Princess Kyra had just woken up. She was deciding on her outfit for today's celebration.

She heard a knock on the door as she glanced at her maid. As a sign, she understood what her gaze meant. She walked to the door, opened it, and asked, "Yes?"

"Did you hear the Princess is turning eighteen today?" One maid murmured to the other. The other answered, "Yes. Do you think he will be here?"

Princess Kyra shakes her head helplessly and walks toward the throne room as her father asks for her.

When Princess Kyra entered the throne room, everyone lowered their eyes as she walked toward her father. It was their usual reaction after seeing her.

Princess Kyra stands before her father and asks coldly, "Father, you called me." Her father looks at her and replies, "Yes, your mate asks for your presence at his place. So, you *sigh* have to leave in a few hours."

Princess Kyra held a poker face and replied, "Okay, I'll tell my maid to pack the things I might need there. If nothing else, I'll take my leave."

She bowed her head as a courtesy to her father, The Emperor, and left.

Emperor Frederick took a deep breath. It's hurting, looking at her poker face and talking with them coldly. He feels that she stopped smiling the day they took away her dreams.

When Empress Mary heard the news, she went to her daughter's bedroom, where Princess Kyra directed the maids on which dress to take with her.

Upon seeing Empress Mary, the maids bowed their heads and took leave. Princess Kyra bowed as a courtesy and turned back to look at her dresses.

Empress Mary asked, "Happy Birthday, My child."

Princess Kyra smiled slightly and replied, "Thank you, Her Majesty."

Empress Mary had tears in her eyes as she asked, "Kyra, my child, Can you please talk to us like you used to do? I am missing my daughter. Where is my bubbly, talkative, and lovely Kyra?"

Princess Kyra replied coldly, "I don't want to say this, but you killed her. Let me be honest. I want to forgive you both and talk to you like nothing happened, but couldn't. I cannot forget that you didn't even think about me and gave me to someone else. So, let's behave like this for a few more hours, and then I will leave this palace."

Both mother and daughter had tears in their eyes. The pain was visible in their eyes. Empress Mary didn't say anything further and left her chamber.

She cried for an hour and then used the water on the table to wash her face.

Prince Charles realizes that he asked for her. Before Princess Kyra could say anything, Prince Charles said while there were unshed tears in his eyes, "You are going. He asked for you. Sis Kyra, please don't leave us. I promise I'll behave. Please."

Princess Kyra hugged her brother and replied, "I don't want to, Charles, but you see, we can't do anything." Prince Gabriel hugged them and didn't say anything.

Soon, time drifted, and it was time for the celebration.
