Chapter 24: Kaguya and The Second Attack

The next day. At Dawn.

Blue sky, fresh air, and soft and warm sunlight that caressed my skin as I left my tent. I looked at my surroundings with a smile.

I must say that I'm extremely happy, How would I not be happy? I sleep in the same bed with my beloved, the man that I love. Even though the latter is injured and falls unconscious.

I side-step dodging a red dagger aimed at my back and I slashed at the assassin with Yukihime, the assassin hastily retreat the dagger aimed at my back and use to block Yukihime.

*Clank!*

The assassin grunted, he could feel the cold energy that passed through his dagger towards the hand holding the dagger, he then decides to escape but how I could I allow that I decided to finish him or at least severally injure him.

As I was about to pursue him, I felt chill on my back, I must quickly escape from where I stood or else I will probably lose my life. I crushed a small talisman and I vanished from where I was, reappearing five meters from my previous location. It was a small scale teleportation talisman mother give for my self-protection.

I automatically activated my Frost domain, a domain of seventeen meters covered in ice, yes I'm already one step away from Peak Legendary Tier, it means I'm at peak middle Legendary Tier. It's for this reason that my Frost domain extended to seventeen meters. I pointed my fingers towards the three assassins and fired more than a hundred Ice Arrows, using their daggers they deflected most of the arrows.

The three launched their daggers towards me, I used Yukihime to parry those daggers.

I don't have unlimited stamina, I must quickly end this fight, I can't maintain the Ice Dome for a too long while at the same time fighting against three early Supreme Tier.

I then decided to become serious, I switched to my serious self, my Ice Goddess mode as they like to call it. The remaining one, left arm holding the dagger become frozen, turning into ice, even the rest of body started slowly freezing, he hastily cut off that arm and quickly escape but before escaping he gives me a warning:

" We will come back, I hope that you won't intervene because we don't want to draw the ire of the Ice Empress, Ms. Crown Princess Kaguya Mio Sakura. This doesn't concern you. Please stay out of it."

I only chuckled in response looking at the third assassin escaping.

I'm exhausted, after cleaning everything I turned back and decided to see how Kyle was doing but when I wanted to enter the tent Kyle come out and look at me, he smiled, he was already dressed.

I smiled back and said " We need to talk"

He smiled and went back inside the tent, I follow suit, we need to talk I must understand what is happening.
