Michael and Daniel both went to the basement, only to found out that their other members were almost dead due to blood loss. Seeing this, both men gritted their teeth and tried to help them recover their health.

Wounds all over the bodies and blood that long since dried were greatly displayed. Their three other members were a man and two women. Their limbs were broken and dislocated, even the strongest in the team, Jordan, were in a critical condition.

"How can he do this?" Daniel uttered with red eyes. The anger was visibly shown on his dark eyes.

Michael also gritted his teeth and forced himself to calm down, and checked the other's condition. Finally, one of the two women slowly regain her consciousness and widened her eyes in shocked when she saw her captain.

Her hair were messy all other her face and her eyes immediately tear up and weakly shouted, "C-Captain..."

"Shh. Charlotte, you need to regain your strength, so don't move."

Charlotte instantly stopped moving and nodded.

She was originally a beautiful and popular girl in the campus, but the apocalypse happened. She lost her admirers and her precious parents. She trained for almost half a year, and her talent for science was obviously very beneficial. She works hard until she was chosen to join the group of Michael by being their doctor.

The biggest mission was assigned to their team and as a past student of Dr. Steins, Charlotte knows better. She motivates herself that once she succeeded in this mission, maybe their captain will finally see her as a woman. But something happened. After arriving at the hospital, a man in a strange costume appeared and attacked them. She has definitely seen zombies and was terrified by them, but years of training make her used to it, and yet she felt her legs weakened when that man stared at them. He was obviously a human, but he possessed enormous strange, knocking their strongest team member with just a single punch. She was scared to death, but maybe the man spared them a bit, that's why she barely survived.

She buried her face into Michael's chest after she finished her explanation. The Captain sooth her with his gentle voice while Daniel kicked the trash not far from him.

This is terrible!

How can a human treat another human like that?

Isn't supposed for everyone to be united? Actually, with a time like this?

Daniel doesn't understand it anymore. But his anger was not only on the fact that his co-members were injured by that bastard, but for also for that gorgeous green-eyed youth. He licked his lips and his throat seems to dry.

"Captain, I don't think he's a human! How can he have strength like that?" Charlotte continues to talk, "Mutation? It's been so long since the apocalypse happened, maybe that man was a zombie! He only mutated or had a consciousness?"

Daniel stopped frowning and was stunned. Michael also went silent.
