3:Future

After two hours had passed the nurse finally came and took us to the scan room and there, we meet Doctor Dreck again.

"Ranny come here and lie down on your back" doctor dreck called to me.

"Here doctor the receipt" mom said handling the bill proof to the doctor. After the doctor checked it, l removed my shoes and lay down on the small bed.

"Okay Ranny when the bed starts to move don't move your head and don't close your eyes too okay?" l looked at my mom a little nervous and she gave me her reassurance smile giving me a little courage, so l smiled back.

"Don't worry Ranny it won't hurt at all this is completely safe l give you my word" with those words l took a deep breath and did as l was told but at that moment l opened my eyes. When did l close my eyes? wait where am l. l looked around, but all l could see was darkness.

"Mom! mom! mom where are you!" l kept calling for a while, but nothing changed, wait is this how the scan should be like but why didn't they tell me. l was confused and really scared when suddenly l opened my eyes. Huh when did l close my eyes again gosh what's happening to me. l looked around and found out that l was back inside my room. Okay this is now creeping me out, is this a dream? or it's something else.

l opened the door and went into the living room to find mom but what greeted me got my whole body trembling. Infront of me was my mom and ---Me!! cuddling together while watching Tv. Is that me or a twin, but mom never told me about a twin did they lie to me or am just imagining things again. l was furious and enrage l put my hands forward planning to shake my mom really hard, but my hands passed right through her making me stood there in daze.

"Mom "l called her waving my hand infront of her but she kept staring at the Tv like she didn't see me. l tried many things like screaming, pretending to be chocked and l even planned on slapping her when my hand passed through her again like she was air. Wait--- is she a ghost no she can't see me, but l can see her which means l am the ghost.

"Huh!!" h-o-w is this even possible, a-m l died. l was on the verge of breaking down when l heard the other me call my mom.

"Mom" her voice sounded just like mine.

"Yes Ranny" l felt the corners of my lips twitch. l am Ranny not that other me or twin or even a witch l don't know. Gosh l don't know anything this is so frustrating!!.

"Did the results come out it's been two days already?" what results are they talking about?.

"Now that l think about it, they really should have come out already. Let me get my phone maybe they already came out" mom said reaching for her phone on the other side on the couch. She looked for a while before giving one of her big happy smiles.

"Look Ranny they out!"

"Really what do they say?" she gave the other me a big hug before saying,

"l knew nothing was wrong with you baby look the brain results all came clear you absolutely fine, but it also says we have to go see the doctor the day after tomorrow."

"Phew" the other me gave a sigh of relief.

Brain scan what are they talki--- wait is this the FUTURE!!.

At that moment l opened my eyes and found myself back in the scan room again.

"Ranny, you did great the scan is over you will get the results in two days hopefully" the doctor said but l think l kind of already knew the scan results but did l really just see the future.

"Thank you doctor" mom thanked the doctor and l looked back and forth at the two of them but they looked normal. Was l the only one who saw that, or they all are playing a prank on me?.

"It took longer than l had expected" l said to test if they srsly didn't see anything.

"What you are talking about Ranny it didn't even take more than 5 mins" and there it was my confirmation.

"Am just joking mom" l said forcing a laugh but truly l just wanted to sleep right now all this is just so confusing.

"Come on then you must be hungry let's go get a bite before going home okay" l nodded. Maybe the hunger got in my head and started to do its tricks on me again.

"Once again thank you doctor will take our leave now."

"Safe travels"

We were now on the highway when l suddenly thought about the future l saw. l looked at my mom who was busy humming a song and thought of something.

"Mom?"l called her.

"Yes Ranny"

"What do you think about the people who can see or predict the future?"

"Ranny don't believe anyone who comes to you and say they can see the future they are liars just wants to scheme you."

"Really?"

"Yes, always stay away from those people okay they are bad news" she replied, and l just nodded. Then it means am not one of them cause am not bad news am a good girl, yeah sometimes am bad but am still a good girl, right? yes right but it felt so real. Was it my imagination again or it is also related to the calling voice.

l looked outside the window and watched as trees and trees left behind. l wanted answers but everywhere l looked made me feel even more depressed so all l could do was wait. lf l could really see the future, then am sure that scene will surely repeat itself.
