The Proposition.

Ryder didn't know what he was doing when he struck Grayson out of impulse. It was also the same when Grayson stopped all his attacks and attack him, making him lose that fight completely.

Denzel said something about the drawbacks of both of them to Grayson once, but of all of them, it was the one of a Rhinoceros he could recall, getting easily frightened.

So that was why he did all he could to persuade Ryder to have a conversation with him. Sony was still pinned to the wall, regretting his actions when he saw the sufferings Ryder went through.

Ryder already had one of his hands broken, and Grayson was already going for his second hand.

Sony could not take the sight of it anymore, so, he jabbed Leo's hand with his fists, and struggled to release himself from Leo's lock.

He ran towards Grayson, delivering a punch to Grayson's face. Grayson didn't notice him until he was already very near, so all Grayson could do was to move back, away from Ryder to evade that attack, and immediately, Sony used that opportunity to pick up Ryder, making webs from different points of his body, and using them to enclose Ryder.

Leo knew when Sony released himself, but he didn't know when he got to Grayson. Sony was very fast.

"Ryder, let's get out of here," Sony ran towards the door, holding Ryder that was already buried in his webs. He carried Ryder in one of his arms and used the second one to pull the door open.

Grayson smiled a bit and went to close his door. Leo didn't understand what made him feel pleased, but he left him to have his moment.

"Hey, Ted, are you home already?" Denzel said that after he picked up the call Ted sent him.

-"Well, seems like I am not getting home anytime soon. My dad is sick, and he needs me to stay with him to take care of him."-

"Ohh, that's cool, you don't have to worry about me anymore, I moved to Oceandire to stay with my family, so, you don't have to rush things because of me," Denzel replied.

-"Ohh, that's nice, I just thought I should let you know,"-

"Okay--" Denzel wasn't done talking when he heard the beep of his phone.

"Dad, let's get back to what we were talking about," Denzel turned to face his father after he placed his phone back on his bed.

"Wait a minute, I am still trying to comprehend the fact that you lived in Mountaly for about four years in my head. I only asked because I needed to know what you have been doing for those four years when you were being accused of being a Serial Killer," Chris placed his palm on his forehead, thinking intensively.

"You know what began all these right, the death of my friends, and I guess I explained it to you that I didn't kill them. Leia, I am sure you know her also because I told you about her when we became friends, Leia was the culprit," Denzel began to explain the whole story, from that day till the present. He told his dad about how he also met Zoey at Mountaly, clarifying that he didn't know anything about the M.D serial killings until Zoey arrived.

The story was valid, and the father believed him, nodding each time to make Denzel know that he was all ears.

From the beginning, Carrie didn't want to believe Denzel did any of those, and that was why Carrie concluded that he might have been dead, persuading her reluctant father to build an empty grave for Denzel.

Chris didn't for once think that Denzel was dead since Denzel called him to tell him about his vacation. But that left his dad with thoughts of Denzel really doing them since he didn't for once contact them at home.

Chris had promised himself that the day he met Denzel, he was going to scold him, but hearing the whole story, those thoughts left him.

"You really stayed at that vacant city," Chris stated, taking his hands that were already on his chin away from his face.

"But Dad, that's where all the allegations end, I don't know whether to declare that I am a murderer or not right now, like, I ended killing someone, even though I was not in my right senses,"

When Denzel began telling his father about all that happened when he returned to Hilldale, his father looked anguished.

Chris tried all he could to prevent Denzel from living that type of life, and that was why he didn't want him to have anything to do with any other Beast.

But, he knew within him that it was inevitable, a Beast could not live without other Beasts finding out, especially those Beasts of two animals, anywhere they were, they feel uncomfortable if they are close to a Beast, whether they are in animal form or human form.

'Well, he hasn't done much,' Chris thought to himself after he heard it all, about how he unintentionally killed E-phant, and also about how he ended the life of five guys, by convincing them to commit suicide.

"Dad, don't even think of stopping me because I won't be satisfied until I kill Leia. Telling me not to kill anyone now is pointless because I have done it once. Whatever it is, I am now a murderer,"

"Why don't you leave it in the hands of justice?"

"Dad, you are missing the point. Even when justice was meant to take care of her, they covered up her mistakes, framing me for their murder,"

"But you know that there are lots of people after you, Investigators, Prosecutors, and now, Zoo Keepers, so, how do you want to do it?"

"I don't know, if they arrive here, I would look for another place to hide, and I would keep hiding until I find her."

"When you kill her, what else?"

"I don't know, if they want to arrest me then, I would gently surrender and face my punishment then. But, then again, even if I kill her, I am sure to die, since the Zoo Keepers are on my watch. And I won't care as far as I have killed Leia. It isn't like I have anyone by my side."

"You have us, Our family. You say Ted is still alive right, you have him too,"

"Dad--"

"Wait..." Chris pulled out his hand, gesturing to Denzel to stop. "How about Carrie, she is really worried about you, she doesn't like the way you turned out. She said you are no more the caring and cheerful brother she knows,"

"Carrie... She is the only person I am worried about. She doesn't deserve any of these, and if I am done with my mission, I would make sure she gets the best before I die, I don't know it would get done, but, I would make sure it gets done."

"Denzel, how about a proposal?"

"What proposal?"

"I get you a credible lawyer to investigate the whole case and make sure they get the real truth no matter what, whether it costs me my life. "

"That's a good proposal, but, what do we do about the latter? Would they also want to defend the crimes I have committed?"

"What are lawyers for?"

"Dad, if I don't see one in two weeks, then I would continue with my Objective. Just two weeks, because there is no time for me to hide, I am being hunted by Zoo Keepers, so I need to know what to do. If by chance, I die, I hope you would be able to bring her to book. Whether we bring her to book or not, I am still going to die, because the Zoo Keepers are not hunting me for the crime, but because I am a Beast. The only reason I am refusing to die is that I want to kill Leia before I do, but if your proposition works out, I don't care about death anymore."

"Two weeks Huh? That's long enough," Chris smiled a bit.
