Sony was annoyed by Ryder's simple attitude. He had a feeling that Grayson was planning something telling them to talk with him.
"Ryder, should we be wasting our time doing this? At this rate, we can't capture M.D. What if he is actually buying time for M.D to escape if he is actually not here?" Sony complained, he expected Ryder to discern, but Ryder was more gullible than he expected.
"Sony, I am the one in charge of this mission, let me do it," Ryder assured Sony, using that to tell him to keep it shut. He faced Grayson, "Young man, please, could we have M.D? We don't want to cause mishaps, we were only ordered to get him. So please, why don't you just give him to us?" Ryder added.
"Do you think I would sell him out to you even if he was here?" Grayson told Ryder, he had a blank expression on his face as he spoke.
"Ryder, I told you, let's get--"
"Hey, you are weak, and you know that. If anyone is going to attack me, it should be this guy wearing the Rhino mask. You have no say in this,"
For a minute, Ryder wanted to giggle, but he just swallowed it in, and let out a smile on his face, knowing that none of them would notice it. He was delighted, realizing that he was the one that was always interrupted. But then, Grayson had completely shut Sony up, giving Ryder the privilege to speak.
Sony, on the other hand, was already getting pissed. He couldn't argue with Grayson about that fact, as he had already seen how strong he was. Even the kick Grayson gave him that day, was not a fragile one despite how unbalanced Grayson was.
"Young man, please may I know your name?"
"Grayson,"
"Grayson, please, I would want to say that you sounded rude."
"It's fact, if the two of you were sent, it would mean that your strength would be almost the same. And measuring your strength using your pals', I would want to say you are weak too, but I haven't seen how strong you are. I am only sure of your friend's power"
"Hey, take that back--" Sony was about to talk for Ryder, but, Ryder raised one of his arms, telling Sony to back off. Little did he know that the conversation was going against him.
"You might want to go one on one against me, but, that might be your death. You probably know that, but I would still want to prove it. But I know you wouldn't want to lose in a fight against someone you think you are stronger than, so I would give you two options," Grayson raised his hand, folded to a fist. He raised his index finger to signal the first proposition.
"First, you go back to whoever sent you, and report that you can't capture him, or," Grayson raised his middle finger with his index finger, "You get killed here and get no other option to go back home. Well, either one, you might probably lose all you have because your boss might not want that from you,"
At that point, hearing Grayson threaten Ryder, Sony couldn't take it anymore, so he rushed into Grayson, pulling his Geom instantly to use it to strike Grayson.
But after everything had calmed down, Sony saw that he was about to strike an empty seat. He couldn't even strike it completely because Leo held his hands, as tight as he could.
Leo was already a mystery for him, but he was also disturbed about where Grayson had run to. He looked behind him and saw Grayson at a corner in the room, the blank look not vacating his face, as he rotated his fist.
'Where did this guy come from?' Sony turned to look at Leo, and he saw that he also had a blank expression on his face. 'What's with these two?' He thought to himself.
Sony immediately turned to look at Ryder, who was already sweating profusely.
Ryder was a simple-minded person, always wanting to do things quick and in the right way.
As they both went for missions together, Sony noticed that Ryder had a habit of quickly exterminating his opponent, or if it was to capture, he took no time to get them unconscious. Sony asked him once why he always hurried to take care of them, but Ryder didn't answer him.
He then had the chance to read the secrets of the Ten Zookeepers in a book that was concealed in a room that he had access to by chance.
He read that, Ryder's biggest fear was getting threatened. Apparently, he was naturally that way because of the Rhinoceros he had in him, but, he also had a bitter experience in his past which made him get scared of death or anything relating to him getting killed.
After seeing that, Sony guessed that was probably the reason why Ryder was always quick with anything he had to do. Normally a person would want to fight it till he gets a chance, but Ryder gets the person down before the fight even begins.
He only watched Sony attack Denzel from the sidelines because he didn't want to be part of a pointless massacre that he was sure Sony would do. If he had the chance, he would have ended Denzel in a minute.
"That's not fair for who you are up against, even when they are not ready, you just kill them, you should be an assassin, killing from the shadows," Sony once said to Ryder.
"What do you mean? Who cares about fairness when you are ordered to kill?"
"You are just boring, I love a Long combat, because, it gives me chance to weave new things, I get lots of inspiration in battles," Sony clarified.
But apart from his opponent, Ryder also hated having to kill anyone that had nothing to do with him.
If he got a chance with his opponent's friend, he preferred to infer about the person rather than force out information out of them. He also hated fighting anyone that he was not ordered to kill, and that was why he was so cool with Grayson.
'I caused it... only If I had ended this days ago,' Sony thought to himself, He kept on looking at Ryder. "Ryder! Chill,"
"Hey, keep it shut, no one wants combat here, you should not rush to fight--" Leo was Still telling Sony when Ryder stood and dashed towards Grayson.
It was a reckless thing to do, as that was not his style of fighting, his mind was completely clouded.
"Ryder, Don't!" Sony yelled again when Leo slammed him on the wall, pinning him to it.
"You should not interfere," Leo said to him again, pinning him even stronger than he did before.
Leo's strength was not one to joke with. As strong as Sony was, he couldn't release himself from the lock.
It was something to be expected from someone who was the right-hand man of the person that trained Leia. Leo was no joke, he was another type of oddity, he wasn't even a Beast, He was just insanely powerful.
