Roxy's mom said sobbing.
"I will call Dr. Marshal, OK?" she added and pressed the button.
"Is there anything you want honey?"
"No, I just wanted to see you. I am happy you're here." Wax said emotionally.
As Roxy's mom is about to say something, Dr. Marshal comes in.
"Hi Roxy. I'm sure you are very fine now right?" Dr. Marshall asked.
"Yes, thank you."
"As I said earlier, you are good to go now. All your laboratory tests are normal. You can go to school if you want, just don't put too much strain on your body, especially your back." Dr. Marshal announced.
"Thank you Dr. Marshal." Roxy's mom said happily ang looked at Wax who was smiling at her.
"All right, I will prepare your discharge papers now. Amelie please follow me" Dr. Marshal said and left.
“I will just take care of this first honey.” Amelie, Roxy’s mom, said she agreed easily and nodded.
As Dr. Marshal and Amelie left, Wax got up and went to the bathroom. She stared at her reflection and said, “From now on I am you, I will start to get used to your name and will take care of your body and your mom, I promise you that.”
Roxy fixed herself to be presentable enough to leave the hospital. She found dresses that were not her style. “Roxy, why do you dress like this?” she complained to herself.
Because she had no other option, she just wore it and made a promise to buy a new one. She has a lot of money as Wax, and she already thinks of a way to get it.
“Amelie said she was working all the time and she did not notice that Roxy had been bullied all along.” She thought. She realized that Roxy had a tough time because she was too kind. She did not hold a grudge at all. She just wanted her mom to be okay.
As she left the bathroom, Amelie got into the room. Amelie was surprised to see her dressed already and suddenly Amelie found something she couldn't point out.
“Mom, I am ready, let’s go.” Roxy told Amelie, which she just nodded as an answer to her.
“What's wrong mom? Is there a problem?” Roxy asked in confusion.
“No, nothing at all. I just find you odd.” Amelie answered.
“Why?”
“You seem different. I know it was you but, oh, doesn’t matter. With what happened to you, I am sure you are still weak. You had been in a coma for 3 months and almost lost your life, if you suddenly changed, it was understandable.” Amelie explained.
“It’s ok mom, I understand you. Maybe it’s what you said. I myself felt different. I just hope it was for the best.” Roxy replied and Amelie said no more. They got out of the hospital and went home.
Wax remembers their house as Roxy’s memory helps her. She was thankful that she was able to gain all of Roxy's memory so it wasn't hard to be with people or places. What bothers her most was, Roxy was different from her in all aspects. She was sure that everyone would notice the difference once they saw her.
Amelie asked her to rest the whole day and left her in her bedroom. Before Amelie could walk out her door, she said, “I wanted to attend school tomorrow.”
Amelie stood still and could not believe what she just heard. She never thought that she would want to go back to school this early. She was already thinking of a way to make her agree to go back to school. She just found out that she was being bullied at school and was afraid that Roxy would be too afraid to attend school anymore.
“Are you sure about that? You can rest first and pass this year.” Amelie asked her.
“I am sure, don't worry about me mom. I will take care of myself from now on.” Roxy answered and smiled. Amelie was still in dazed but decided to agree to her.
“If that’s what you want, you can go back to school tomorrow. But you have to rest now. OK?” Amelie replied with concern in her eyes.
Amelie left her room and she was in deep thought. Thinking how she could get back with everyone was consuming her.
“See you tomorrow, strangers.”
